Jess Lipinsky I know what you mean. My grandad meant the world to me. The morning of his funeral I just overwhelmingly felt compelled to speak and tell the world how much I loved him and how much my grandparents shaped my life. My immediate family was dysfunctional, but they showed me the example of true love and for that I will be forever grateful. I was keeping it together addressing the crowd, but when I turned my focus to him and to tell him publicly what he meant to me I completely lost it. Fortunately it came across as true love and the pain of loss, because everyone, and I mean everyone except the preacher and possibly the photographer were crying. I love you and will always miss you grandma and grandad ❤️

My husband buried his youngest son years ago. My sister buried 2 adult children. My brother lost his youngest daughter 8 weeks ago. We lost my son to brain cancer 4 years ago. He was only 34. This was a song he loved and I can’t imagine how this beautiful boy managed to sing this while in such pain, but what a wonderful tribute to his brother. God Bless you and God Bless your brother.

I lost my brother two weeks ago tomorrow. I still can't believe he's gone. We spent the last year of his life knowing that he had terminal cancer but there was that little bit of hope for a miracle. He was my protector,.my support, my friend and always was there when I had really awful things happen to me. I sat with him, holding his hand and told him that it was my turn to support and protect him. I told him that I would hold his hand during the last hours of his life. He didn't want anyone to be there, and "just wanted to go in his sleep". I let him know that I would never let him go through this alone. He squeezed my hand. Two hours later, my brother took his last breath and I felt his pulse fade. I sat with him for a few minutes and told him that he passed peacefully. And that I love him.

I was 11 when my brother passed away, he was only 15. It'll be 11 years in a couple of days and I'm an absolute mess hearing this. I think it's something I needed to hear though. Not a day goes by that I don't miss him and think of him. This was so beautifully done
My brother committed suicide at Christmas 2004. We held his funeral Mass in my mother's nursing home so she could attend. She had ALS and was completely bed ridden but could still speak. At the Offertory Mom and I sang a Christmas Lullaby together IN HARMONY (with no rehearsal). What a gift and surprise! I had no idea.... My memory of that day is a shining miracle, a true Gift from God Himself.
I had 3 brothers and 2 sisters grown up. My younger brother was killed by a drunk driver on halloween while trick or treating when he was 12 and I was 15. Four years later my older was killed by another drunk driver when he was 21. Watching my parents suffer, especially my mother was impossibly hard. No one will ever know the anger seeing your family upset unless they experience it. I hope no one does. My father died when I was 28 from cancer. Im 31 now. My family is shattered. I have no desire to have my own family in fear of losing again. I'm not sure why I typed this today but if you read it I know you understand Stay strong
Stay strong bro, don't ever be scared to raise a family, life is hard but family is one of the few things that gives your life at least some direction in who you are. in 2015 I lost my 14 year old little brother to a horrific car accident. I still remember that day when he asked to pick him up from school but I was having lunch with my girlfriens and he walked home. He shot 2 times , one time from 10 meters and hit my son in his head. They did not know each otter .... My son son was standing at the wrong place at the wrong time 😢

I remember reading for my fathers funeral. It was full of his humor and the sorts of things that he would say that would make most laugh (and it did) until the last words that meant most to me as his son... that broke me more than anything ever will. My son died at 12 years old in 1996 after he was hit by a car. He left behind three siblings who still mourn him. What a beautiful tribute this young man had for his brother. I lost a good friend of mine when I was 18, the parents cremated him in private, there was never some sort of funeral, there's no gravestone, just the memories we share at his day of death. It's very hard every time that we didn't get the chance for a proper goodbye.

I came searching for this particular song because it was one of my little sister’s favorites. She passed away suddenly 3 weeks ago after suffering from heart and lung problems that she had her whole life. She was 28. And I am lost. Don't feel guilty at all you couldn't sing at your sister's funeral. She knows you love her forever. You've been thru tremendous of people passing. I understand guilt, when my last sibling died, even though for 2 weeks he was in the hospital before he died. I think of the things I didn't say and should have. But, I did tell him he takes a part of my heart with him and he leaves a part of his heart with me so that we still live inside each other. I did get him to chuckle a couple of times, he always knew I was humourous and I wanted my last gift to give him was for him to smile and chuckle. He died 5 days before Christmas. I believe that now he is gone I have become a better person cause now I have seen myself being like him more than ever. Just be the best and try to be happy for that is all the people who loved you and you loved them want for you.

We lost my son to brain cancer 4 years ago. He was only 34. This was a song he loved and I can’t imagine how this beautiful boy managed to sing this while in such pain, but what a wonderful tribute to his brother. God Bless you and God Bless your brother.

