You forgot to mention golf. Michigan has more golf courses than any state except for Florida and California. You did not talk about the miles and miles of bike trails? A big pro for Michigan is water, all kinds of water. Many areas are struggling with the lack of water. Michigan does not generally have storms that destroy property. We can have a few tornadoes but other than that our storms do not often destroy houses. Did you know that Michigan had the second national park after Yellowstone? Mackinac Island. Many years later Mackinac Island became a state park with federal approval.

@11:19 "MONTH STRETCHES" ... Oh no no no! Born in Lansing, but grew up half my life here in west Tennessee (in driving distance of Texas)... And the *HUMID, UNGODLY, HOT AF* summers here make me wish I was surrounded by snow for months at a time! And it aint a one month stretch. I wish! It becomes that bad/hot by early May (what should still be spring, but nope) all the way until the middle of October. People here love Halloween for two reasons here. Yay spooky season, and then "THANK GOD, SUMMER IS OVER, FINALLY!"... The south is horrible when it comes to heat. It can be in the mid to upper 90's (with a "feels like" temp of 110 to 120 degrees) you just step outside & immediately feel gross & drip sweat!
And now?! In recent years?! Even the winters are starting to feel more like a mild spring. Which is bad for our area. Cuz then the bugs dont die off well enough before next summer. But also because spring temps equals tornados! Instead of wishing for a white Christmas, you're just hoping a tornado doesnt happen, so you can have a christmas - period!
Which is why Im looking at vids like this, wanting to move up north where I was originally born! I hate heat! Give me snow. I want to be have that "Bundle up with hot coco" season! lol

Pop is 10+ million. Utilities are pretty high relative to other states. Real estate fairly reasonable but Property taxes are brutal. Please don’t call Porcupines mountains, anyone from anywhere else w mountain or even legit foothills will think you’re a hayseed. Michigan spring kind of sucks, an extension of cloudy damp winter. Ditto winter and and I like snow and ice, just not slush and mud. Summer June and fall before mid Nov are great!
