Hi, would it be possible to code in a new TMS sensor for the headlights on the F10 2012, with this? Common problem is condensation inside causing errors. Need to replace the TMS sensor or possibly the whole unit, will this allow me to code the replacement parts? Thanks again, nice video!
My car only has a language option for German and Dutch can I use this to reprogram the I drive software to a newer updated version as mine is somehow unprogrammed and doesn't have any other language options (bimmercode)
@Andrew Bates - first of all congrats on the m5.. enjoy the car. When you hook up bimmercode code do you have bdc or fem modules, do you see mirror section if so enable them and you have to have power folding mirrors. Or do you mean mirror tilt on passenger side?
@@SheziMotorsport interestingly enough, I just found out, while reading bimmer blogs, that I have to hold the center button to lock the doors and get the rearview mirrors to tilt up. Now regarding the passenger mirror tilting down when I put the car in reverse… How does the car no to do that or what if I want the driver side window to tilt down?
@andrew bates - the mirror switch have to be on the driver side position and than passenger side mirror will tilt when car in reverse. I believe with coding you can make it tilt like 87° or something and you can also make them dark so at night so car behind you doesn't bother with it's headlights.

@kavindu imesh- I would recommend to put car on trickle charge or run the car to ensure battery doesn’t die. If you are going to run the car, then start it and then plug and connect the device.
@nicolas Zaroyan - technical answer is yes but dealer has to prove it that coding cause an issue. Whenever you code follow best practices so those issues don't arise or nothing is broken.

@korey Price - if you are on iOS yes you need both, for Google Android you only need bimmercode as bimmerlink doesn't exist. So if u are on iOS get both apps. Bimmerlink app will help clear any errors.
You dont need to buy both apps, buy just BimmerCode. I had problem with ios13 on iphone x, i got that Connecting Error with V Gate Wifi Obd. Then i tried with iphone 7 and ios 12.3.1 and works fine. Once you bought BimmerCode app, just login in App store with your account in other phones with ios 12 and download it. You also need to Renew your license to full version in Settings. Works fine. Hi, i tried to code few things today and for example my lights are brighter bud my mirrors are still not folding after locking and auto stop is still turned on after i start up the car, do you know whst can be the reason? Also can this messed up my traction controls cause noticed worning while codin, thanks.
@branko knezevic - what year is ur car, I believe in 2014 is where BMW software was updated so auto start on/off would stick.. go to bimmercode app --> fem ( front electronic module) --> auto start has 3 settings make sure u assign those values properly. In same location scroll down there should be "Mirrors* set the values for convenient opening for mirror folding and unfolding. Try that and hope that's it.

Digital speed should only appear when u cycle through BC on the left stock. Go into ur iDrive and than go into settings and see for information display if all the settings are checked.

@arsen varden - with factory settings it's not possible bc you are missing the wifi cable or antenna that it will require. Or did you already install the wifi cable behind your headunit.
@arsen varden - I could be wrong but iPhone doesn't support screen mirroring like Android. Let me look in expert mode to see what codes are there bc with esys yes you can enable once the wifi cable had been installed which is used as screen mirroring..

Pedal shifters definitely need to be coded otherwise it won't work. But WiFi cable will need to be coded by esys module. I haven't seen the code in bimmercode for that.

I just tested my vgate2 WiFi and I can connect to my car and get into coding options. What I don't know if the app developer will stop just supporting old ones or will they stop working as well overtime.
@ron Miller - you don't need to code those, if they are oem tpms they will Auto readjust. Have you tried to reset tpms from iDrive? Maybe u can use bimmerlink if you are using iOS.
@asimKR - only if your car is 2014+ I believe. If you go into front electronic module --> Auto start stop function switch - off, make sure that is set to active.

I have a 530I 06 BMW my brake switch went out I replaced it and it still won't go out of gear my transmission is Saint transmission faulty to Drive Moline is there anybody out there then tell me the code to get that transmission signal to go out of park and Kansas City
For Android it cost around $35 and there is only one app to buy bimmercode. For Apple iOS there are two, bimmercode which I believe is $26 and bimmerlink which is around $26. Once you buy the pro all functions are unlocked for coding. There is no extra charge per function.
@zain Ali - what do you mean? Are you saying you have different options over you load up bimmercode app. That's possible as every car comes loaded with different options.
I replaced my head unit because the old one went out. When I plug the app in I do not have a selection for a head unit available is there something I am missing?
@kevin Cole - I would not suggest the dealer route. I would imagine the new head unit has to be registered to th car or some to get it enabled.. have u looked into that coding?

I don't see what you see in bimmercode conected with enet cable with the phone to car.Should I buy another obd2 adaptor?
@alex razvan - what are you trying to do? If you are doing bimmercode I would use adapter and not enet cable.. I use ennet for fsc or esys.

With bimmerlink for iOS you should be able to. With Android app you can't.

It should work on any f10 starting 2011.
the app is designed for bmw cars 2010 and up all f series cars also e series 2010 and up it shows in the app as well

For Android it cost around $35 and there is only one app to buy bimmercode. For Apple iOS there are two, bimmercode which I believe is $26 and bimmerlink which is around $26. Once you buy the pro all functions are unlocked for coding. There is no extra charge per function.

Yes it will. This can done on F10… 2011-2016 5 series. And other newer models. All the coding options depends on the car you have.

@zain Ali - what do you mean? Are you saying you have different options over you load up bimmercode app. That's possible as every car comes loaded with different options.

I replaced my head unit because the old one went out. When I plug the app in I do not have a selection for a head unit available is there something I am missing?

@kevin Cole - I would not suggest the dealer route. I would imagine the new head unit has to be registered to th car or some to get it enabled.. have u looked into that coding?
