Nice video! Lots of food selections and crazy to see Michelin restaurants in a new mall. Definitely gotta check that mall out soon. Thanks for sharing and cool to see Anthony and Caroline on your channel
If you go to the B1 level, there are so many sit down restaurants as well. One Bangkok is definitely a place to visit, if you want a variety of food choices.
That is not Nam Jim Jaew, but it is Nam Jim made for Khao mun Kai. There are different versions of this Nam jim, mostly it will have ginger, chili and salty fermented soy bean as main ingredients.
Kao ka Moo is the Thai throw on Cantonese Braised Pork Leg, which is traditionally eaten with Munto Bread. It is also very much heavier than the Thai version. My mother made the Cantonese version often during my younger days 'coz my father grew up on it due to his Cantonese background (2nd Gen. from China to Thailand). Yes!!! I prefer the pork knuckles alot more. BON APPETIT!!!
Yes, Chinese Thai food is mostly from Teochew, which is part of Guangdong province. But the difference is the sauce (vinegar chilli) because Thai people love spice Also the gravy is sweeter in Thailand

@@grifsfoodandtravel thank you for your response, could you narrow that down a little bit, I bought some T-shirts a couple days ago from there, 3rd floor flea-market area, haven’t seen yours through
@@hardrock55 It was on the 3rd floor, but it has been so long ago I can't seem to remember the stall. All I can say is that it was on the outer side and no in the middle area, if that makes sense. Sorry I can't be better help.
Nam jim jaeo is for Isaan food only, grilled chicken,Kor moo yang... If you eat Hainanese chicken rice, Kao man kai ,the sauce is made from soy bean....😮😊😊 please don't forget. Where's the supermarket??❤🎉😊
Hello guys, Nam Jim Jaew sauce that is eaten with chicken rice. It's a sauce that comes from the northeastern region of Thailand. Eat it with Kor Mu Yang (grilled pork neck) very delicious.
Thanks so much for your comment. I have other viewers telling me the sauce is Nam Jim Kao Man Gai, which is for chicken rice, and it is not Nam Jim Jaew. So I can't tell you specifically which sauce it is. I guess I'll have to go back there someday and ask them. But whatever sauce it was, it was yummy. 😋
Not "Nam Jim Jaew" tho, it's "Nam Jim Kao Man Gai". Nam Jim Jaew = fish sauce +tamarind juice+ chili flakes + lime + Roasted uncooked rice + sugar + coriander Nam Jim Kao Man Gai = black soy sauce + fresh chilis + ginger + vinegar/lime + soy bean paste + garlic
You are totally correct. How did you notice that? I didn't know there was a sauce specific for chicken rice called nam jim kao man gai. Thanks so much for pointing that out.
