Their newer album is hard to judge just Spencer because at least 3 band members have vocals in their newer stuff. Meat & Greet contained vocals from all 5 members. Spencer’s vocals are best distinguished in the first Silver Scream album as the only other vocalist, Justin, has easily distinguishable vocals. “Stabbing in the Dark” live in Worcester is a great way to showcase Spencer. (And the other members but at least you can see who is singing or screaming)
This track is really cool, as it’s the first to feature all 5 members doing vocals. They all have a unique style and sound and when they all combine their talents it sounds great.
I don't know if it is just me but the melody of the chorus sounds like Alanis Morrissette "Uninvited" and it works so incredibly well! Your reactions and analysis are such a joy to watch! Keep going, man!
And I would love if you did livestreams on here or Twitch so we can have our questions answered on the stream. I am in the beginning of learning fry, false vocals and so on and it would be great to interact with you!
Hopefully you'll do a few more of the Horrorwood album, id love to see your thoughts on the title track(Welcome To Horrorwood), as well as Funeral Derangements......annnd pretty much the rest of their catalogs (but thats my selfish wish....)
I love this band so much. Love Kardavox Academy! Always educating more and gaining more knowledge. So much fun watching every time. Thank you for being awesome, good sir. 🤘🏻
Haha, I know it's been a bit of a ghost town lately, but I'm back now! Should hopefully be a lot steadier when it comes to uploading videos now. Thanks for the kind words and for watching!
would meet Spencer's MO, he loves to cast the OG cast in on the action, if not for their specific role, for something closely tied to it. example being that for Funeral Derangements the kid who played Gage played the Truck Driver that ran him over.
so the lore is that spencer is playing himself, but he is a serial killer who leaves clues to his murders in his music videos, and he is playing a cat and mouse game with the cops who know hes a killer but cant pin anything on him
ive literally gotten my singing range up over half an octave AND learned how to add grit to singing without screaming, just from casually doing a few small things hes said here and there over the last couple years. before that i genuinely thought i was stuck with a really small range forever haha. what really helps is when he describes how it should feel in your face, it just immediately clicked. to be fair, i dont sound amazing or anything. but if you heard me 2 years ago vs now its night and day
Love that you're covering more stuff from INK. If I could give some constructive criticism though: I do notice that you tend to ramble on a bit too much in between pausing the song and it kinda feels like your spouting off random vocal info instead of talking about the song at hand. It would be cool if you could rewind back to certain lyric or whatever to give a good example of what makes this vocalist good. Kinda like what Chris Liepe does as a reference point. I think leaning into that a bit more would help people better understand how the vocalist is doing what they are doing. Also, it would keep the video a little more entertaining. Keep up the good content dude! Btw, a lot of the higher screams are from INK's bassist Joe and guitarist Ricky. All of the members do vocals, in case you didn't know.
Everyone is gonna ask you to do this nose tork song. Dont, there isnt anything special abt the vocals. Its the same tunnel highs youd hear anywhere else. The only really good part of the song is the riffs. Love INK i hope you do more of them or maybe have spencer on the channel
For some reason I cannot stand these gimmicky bands. The song structure is too Disney channel. Insert sing along chorus here, insert solo, repeat chorus blah blah blah blah
It's so painfully obvious you haven't really listened to much from Ice Nine Kills, and also probably have a very narrow range of music you actually listen to.
Man I wish I could get over my bias against INK. Spencer is clearly talented AF, but INK just seems cringey to me. They seem too “theater kid-y” to me (though I don’t have that issue with MIW, so maybe I’m just jealous of Spencer’s good looks and vocal skill IDK).
Sounds like it. I slept on them for years just due to the name of the band. But as a horror fan who goes to horror conventions all the time.. and as a fan of psychobilly music.. which is mostly horror movie themes.. INK fits right in.
The story telling and theater-y aspect of it only adds for me. Its nice for a band in this genre to actually have some thought behind the meaning of all their songs together. Even if its based on stories already written, its usually a breath of fresh air. Hearing bands in this genre talk about politics/revenge/corruption every song gets old.
Tell me you can get through "Assault & Batteries" video without laughing...that's the point. It takes me back to renting a ton of terrible B-movies and laughing my ass off with friends.

Gotta admit, all of their hooks are unforgettable...I was in almost in tears laughing at "Assault & Batteries".

