A same year kia sorento with the 2.4 engine alternator will fit with a hire amp output that puts less strain on the charging system or ecu. It's definitely $20 more well spent.
Out of my 3 cars (98 Saturn SL2, 98 Civic LX) my 2009 Sonata 3.3L is the biggest PITA to work on. This alternator is hard to remove and is in a terrible spot... If your head gasket happens to leak, it will run right down onto your alternator. Without the convenience of an engine hoist, I'd recommend removing all the radiator equipment first before trying to shimmy the alternator out. It will still be incredibly hard (took me an hour of twisting and turning it to find a position where it could slide out). Helps to have an extra person under while you pull/adjust from the top and maybe some cardboard where the radiator was to avoid tearing up the surrounding pieces
It’s easy to remove the bottom bolt of the alternator when the engine is out, but how do you remove that bottom bolt with the engine in place. The bolt runs into the wall of the fender and there’s no room
Urs isnt inside the hood thats our issue the bolt is so long it cant be pulled all the way out to then get the alternator off the hooky things theyre attached to.
Seriously? This doesn't show any of the challenges that you go through if the engine is still in the car. You can't use an impact wrench to take the bolts off. Getting the belt off and on is a big pain in the ass when there is a wall right next to it. If it was this easy we wouldn't need a video.
These guys are crooks. “To save you money”….they take the engine out because you can’t get the alternator out otherwise. Nothing but a bunch of crooks.

How do u change the alternator mount bracket

I was able to pull mine out but putting the alternator back in on the latch is the problem 🤦🏽♀️

I got a stuck altenator, everything unscrewed out and it wiggles back and forth or down and up but just won’t come out

U do not need to remove the whole belt at all it makes it easier not to just belt off alt
