    It's still always wild to think that Gore wasn't really ever healthy at Miami, had two major knee injuries, and came out the other side in the NFL as an ironman that played for as long as he did.

    As a Niner, Frank Gore was one of the only lights in a very dark time for the franchise. Dude is easily the most durable RB of all time and needs to be in the HOF based solely on how he managed to play 16 seasons at the most punishing position and have 1k yrds/ season over that span..it's almost superhuman to imagine any RB in this era where health science has improved play 10 yrs let alone 16

      @@bgbdms17 No it wasnt lol. He hadn’t had a 900 yard year since 3 years before his retirement, and had 3 TDs that year. Emmitt had 900 yards and 9 TDs his very last year. Emmitt also had 267 carries his last year, you gotta go back to 2014 (6 years before he retired) for the last time Frank Gore had that many. Can’t compare their durability.

    Cool to see Darren Sproles get a shoutout in this video. I remember once in his prime, an analyst said something like, "Darren Sproles is the guy nobody wants to pay until they pay a heavy price when he's not on the field for them anymore."
    Dude was SUPREMELY underrated because the dimension his ability to catch out of the backfield added was second to none.

    As a track and field kid Chris Johnson was my favorite player to watch just because of his pure running form. The way he kind of floats as he runs shows how crazy powerful and strong his legs are. Definitely not a big back but he had great balance which helped him bounce off tackles too. Miss that guy

    Darren Sproles 3 years in NOR really helps puts him over LaDainian Tomlinson in the REC category but man in his prime, no one wanted to guard LT on an angle/arrow/wheel route.

      @@deontelewis6768 eh, not really in comparison to the greats of the game, especially LT or his self.
      In 3 years with NOR he had 232 receptions, 1981 yards, and 16 TDs.
      In 6 years with PHI he had 175 receptions, 1459 yards, and only 5 TDs.
      For some reason though he got his 3 Pro Bowls the 3 season AFTER NOR, despite his stats literally being cut in half. I guess that's yet another example why only casuals think highly of Pro-Bowl appearances.

    Vision should be Priest Holmes IMHO. He had an incredible ability to read the field and utilize his blocking to maximum effect.

      10/10 in contact balance, recieving, agility, vision. Maybe raw power or absolute top speed weren't quite there but both elite. I do think LT had one of the most impressive peaks for a RB the league has ever seen

    great vid! would love to see you factor in physicality for WR position. I definitely value a big body guy who can not only work his man in passing game, but can also set the edge blocking and help turn a 5 yard outside run into a 15+ yard sideline scamper

    I know OJ is not the role model now, but man I would pay money to watch prime OJ in today's league. The guy ran 2000 yards in 14 games against old school defenses who were built to stop the run game. Now defenses built to stop the pass game.

      Ladanian Tomlinson had a better stiff arm on a 215 lb frame. His stiff arms were straight punches to the mouth. He took multiple helmets off with his stiff arms. Yeah Henry is huge at 250 lb so of course he is strong but please go watch some LT stiff-arm highlights. Nobody is better

    It comes from a wider running stance. Keeping your legs farther apart vs closer together is the deciding factor for staying up or toppling over basically.

    Great video but I’d swap out Sproles for LT since he put up better receiving numbers maybe Brett put sproles instead since he was only good at catching and not running

      No swap him for Forte. The other 2 guys were great receivers because of their unique physical abilities. But he didn't choose any of those abilities to make his perfect back, so how can you choose them for their receiving when they won't have the thing that made them good at it in the first place? I choose Forte because his pass catching was not connected to physical attributes, just route running and hands.
