Impressive but you do have the oven witch seems to be one of the most important part of the job!!!!! Awesome content keep up the awesome work you do!!!!
I really enjoy your videos, especially the one where you broke down the 5-pin relay. I recently converted my 1995 Cherokee 2-door from 5x7 to 7" round headlights. The headlights interfered with the back of the housing for the turn signal/running lights, so I cut the back of the housing off, and installed led lights to the front of the turn housing. I used 2-5pin relays side by side for each turn/running light to be able to get the to work properly... First relay is basically only to run blinkers, and when the running lights are turned on, they go through the second relay, and blink opposite of the rear signals. in this instance, they work fine. The issue I'm having, is when i just use the turn indicators with no running lights, there is a ghost flash that occurs on the opposite side blinker just after the chosen side fires.... Happens on both sides. It totally works as it should with the running/headlights on... I know this probably sounds nutty, and there's probably a better way to do it, but i'm new to this game... SOOOOO My question is... 1) How can a blinker cause a ghost flash on the opposite side blinker? and 2) is there some sort of device or diode or something that I obviously don't know the name of, that will only let the circuit fire if it hits like 10 volts or above? I suppose it really won't matter TOOO much, because it really is just a baby ghost flash on the opposite side, But I would prefer my shit.... you know.... not to look shitty, ;-) Thank you brother for your help... Keep the great videos coming!
What about using the green rubber kitchen gloves ? The arm length ones - cut them off at the wrist . You use them with hot water doing dishes ??? Just a thought Thanks for the info
Would you recommend working on a light that has moisture in it? I accidentally melted the bulb holder in my Altima from an hid bulb and it got moisture in it. I was wondering if it was worth it to do a morimoto led projector retrofit and sealing the melted part with silicone or something. Or should I do the retrofit on a depo set?
Could you give me some tips on how I would make my door mirror turn signal lights into dynamic turn signals. They sell replacement led ones for other models but not mine any help would be appreciated I have a 2007 Mercedes e63 amg
@@flyryde I was thinking about it. Trying to.figure out if its a route id like to go. I was vacum forming lens and bezels and small interior parts. 3d printing would give more custimaztion and better turn out rates. Love your videos been following for quite awhile. Really appreciate yoour responce.
@@DerfOrNuffin if you figure out making lenses let me know. i need to make some clear ones without the stupid cross hatch design for corner lights on a 72 chevelle
@@danielbaugher1798 From my research sanding and polishing, alot of it. And the right calibrations, right machine, right material. Im about to buy a 3d printer though. Going to try it. Theres a few people that have already done it forbtheyre projects on YT 3d printed. One guy did the lens to his corvette.
Depeding on the shape and complexity you could vacuum form or resin cast too. Older cars are pretty easy to resin cast. But once i get a machine id love to give it a shot. They have programs you can scan the lens area with a cell and it will plot it out on.a printing program.
My kitchen ovens minimum is 170degF and I baked them for 15 minutes and had no problem pulling them apart or softening the Butyl with 170 - not sure what others have discovered. How did you arrive at 220F?
Great video as always, i just got my first retrofit headlight projector instaled but i have noticed a wobble on the passenger side of my headlight, is this normal for a retrofitted headlight? thank you
Hey there! I have to say that I am impressed by your knowledge and skills that you have. I do have a question for you. I have been struggling with some 2008 Audi A6 C6 4F headlights. All I could find online is that they are sealed from the factory with other then butyl rubber. It is called Permaseal. Ist there any way to open them without cutting through?
This just goes to show how good your videos are. He gets the live view while we have to watch a screen. He’s paid attention and watched you do this multiple times. Great job! (Watch those small metal screws, they’re hot. Lol)
Off topic from the video but, I’m looking for a small led switchback strips to put behind the door handles of my 03 f350, they can’t be longer then 3”, any recommendations? Thanks!
I would want to see if suction grabbers would be adequate in pulling apart the pieces, then you could use heat protective gloves & a long sleeve shirt to keep from getting burned?
Hello. Since you are playing around a lot with electronics, can you help me to find remote which will control 3-4 relays, but remote need to show when relay open with indicator, so basically 2 way remote where I can see status of relay if it’s open or closed
I have a gladiator with led headlights I wanted to install oracle Colorshift projector demon eyes on…after attempting to bake and pry off…it was a no for me. Would you be will to do it if I mailed them and paid you???
I baked mine like granny bakes pie lol...I seen one dude on UA-cam using his own DIY oven. It was an insulated box with a hot air gun blowing into it through a hole cut in the side of it. He even had a digital thermostat. Shit was pretty dope DIY. Minus the fire hazard.
What were those headlights out of? Looked like some of the reflectors had almost the exact same shape as the ones in the Mitsubishi Airtrek, or close to it rather.. long story behind my curiosity

So can we DIYs use a normal baked oven that's big enough to put a headlight in?
Any advice on QX80 lens can’t get it to budge. Only found two screws on backing went 240F for 20 min but no luck
Plan on taking apart my stock mazda 6 headlights once i get my new ones. Take it apart, black it out and seal it back up.
Dope, do it!

excited to see a mk7 golf headlight build. good stuff
Do you 3d print stuff like bezels and all that? What about printing lens and possibility?
No I keep everything as simple and straightforward as possible. I spend more time on wiring than anything.

Have you ever customized a set of 07-12 sentra lights

Is it true that Porsche 911 dont use butyl for sealing but hard glue? I have heard that you should cut them using ultrasonic blade to open them up.
What would u do to adhere drl strip if I’ve gta put in back in the oven when I seal it back up as wel as stickers are they fine or fall of
