How do you wire the down switch to where you don’t have to hold it down the whole time

you need garage door sensors (eyes) mounted close to the ground and wired into the garage door opener for that

I left a piece of plastic pipe in the path of the door, which stopped and jammed the door. I removed the obstruction, but now, my push buttons do nothing. The door doesn't work. I have 2 doors, and the other one works fine. There was no issue prior to this. Please help! Thank you!