13 minutes in to the video, as far I don't believe that you know that every band member laid down screams in this song! It's impressive
I think this is the first recorded track with patrick ( the drummer) screaming on the track with the rest of them.
I was waiting for him to mention the other members contributions, but he never did. 🫤
This track is really cool, as it’s the first to feature all 5 members doing vocals. They all have a unique style and sound and when they all combine their talents it sounds great.
This is the way...
I can appreciate production for dramatic effect, but to be able to do it live without huge backing tracks is gold.
I really enjoy Spencer’s high scream sounds like a sharpen Knife, fits their topic perfectly
its the bassist
a lot of it is the bassist Joe and ricky the guitarist on some dan does the low gutturals
@@IRespectHestiaI know, but he does high scream and I love it
Most of the high screams are Joe Ochiutti, the bassist, but every member of INK screams on this track, even Patrick.
We need a Kardavox collab with Charismatic Voice. Just having them both react to a song would be epic!
You're in luck! We did a co-reaction here on the channel to a song by Igorr!
Hey! Every single member of this band is screaming!
I don't know if it is just me but the melody of the chorus sounds like Alanis Morrissette "Uninvited" and it works so incredibly well! Your reactions and analysis are such a joy to watch! Keep going, man!

Silence of the lambs, is an absolute classic, i hereby invite every single person to watch it, its the perfect psychological thriller.

Well, thanks for watching!
Finally, an upload! haha I hope everything's doing well with you, Mark and your family! Let's get it!
Haha, I know it's been a bit of a ghost town lately, but I'm back now! Should hopefully be a lot steadier when it comes to uploading videos now.

Oh Mark fun fact, I'm 90% sure those two guards at the end, were the same two actors from the original movie.
would meet Spencer's MO, he loves to cast the OG cast in on the action, if not for their specific role, for something closely tied to it. example being that for Funeral Derangements the kid who played Gage played the Truck Driver that ran him over.
Actually, one of those guards, is Stephen King in a cameo.
Source? There's a resemblance, but I'm not sure that's him.@@corry13ch
Ya I’ve heard and seen it somewhere as well that the guard who’s bit is king
Yaay you're back. Nose Tork by Larcenia Roe😂
He has an amazing voice. Only he is capable of such changes.
He's great, no doubt!
Just came across your reactions today, great job! Can’t wait to check out more of your videos
YES!! I was hoping you'd make this video :) any chance checking out FIR 's Watch the world burn too?
All the videos from the last 2 albums have been telling a story.
yup, and since he got killed in the end of this one, i think he's going Supernatural for the next album.
I love how you went into fry today
Your joking???? I've wanted you to do more INK for so long
And I've been meaning to! It finally happened!
What is a joking? He has a joking?
This Is one of My top 5 INK songs
i love Horror media, so i'm a big fan of INK and what they're doing.
That makes sense!
so the lore is that spencer is playing himself, but he is a serial killer who leaves clues to his murders in his music videos, and he is playing a cat and mouse game with the cops who know hes a killer but cant pin anything on him
Man I'd love your take on the Harper/Kasey bow down cover!!!!
I'll try and check it out.

Hell yeah man, that's awesome! Keep it up!
I'm a lumberjack and I'm okay. I work All night and I sleep All day. A vocal exercise I think I will try. Didnt know that you were a lumberjack. 🤟👽
Haha!
So if you wanna hear something fun . Listen to the main chorus from this then listen to uninvited by Alanis morriset... Its the same rhythm..
ngl spencer looks more like sub zero than hannibal in the thumbs for this song lol
I dont know if its fry or what but my highs are very wet and i cant figure out how to dry them up.
Euroblast video coming soon? 👀
Hopefully, but that will be over on the Euroblast channel!
Is the 2nd time
Spencer sounds like Craig Mabbit almost identically
Absolutely not in any way shape or form.
Analyze Deviloof - Torture live version.
I'll try to check it out!
@@KardavoxAcademy You wont regret it =)

Aye a trans bracelet 🖤
You comment you might not be be within fair use (paraphrasing) while your commentary is more than a music video . That's rare within resctionnvideos
FYI, Spencer doesn't do the low screams. Both the guitarist and bassist scream on the track and live. He can scream, but they do the majority.
Hm, i'll stick to Periphery, tired of those 1000000000000 copycats. More saturation on guitar vst's please, until it sounds like an explosion.

Daniel Marsh had his own Ted Talk and people clapped. This world full of sick minded people.
