This should be show to all people learning. You’ve taught me what college never did. I was a bit lost with it all but this has completely made me realise where I wasn’t grasping it. I appreciate it!
This is by far the best Start/Stop with holding circuit explanation on UA-cam. Nothing else comes Close!!!!
Finally some easy motor control explanations. Where has this video been! Thank you for your video.
This is awesome. Far and away the best teacher I've had in my life when it comes to electrical. Big thank you.
By far one of the best instructors on UA-cam right now coming from a Utah Journeyman
What a great and easy to understand tutorial on the start stop and hold circuits. Even the old Allen-Bradley mechanical contactors from the 50's are still wired the same way. I'm saving this link for next time I have to train another maintenance helper!!!
Great videos! Clear and easy to understand. Thank you for taking the time, they are very helpful.
thank you very much from 2nd year apprentice in Vancouver Canada
What a great video, I learnt more than what I studied along the university by whatching it once.
Thank you Walter, you're a gentleman and a scholar!
Great videos! Easy to understand and visualize what you are teaching. I landed a job as an industrial mechanic and this was exactly what I needed to truly understand 3 wire start and stop.
The way you made everything transparent is amazing lol omg greatful. Please don’t stop
Thanks Access Electric for sharing the idea in your most easy way.
Perfect! Thanks. I'm preparing to take my Canadian Red Seal exam and your video helped me a lot! Thank you one more time!
The penny finally dropped ! Thank you.. That latching circuit has had me wondering for quite a while and your video explained it perfectly :)
Great explanation. Please post more content on the start/stop with holding contacts and also on how to wire up a motor starter.
Great video thanks for taking the time out to help others master the skills of a 3 wire start stop circuit!
Thank you , after watching a few time I finally able to understand the flow or On & Off Button. thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Thank you for taking the time, this is extremely helpful.
Thanks Walter. All the information you give in this video is very useful. The way you explained these concepts, makes it easy to understand. Keep going with this type of videos. Greetings from Colombia.
Thank you for this video I'm a highschool student just getting into motor controls and its confusing but this has cleared up a lot of my confusion thank you
Life changing video
Thanks for this video. Please do some more. I am getting closer to fully understand motor control circuits.
you did an awesome job explaining this! you are amazing
Incredibly helpful! I absolutely like the real time explanation of every wire as you talked about them. DO NOT STOP MAKING THESE VIDEOS! Lol
If you read this please make a video about forward and reverse motor controls. Single and 3 phase. I get hung up on the wiring of the forward and reverse contactors. Awesome channel!
B. Ross, Thanks for the comment and for subscribing to my channel. I have no plans of stopping. I should have a video coming out today on how to make concentric conduit bends.... Glad these are proving helpful.
This is a great video. He explains this in very good detail
Wow, another great video! Thanks so much. And using the clear plexiglas mounting is a brilliant way to show in a (literally) clear and engaging way just what is going on.
This was definitely a worthy update from the earlier video, thought it's best to watch the other one first, and then this one. My only suggestion is to add 2 indicator lights. One to represent the load being controlled, and the other to indicate POWER ON to the basic control circuit (ie, Breaker On). With these, you could start by manually closing the contractor to show that the load lights up. One additional suggestion would be to inset a close-up view of the contractor connections when you're discussing them so we can see when you have 2 wires connected to the same terminal (which is think is the case for the blue and red hot feeds for the contractor coil).
hope one day I can share my knowledge to help others just like you
Anyone to explain for me the construction and operation of a start push button
Thanks , your explanation with this plate is very good.
Very good video. Clear instruction and good visuals.
excellent! your video help me a lot to understand what is control circuit in motor. Thanks
Keep doing updates like this Walter, I have subscribed and will keep watching and supporting your channel. By far your presentations are some of the best I’ve seen on UA-cam.
Awesome video I had people explain that to me but I just did not get it your explanation was to the point thank you
GREAT VIDEOS .... THANKS TO ALL YOUR TIME AND WORK .... !!!!!!!
Very clear explanation. This gives me confidence to make sense of all the wires in my motor control panel.
Awesome videos! Thank you!
This is the best video ive seen on the topic! Nothing more to say.
Can't say enough good about these videos you are a great teacher thanks

You are so awesome thank you
Thank you for your sharing.
Amazing!.You are the best youtuber electrician teacher!.
Thank you very much for your explanation. You still need to do more by providing detailed explanation of d wiring of d contactor, overload relay, and start stop buttons.
Love this video
Finally got a useful video motor control
.. tnxs a lot
Very informative, could we see more configurations on this and cabinet wiring in general. Great stuff
Greats videos. Thank you
Thank you. This is great.

great vid. thx so much. On the ladder diagram can you label the corresponding termination point?
Super 👌
Awesome
Great job. If I could add an Estop circuit. E stop relay that would be awesome TY
Thanks
Huge fan can you do a explamation hand automatic switch wiring or a explamation
I fucked off my whole 3rd year of electrical apprenticeship n never payed attention in the LaBs on how to set this up. Now 4 years later I’m trying to pay attention because I’m on the roof and might come across this lmao
Hello..I like your informative videos. I'm not an electrician and want to know how to properly test a 3 phase contactor. For example if I do a continuity test @ A1 and A2, coil. what should be my ohms reading? Thanks
If you can do something simple motor control through PLC same setup just in plc,I'm going to school for automation soo need all of this and you do great job on all aspects...Thank you Sir.
Good job sir. 👏 can you do something on how to connect a star delta rotary switch?
Thank you for the information sir, but where is that wire coming into the auxiliary contact from? The one right next to the breaker
Great video. Do you have a link to your wiring diagram in that video?
Pls give more controlling circuit videos
Thank you very much I'm a big fan could you explain how to wire a hand off auto
Ivan Guerrero , thanks for your comments about the channel. I made a video where I went over a HOA. Here is a link to that video. ua-cam.com/video/1J36SgPABFo/v-deo.html
Great videos, thank you. The next step (question) would be adding a reverse direction circuit. Start forward, start reverse and stop. Have you done that video?
Nice 👍🏻. Very informative. What about a 240v coil on a single phase starter with a stop, start?
Hi Tracy! With a 240 volt coil you will wire the starter and the buttons exactly the same way. Line 1 of your 240 volt circuit will, wire through the buttons and to the starter the same way. The difference will be that instead of wiring the neutral wire through the Normally Closed overload relay and to the coil, you will wire Line 2 of your 240 volt circuit through the overload relay. Also remember the single pole fuse switch I show on the control power circuit would need to be a 2 pole to disconnect both legs of the control power 240 volt circuit at the same time.
This is the best explanation that I have seen on the Internet
Thank you for your comment! It’s highly appreciated.
