Thanks so much for the demo. You always make it look easy and perfect! I live in the high desert, so it's alway arid. I moved here a few years ago, and noticed quickly that my hair felt like straw. I figured out that it was glycerin. I can't use products any time of the year that contain glycerin or hyaluronic acid. Film forming humectants are my friends.
I never thought to deep condition after shampoo. I always regular condition first, but lately despite having protein and the dew point dropping, I have seemed over moisturized. I have the Mielle Rosemary Mint. I will try this on Sunday. Also been playing with the top down method and when I take my time, I love the results. When I rush it’s a disaster!
It’s SO easy to over-moisturize fine hair! Anytime I use a DC or masque, I either pre-poo with it or use it in place of a regular conditioner unless my hair feels SUPER thirsty. In that case, I’ll detangle only with the regular conditioner and then rinse it out and apply the masque.
Great video! Another great chemical exfoliant is salicylic acid which you can find in many dandruff shampoos. I've had horrible scalp acne for years and T-sal shampoo has cleared it up almost completely. Good tip on the glycerin as well; check the dew point before deciding on your styling products on wash day!
I’ve been using the As I Am Olive and Tea Tree Oil Shampoo. It’s tingly and cleansing but very creamy and rich and leaves my hair really soft and smooth. And a silicone scrubber is a must! Also, I stay away from too much glycerin in general, because, one less thing. But in the leave-in step, does it matter much? Beautiful results!
@@TheFitCurls All the reviews on their site make it sound like a miracle 😆 they also make a scalp massage oil that contains a little salicylic acid. I’m trying that for sure!
Haha yuuup, mixed textures are hard to “define” within the typing system. It’s why I don’t really rely on that form of curl typing! I focus on texture (fine-coarse) and porosity (low-high) instead :)
U should try Not Your Mothers Plump For Joy thickening hair treatment. I just found it and am in love it really makes my hair feel thicker and gives me volume. It’s a styling product. U might like it I got it from Ulta.
Great suggestion! So far I’m honestly loving my current volume - yay for healthy hair! - but this is a great product solution for fine-haired humans! xx

Did you say "silicone heavy serum"?
Yes ma’am I did! For my high-porosity curls I love silicones :)
