That penalty on Neal for hitting Cook on the sideline wasn't for a late hit, it was for leading with his helmet.
rajan sandhu spot on good comment
Was going to say this. You win lol
Agreed
Basically they have set it up you can give a shove as play is all ready over, taking away the big hit where player is on the way out or out
@@damonwebb813 came here to say that too. The defender stood over him talking trash. That isn't how sidelines hits are supposed to work. Took out the guy on the sidelines too. If a player hits a star QB or WR like that, it gets flagged.
I'm British and have always liked the NFL as a kid but as an adult love channels like this as it gives me a chance to learn more. Also i must be a glutton for punishment as i choose to support the Vikings 😂.
Vikings fan my whole life.... Its gonna hurt buddy a lot. But when we win the title it'll be that much better. SKOL!!!
@@vincentcomposto3012well said SKOL
SKOL TO THE BOL!! I mean probably not, but yea it aint easy being a vikings fan
The flag wasnt on a late it. It was because the defender lowered and hit him with the crown of his helmet
I think the TD play was designed that way to pull the LBs. The Josh Kline (RG) pulling to pick up the weak side LB and Thielen looking for a DB instantly screams play design to me.
Definitely! I was about to comment on that.
Yup i commented same thing
Absolutely
The play is meant to go up the middle with the option to bounce outside if the middle closes up. Just as what happened. It is a designed play, but the middle is where the run is designed to go first
HE’S ELITE PUT SOME RESPECT ON HIS NAME
I’m sayin
It should be a late hit or unnecessary roughness. Cook clearly was slowing down and was going out of bounds with no indication of continuing, yet the falcon player still hit him full force. Hints why cook flew to the ground, b/c he wasn't expecting to be hit like that. The falcon player could had easily just push him out, instead he full force tackled him.
I told ppl Vikings was a running team they didn't listen now we have seen it love the vid JKS
U Need to do an Update Vid because Dalvin is The Best Back in Football Rite Now 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Other than that great video you were very informative and did a great job of breaking the game down to my other comment just hate the Saints who DAT psych now your QB is gone
Damn dude. Very informative. I love these types of breakdown videos and yours are some of the best I've seen. You have just earned a new subscriber.
Yeah it would be a lot better if you actually started the video with the Falcons not the Saints we already have a miracle with them
Can you do one on how the falcons O-line failed
Cook is elite. I would say he’s better than M. Gordon and maybe D. Johnson. Either way I’m subscribing this is a great breakdown.
Wait.. 4.7 average carry?
Doesn't that mean if he carries two times out of every First down acquisition he can singlehandedly get them another first down?
ArlanKels yes. Cook is that good
ArlanKels yes. Cook is that good
Cook is the real deal, great acceleration burst, low hip bend, agility and cut with vision. He lacks elite high end speed and won’t bruise your ass but he’s got good instincts and receiving hands.
agentorange20 he clocked the second highest mph in the past few years by a halfback according to sports science. And he has the same 20 yard split time a John Ross in pads. I’d say his speed is up their with the best of em.
This is the greatest channel for hardcore football fans.
I don’t think there’s any other RB who hits the hole as fast and decisive as Cook. He’s going to be one of the top RBs this year.
Good job man.
45 got trucked, son!
If cook can stay healthy he's absolutely a top 5 back in the league. The dudes vision is unmatched and he can cut on a dime without losing any speed. The only question with him is his durability, he stays healthy and he's an elite back, simple as that
I'm starting to think that with how much QB Pressure is starting to pop up
This might be the time for the running backs(etc) to shine, and showcase just how powerful The Run is.
I thought very good analysis, helped me better understand blocking strategy.
Good Job, Thanks
Liked and subscribed you.
The other thing Cousin has that Trubisky doesnt have is vision
He can quickly find the open option and react quickly....so many times Trubisky didnt even see the option(esp when open) and threw to the covered receiver
I was expecting Cook to go off since the moment Vikings drafted Bradbury.
8:32 Flag wasn't for a late hit. It was because the defender lead with his helmet.
Right. Now I know lots of people hate how "Soft" the NFL has become (although I don't think its soft).
In these scenarios... That kind of hit is literally unnecessary. If you can make the play with your pinkey finger but instead smash them to all hell.... I think it should be called.
If that means football is "weak". Then so be it. Point is to eliminate pointless big hits. That was pointless
Do they ever call it when an offensive player leads with his head like the running back did at 3:08?
@@PrimeForm1 They do. That was a rule change from about 3 years ago. Except what Dalvin here did was lead with his shoulder.
Man I see this almost beat Clemson by himself with no offensive line I think Florida at had like 9 penilties just on the offensive line alone but yeah I knew then he was good
The first touchdown was actually a counter the outside you can tell cause of the pulling guards
Around the 5 minute mark that play isn’t supposed to be a run up the middle at all. Sometimes it can be a run up the middle from that formation, but in this instance Thielen was in motion specifically to be the lead blocker on the outside because he is our best run blocking WR. It does almost look like it was supposed to be a run up the middle because of how far forward Dalvin ran before he cut to the outside, but that was all by design. The play was designed for Dalvin to push the hole up the middle to lure second level linebackers and safeties into the middle of the field to get bottlenecked and by the time they realized that it was a misdirection they didn’t have the agility to change directions and get to him. Yes Elflein was a little late on his block, but that isn’t why Dalvin cut to the outside.
Yep, good breakdown. Also Josh Kline pulling way around is a dead giveaway what the design of the play was.
Great job! I subscribed
He was stepping out of bounds when he got hit and the defensive player was flagged. He was not trying to stay in bounds, not even close, in fact I think he thought he was just going to step out of bounds that’s why he wasn’t protecting himself and that hit came out of nowhere for no reason other than frustration. Oh yeah Dalvin is an elite running back and the more teams don’t realize it the better for the Vikings. So keep saying he’s not on the level of two years not in the league Le’Veon Bell 603 days between snaps. Or Retodd freaking girly. Do you know who he does compare favorably to? Robert Smith. Robert Smith was hurt his first two years in the league and his third year he absolutely exploded and I see the same thing happening with Cook. He is going to have a spectacular year and a great career.
In terms of talent I think Cook is only surpassed by Saquan Barkley in the entire NFL. But he has to prove it over time with consistent production. Or else he's just a paper champion.
Make a sequel after today Cook was insane!!
Why are you showing NO Saints?
Been following the vikes since 73 they will find away to loose! Aaron Rodgers will eat them alive!!! PACK 45 Vikings 10.
LOLOLOLOL no boOMER OBVIOUSLY THE VIKINGS WIN 100-0 lolololol the packers r terrible they will never win
Packers will lose.
If he plays all 16 games he’s a 1,500+ yard 10+ TD runner
Yeah I see 13tds 1.5k yards
Rewatched part of the Chi packers game
Comparing your excellent breakdown to what GB faced
Most of Chi( when they actually ran) RB was set at Trubisky's hip, so no speed when receiving handoff, and almost all the runs the RB stopped and hesitated to see where he was going...GB collapsed, end of story
Vs what u showed of speed at handoff, acceleration and quick on the fly high IQ decision making from Cook....will see how GB adjusts to that on Sunday(huge adjustment)
We're Looking forward to it! Go Pack Go!
The Bears destroyed Green Bay's offensive line in the first half, expect them to have learned from it and give Minnesota fits.
I definitely see Pettine stacking the box putting pressure on Cousins to make a decision to audible.
Sunday Noon should be a good game and the winner is at the top of the division alone already after week 2, gotta love it!
