This is one of those things that the game should at least try to explain to you through a simple tutorial at some point, the only thing the Help section tells you is "There are 3 types of damage, one works better for each type of enemy armor" but never tells you that there are different levels of effectiveness of a damage type depending on the gear equiped, nor does it tell about how to identify what armor types the enemies have aside from the vague "oh, it's a battleship, must have Heavy Armor, time to use AP". Another thing i still don't understand how they didn't implement yet is "How can i see the amount of salvos/fighters/bombers this ship have in this slot?". Yes, i know the limit break section of a ship tells me how much they're gaining with each upgrade, but with how much did they start it? I play in a phone, so whenever i want to see what loadout works best for a ship i want to use, i have to minimize the game, go to a wiki, see how their loadout is, then keep going back and forth because i have the memory and attention spam of a goldfish, can't i just have that info directly in the game? Oh, and the barrage info in game would have been awesome too, but at least we have the info numbers on the skills, so we know how much it is improving as we upgrade it... *looks at FGO* By the way, great video as always.
Usually for azur lane research. I would go for the chinese version of azur lane wiki because it contains much more detail than the english one. I think its bilibili or smthg like that
It would be nice if you could do a tierlist of relevant equipment for each armor type. Most people like me can do it by themselves, but having a video of a good explanation of each usefull thing for each type of armor would be nice.
Out of curiosity, how would you build an anti-heavy fleet with no Implac or Nano? Ark feels like dead weight with low personal damage but is mandatory to land the aimed torps, and no Nano buffs seems to hurt my attempts at something like an Ark Amagi Haku setup. I do better with Soyuz Alsace Musashi than the above even against heavy (with Soyuz hard carrying the overall damage numbers), and feel like I must be doing something wrong to see so little success with carriers despite my best efforts using best gear and syncing timings. (Specifically thinking about the current META here, my fleet techs are too low to consider one shots yet as I'm only about 1.5 years in, but I can't even earn 75 instead of 73 on assists with my CV fleets while BB easily passes 1.2M.)

Can you trust the in game tip " AP ammo is good against heavy armor " ?

I don't even know how to determine which boss with what kinda armor. Is there a way to find out in game or I've to wiki.