I lost my brother two weeks ago tomorrow. I still can't believe he's gone. We spent the last year of his life knowing that he had terminal cancer but there was that little bit of hope for a miracle. He was my protector,.my support, my friend and always was there when I had really awful things happen to me. I sat with him, holding his hand and told him that it was my turn to support and protect him. I told him that I would hold his hand during the last hours of his life. He didn't want anyone to be there, and "just wanted to go in his sleep". I let him know that I would never let him go through this alone. He squeezed my hand. Two hours later, my brother took his last breath and I felt his pulse fade. I sat with him for a few minutes and told him that he passed peacefully. And that I love him.

My brother committed suicide at Christmas 2004. We held his funeral Mass in my mother's nursing home so she could attend. She had ALS and was completely bed ridden but could still speak. At the Offertory Mom and I sang a Christmas Lullaby together IN HARMONY (with no rehearsal). What a gift and surprise! I had no idea.... My memory of that day is a shining miracle, a true Gift from God Himself.

I had 3 brothers and 2 sisters grown up. My younger brother was killed by a drunk driver on halloween while trick or treating when he was 12 and I was 15. Four years later my older was killed by another drunk driver when he was 21. Watching my parents suffer, especially my mother was impossibly hard. No one will ever know the anger seeing your family upset unless they experience it. I hope no one does.
My father died when I was 28 from cancer. Im 31 now.
My family is shattered. I have no desire to have my own family in fear of losing again.

in 2015 I lost my 14 year old little brother to a horrific car accident. I still remember that day when he asked to pick him up from school but I was having lunch with my girlfriens and he walked home. I still feel very guilty to this day for being so selfish and that day my father bursted into tears hurt me very much.

He shot 2 times , one time from 10 meters and hit my son in his head. They did not know each otter .... My son son was standing at the wrong place at the wrong time 😢

I remember reading for my fathers funeral. It was full of his humor and the sorts of things that he would say that would make most laugh (and it did) until the last words that meant most to me as his son... that broke me more than anything ever will.

I lost a good friend of mine when I was 18, the parents cremated him in private, there was never some sort of funeral, there's no gravestone, just the memories we share at his day of death. It's very hard every time that we didn't get the chance for a proper goodbye.

The boys shows a tremendous amount of heart, and strength in that tough situation.
Towards the end, he was almost to breakdown, but he continued singing. It was so very touching. My deepest condolences. May his soul rest in peace. May his family be strong.
It's incredible how he was able to keep himself together in his brother's funeral. I can't even say a single word in my dad's funeral a month ago.

I don’t know this young man or his family but could totally feel his.pain as I too had tears in my eyes listening to him sing. I’m pretty sure his strength to perform this song was from his pure heartfelt love for his brother. Well done!

I lost my brother 10 years ago, this made me sob like a baby, I miss him every day. What this young boy did took huge courage and deeply showed his love for his departed elder brother. God bless you young man and RIP to your brother, he would be so proud of you.
I came searching for this particular song because it was one of my little sister’s favorites. She passed away suddenly 3 weeks ago after suffering from heart and lung problems that she had her whole life. She was 28. And I am lost. I’ve lost far too many people and I feel I’m at my breaking point.
He has such a beautiful voice, and I’m so glad that I am able to listen to him sing it to his brother.. I’m so sorry he and his family had to go through the pain and grief of losing his older brother. I too, am a singer, and have ended up singing at far too many of my family and friend’s funerals, and even my fiancé’s funeral. And somehow I was able to sing in front of a crowd of 800 people.. I still don’t know how I held back the tears. I’ve never been the same since.
Yet 2 weeks ago, I couldn’t manage to muster up the courage to sing for my baby sister. I feel extremely guilty for that. I pray your family is healing from the rift of such a terrible loss.. thank you for the little ray of light this beautiful song has been to me and so many others.✨
Don't feel guilty at all you couldn't sing at your sister's funeral. She knows you love her forever. You've been thru tremendous of people passing. I understand guilt, when my last sibling died, even though for 2 weeks he was in the hospital before he died. I think of the things I didn't say and should have. But, I did tell him he takes a part of my heart with him and he leaves a part of his heart with me so that we still live inside each other. I did get him to chuckle a couple of times, he always knew I was humourous and I wanted my last gift to give him was for him to smile and chuckle. He died 5 days before Christmas. I believe that now he is gone I have become a better person cause now I have seen myself being like him more than ever. Just be the best and try to be happy for that is all the people who loved you and you loved them want for you.
