It’s interesting to hear the students answers of why they feel that it’s important for them to learn Biblical Hebrew. You can hear they bias and schools of influence in their answers. It’s rare that we research subjects out before we drive in to them. Hebrews is a great start when studying the text of scriptures for understanding. It gives us a reference point for translation and looking deep into the different schools of Hebrew.

French sound for R is a roll in the throat. Is this the same for Resh? It can be hard for English speakers to pronounce, but would make sense as a guttural.
In classical pronunciation it's pronounced as a tap, like the Spanish R or the (American) English T in Peter. In modern pronunciation, it's pronounced similarly to the French R.
I don't remember what song it's based on, but the woman and her husband took a song that already existed, and overlaid the Hebrew alphabet onto it Very similar to English ABCs being to the tune of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
Bris is not the modern Hebrew pronunciation. It is the traditional Ashkenazi pronunciation. The modern Hebrew pronunciation is "brit", but many Hebrew words are pronounced with the "s" sound for the last letter thav, because of Yiddish influence.
The half letter vowels are from 1:06:23 onwards. So that means that the full letter vowels are those vowels before this slide. The previous slide, the last letter 'beret' is also a half vowel. 😀😃😄
Alef is said to be guttural because originally it is supposed to be pronounced as guttural stop and not as a silent consonant. The 'ayin had originally not a silent sound, but some kind of guttural friction, such the Arabic counterpart, also called 'ayin is pronounced, which is also absolutely not silent. The Yemenite Jews pronounce it the same way the Arabic speakers do nowadays.
