I, 3, & 5 injectors and plugs are on the firewall side. 2, 4, & 6 are on the oil cap side. Mine had a pool of oil in the intake hose. Also had a lot of oil sucked into the intake manifold. I cleaned it all out and did the PCV orifice mod. Also cleaned the throttle body. The intake put up a fight coming out due to the long bolts in the rear. It put up an even greater fight going back in. In my case I just didn't have enough clearance to replace the rear intake bolts. For those having the same problem, I highly recommend jacking the vehicle up by the front cross frame member and placing it on jack stands. Let the vehicle rest on the jack stands but keep the jack under the cross member. Remove the six cross frame bolts on the bottom ( three on each side) below the condenser. This will allow the engine to rock forward/lower. You may have to lower the jack a little but it will give extra clearance in the rear to reinsert the rear intake bolts. I also snap the same hose, Think egg shell when handling it because it will snap just that easy.

So the oil in the air intake was from a injector

Commonly there are injector wires under the power steering reservoir bracket and they rub through and ground the injector

Thanks for the video. My wife has an 08 enclave which has the exact same engine as your Acadia. Hers is idling really rough and I keep getting a code that says running to lean bank 2. I have replaced the spark plugs, catalytic converters, and O2 sensors so I am thanking about putting injectors in.

Taking the fuel cap off does not release the fuel pressure at all. You have to pull the fuel pump fuse or relay, start the car, and let it run till it shuts off. That debleats the fuel pressure.

one issue I have is a vacuum leak on 2009 Acadia. When I spray water on the bolts that hold the intake manifold, the idle changes pretty drastically so know that is part of my vacuum leak. I noticed that the grommets are missing on the bolts, could that be the issue for the leak there? I can't located where to buy these and the advanced auto guy was at a loss as well. Maybe I"m calling it the wrong name but the black sleeve that goes over the bolt. I"m replacing #4 coil and also getting P304 code for coil and also injector may be dirty. Says possible air leak on manifold or in the EGR or PCV.

you can try to put a little glob of RTV black just under the head of the intake bolts. its like a "cheap fix"

On a 2010 Acadia one of the rails goes into a grove and is a pain to take out. Putting the injectors on first will not work.

The 3.6 is very well known for #3 misfire caused by a burnt, or sticking, valves. The fuel injector is not the root cause.

@@100fredkrueger huh? Why are you replying to a year old comment?
But nothing, your needs don't have a thing to do with my comment, and are completely irrelevant to me saving time for most people who found this video looking to change injectors, by posting when the actual content titled starts.
Taking six bolts out to get the intake off isn't something anyone should need directions for anyways, let alone shouldn't take 20 minutes.
You've wasted my time by replying, just like you wasted your time throwing parts and money at your vehicle. It's most likely a vacuum leak causing your issue.
