amazing how fast the elise closed the gaps in the corners. I'd bet the elise has a better lap time. It just kept getting held up by the big fat porsche in the corners and didn't have the grunt in the straits.
that gt3 had some impressive straightline speed... after you passed him he came outta nowhere to pass you back on the straightaway. Very nice ride though... i wish i could see a pic of your ride from the outside =D
He looks like he's got about 0.5-1.0 seconds on you by the end of the main straight, and it's all gone by turn 3. rofl. amazing car man, nice driving :D
I bet the GT3 driver thought he was getting away every time he hit the straight. K20 in an Elise is an awesome idea. Put some individual throttle bodies on that thing and you'll never have to screw with it again.
Lotus was pushing the Porsche in the coners and then Lotus past him at the first opportunity , but then on the straight Porsche flew past Lotus like hi was stand still and that means Lotus had no chance , still Lotus guy put loads of pressure on Porsche and hold the fight pretty well!!!! Respect to Lotus driver and thanks to Porsche guy too for entertaining !!!
Yeah however the K-series is a Rover engine designe for the MG. Most advanced version found in the MG TF160 (like mine:) and the Lotus Elise 159. Yes it is a hell of an engine!
@ohnoes300c He do try to overtake overtake a lot of times, but the porsche is just faster on the straights and yes you can see how the porsche driver always goes wider through the corners, but it's just not enough. You can't take some random line into every corner to overtake, because then you will loose a hell of a lot of time and then you will never be able to overtake.
Great drive, got to love the elise Honda. What I will say though is if that was a track day those guys should have more respect for others. Don't know the rules over there but overtaking on both sides bullying people out of the way.... not nice
A V-Tec engine ...... in an Elise ..... i seriously have to rethink my whole life to handle such an awesome combination.

Good clean fun, good driving both. Track days in Italy look a real blast. Health & Safety wouldn't stand for this in UK.
