Thanks so much for playing! Amazing to see it beaten on keyboard only, and so much fun to hear your thoughts on it. After a certain amount of testing you kind of just lose perspective on if the idea is actually fun and if the map makes any sense to others, so I'm so happy you enjoyed it 😄And I'm glad you took notice of things like the extra pillars coming out of the floor during the archvile phase of the final fight - that's exactly why they're there, because fighting them in such an open space was otherwise just very frustrating. Plus I really wanted to match the even higher intensity of the song.
Like you said, I'd love to see others do the same or/and expand on it! A community project where composers actually create the MIDIs with this concept in mind would allow for so many possibilities.

Glad you enjoyed the vid Vytaan! It's a great concept and you definitely did it justice with this map. I know it would be a lot of work, but if you lead a community project I'm sure lots of other mappers want to get involved :) also thanks for the well wishes, I'm already mostly recovered now! Luckily it didn't hit me too bad.

I believe Cammy's Chicago Typography was used in the old release of AV's Map25: Valley of Echoes, such an underrated MIDI and great he decided to pick it to give it more exposure!
