Protip: the box gets stuck in the cardboard box mostly due to suction, so if you cut the tape in the middle of the flipped side you can usually break it enough to slide the box out smoothly :P
I think LMG employees are contracturally obligated to drop things once theyre allowed to appear on camera. Even Agent Janice dropped truth bombs on the companies :)

Just to clarify @2:03 , Boeing aircraft uses yokes because traditionally they used the 'fly by cable' system whereby when a pilot did something , it literally pulled cables to help perform the action , it is outdated technology but it works, an exception is made to the Boeing 777 and 787. Airbus on the other hand uses fly by wire whereby the actions of the pilot is done through servos at the different components of the aircraft instead of cables (this is what the Boeing 777 and 787 use ) It's newer tech and is better
I want someone who actually knows how to play the game, come in LMG office, play the game on this setup and show a good gameplay; like show it is actually played.
You don't 'play' flight simulators, you 'fly' them. It's also not a 'joystick', it's a 'flightstick'. This seems to be a pretty big differences that get you screeched at in the relevant subreddits and Discord servers ^^. I also suspect flight simmers wouldn't fare much better. The combination of the moving chair and the chosen HOTAS being of the kind that is really light and easy to move means that you jostle the stick around easily, which happens in the video actually and lead to those over-stressing 'deaths'. The T.16000 is good as an entry point and for casual space sims, though.
I actually think itd be more fun to make them do it for real first, then go back to the sim, then when they can do the sim, go back to the real thing. Genuine test of sims ability to be realistic.
Imagine your airline pilot coming over the intercom with the exact same inflection @5:12 *nose dive, *people screaming *crackle: "Yeah, we're, we're done..."

As someone who knows how to fly an actual small airplane, I love watching all these people on UA-cam trying to figure out how to fly a plane, I love aviation content!
Jake is hitting the trim wheel on the throttle, its very easy to bump and register an input. It has a fixed range of motion and if you bump it and it's near full nose up or full nose down, it'll set the pitch all the way there and dive hard or nose up real hard. Best practice is to set it to takeoff before actually taking off, like you would IRL and that won't happen.
The T.16000M HOTAS system is definitely the best you can get in this price category. Of course there are better and more expensive HOTAS and yoke systems out there but the T.16000M is a bang for the buck!
T.1600M is great if you like buttons which will break after a few presses. They are NOTORIOUS for having buttons stop working while the joystick is still relatively new. If you're actually going to program and USE the buttons, try another brand. Personally, I swear by Logitech Extreme 3D Pro sticks. I have several of them, most bought from thrift stores or flea markets. They all cleaned up and calibrated perfectly. If you don't slam them around, they last for years. And, they are THE most ergonomic stick out there, which your hand will love after hours of flying. They're also about the cheapest stick you can buy, so no worries if you DO have to occasionally replace one. I have about 12 different sticks and two HOTASes. What's on my desk for everyday use...the 3D Pro.

If you pop a hole on the opposite side of the box opening, tight-fitting inner containers will come out easier as you are basically working against a vacuum. Try it, it'll work great!

Aside from stressing the airframe, the big mistake everyone was making was stalling by pulling up too early with too little speed, that's why you quickly turn and drop.
For what it's worth, lots of planes beside just Airbuses use a flight stick instead of a yoke. Airbus planes use sidesticks, and military or sport aircraft generally use centre sticks. General Aviation and Boeing planes generally use a yoke. If you care about authenticity get whichever control scheme the planes you like to fly use. If not, control sticks are generally easier to find.
I think that only having the chair move is a big issue for some of the maneuvers. It moves you in relation to the pedals, as well as your view of the screen. If this was set up with VR with the rig and VR talking to each other to account for you moving because the chair moved, and if the pedals were hooked up to the chair, it would work much better. Having the screens attached to the chair might be too much for the rig.

Looks like that slider that Jake was unsure about was the trim. It was probably set all the way back (trying to lift the nose too much) which is why y’all were having such a hard time controlling the planes and over stressing the airframe. Also, try figuring out a way to mount the rudder pedals to the chair itself so (hint, hint Alex) so that they’re not moving relative to the chair as it moves. 👍🏼 thanks for the fun vid!
so generally you use pitch to adjust speed and you use thrust to adjust altitude. Its counter intuitive unless you understand how the aerodynamics of the wings work

Hey, student pilot here. Colton it looks like you were pulling up too early, stalling, and going into a spin. In a tail wheel plane you have to lift the tail first then lift off.

It was probably set all the way back (trying to lift the nose too much) which is why y’all were having such a hard time controlling the planes and over stressing the airframe. Also, try figuring out a way to mount the rudder pedals to the chair itself so (hint, hint Alex) so that they’re not moving relative to the chair as it moves. 👍🏼 thanks for the fun vid!
They never raised the flaps... That's why it kept nosing up all the time, and the aircraft was impossible to control.

so generally you use pitch to adjust speed and you use thrust to adjust altitude. Its counter intuitive unless you understand how the aerodynamics of the wings work

This is super cool in the moving chair! Maybe see if you can attach the rudder pedals to the chair? That way when the chair moves it doesn't pull your feet away from the pedals!
The wheel near your left pinkie controls the elevator trim. If it isn't set right, or you bump it the AC becomes quite difficult to control FYI.
