If you set up all 5 colors at the points of a pentagram facing inward blasting a summoning chant at full volume you will open a portal to the netherworld and summon a spirit.

@@tsartomato they honestly don’t really collect dust, I’ve had a google home mini since they came out and dust kinda stays off of it, probably because it vibrates when used.
@@yashptel Thank you. I have a few Minis and an old regular Home one but I'm latino (hence I have an accent) and when something is playing and circumstances are not perfect it gets definitely harder to trigger the assistant. When no music is happening, it works like a charm. So if that got improved, it would be a really compelling argument to upgrade even though I like the design of the old one more. The Apple Homepod mics work way better in that regard, in my experience. I would really like to see if there was an improvement.
Does the Mic mute switch actually disconnect the microphone or does it just tell the software to stop listening? This is important because if the switch disconnect the power / data connection to the microphone then it can’t be turned on, even if the device is infected with spyware. IOT Devices don’t exactly have a good reputation for security.
When google first released the idea of Google homes, the mic switch was first a button. With large feedback they turned that into a dedicated switch that physically disconnects the microphone from communicating with any other hardware module. Hope this helps
this is the funniest style unboxing i’ve seen in a while. it’s so much more human like than all of these people giving you the same exact information over and over again. Thank you for that.
I like that speakers are getting the L&R STEREO feature. This is something that a system for the home has had for a while and now we have it again. I love marketing, I truly do.

Would love a new Chromecast audio dongle so I could just have google play through my awesome home stereo. Oh wait. Then they wouldn't sell as many speakers...
I got a pair of these a few days ago. Sound quality is slightly better than one Sonos One, but they have more of an "annoying little Bluetooth speaker with the Bass turned up too loud" sound. If you're gonna spend $200 on speakers you can get way better sound with "proper" speakers, but the whole Googly-homely-ness of these is super convenient. I've started just using these for podcasts and phone calls, and (very conveniently, with voice) switching over to the Chromecast powered living room setup (with big KRKs) when listening to music.
"It sounds like James is actually there" Oh my gosh, I wasn't paying a lot of attention and had another window open... I thought James WAS in the video...
Interested to see how this compares to the new homepod mini... I know I'll be getting one of these regardless. Was going to pick up a nest mini but this is much better for the price Side note, Riley is a beautiful hunk of Human
I'd love to see a setup with two of these as a stereo pair and a google home max as the center bass driver. That just sounds awesome. Possibly put some google home mini's in the corner of the room to give it a bit more of a crisp and clean sound.
Can I use the stereo setup as a stereo bluetooth speaker as well? (for example with a device which doesn't have the Google home app) Single speaker works fine as blueooth speaker
Honestly, the sound may be better, but one main thing is missing compared to the original google home, is the light circle, I hate the 4 little dots, you can't use swiping controls or summon the assistant without voice, and to top it all off, the volume has to be changed by tapping for each level, unlike the light circle

I really don't get smart-speakers and voice assistents, what do u use them for that u can't just use your smartphone and fingers for? Maybe it's because I'm from Belgium and most speakers only understand english well enough and we don't have our own amazon? Also Google hates Belgium so we don't get their products so maybe that's why people here don't use them (or not alot of them)?

Shh. He’s a minimalist now.
The colors are what you have to throw in a fire to summon the spirits.
Damn
I read your comment before I saw the video, first I was confused but then it totally made sense.

They need to cut the bottom of the box as well to let the air out. Otherwise you'll get a vaccum seal when trying to get the other box out.

What a solid Riley joke.
i agree
"But who's going to fix the wobbly table?!" -Me, watching every ShortCircuit.

The wobbly table is a supporting character in this anime

He has actually in the Intel sponsored video in their main channel in LTT

Riley being a minimalist is probably the second greatest add-on to the LMG Cinematic Universe after Brian The Electrician.
I don't mind watching Riley dance to Crab Rave for 3 minutes
Plot twist
The switch for muting the mic is just for the speaker to stop responding to "ok Google or hey Google" but it still listening

It actually disconnects the microphone. Echo devices do it in software

Riley is probably my favorite addition to Linus media group in a long time. Keep it up Riley, love the energy bro.
