We have a 1947 Oliver 90 that was purchased new by my great grandfather. My dad has been restoring it the last couple of years. It spent most of this life pulling a sawmill with its pto wheel. She is a beast at 7700 pounds. Its what Oliver called a mixed fuel engine. You start in on diesel and once it reaches temp you turn it over to kerosene. Oliver gas or diesel trucks both have a specific sound that is for sure. Even the rearends make a unique sound to Oliver. Love watching this build.
That’s awesome! Those 90’s are pretty machines! Thanks for watching along!
Rebuilding 1600 diesel going through same learning process
That’s awesome! Always love the style of those! Good luck with your build, some days are better than others but the end results is what matters!
We had won in india on my grandfather's farm it was a petrol model
That’s awesome! Neat to see how far these Oliver’s went. Thanks for watching!
Get a couple guys that rip cigs and you’ll get shit done.
That’s right!
Why not paint it while it's apart?
Trying to put an engine together after paint is never a good idea. Especially with a complete rebuild. To much oils, diesel fuel, etc plus it’ll be painted with acrylic enamel, it’ll lay thick and cover it all. Now the panels, gas tank, pedals and other smaller parts are pulled off and will be painted separately.
We need to still get together im just having trouble finding time
For sure! Oliver should be wrapped pretty soon
