I offer you GENERAL STEPS for creating a PATTERN for a POWER COAT:
Measurements:
Measure your chest, waist and hips.
Measure the length from the neck to the desired end point of the short coat.
Style selection:
Decide what style of pea coat you want (straight, belted, buttoned, etc.).
Creating a pattern:
Use a basic outerwear pattern and modify it to suit your measurements and style preferences.
Add cutouts, pockets or other decorative elements if desired.
Material selection:
Choose fabric according to the season and style of the coat.
CUTTING AND SEWING:
Transfer the pattern to the fabric and cut out the pieces.
Follow the stitching instructions, starting with the main pieces and gradually adding pieces.
Fitting and correction:
Try on the short coat and make the necessary adjustments to suit your figure.
Completion:
Complete the short coat by sewing buttons, belt or other details.
Make sure all seams are neat and the details are well sewn
To increase the pattern to your size, you will need to make the appropriate changes. First of all, measure your parameters and compare them with the original pattern:
1. Chest girth (Og) - measured at the most protruding points of the chest, measure on the bra.
2. Waist circumference (From) - measured at the narrowest point of the waist.
3. The distance between the breasts is from (nipple to nipple), as in a bra. For a tight-fitting product and a good fit, this is important!
Then, use the following steps:
1.Increase all the necessary pattern details by the appropriate amount, based on your measurements:
(i.e., first of all, check the OG - chest volume, chest height, distance between the chest from (nipple to nipple), shoulder seams, side seams, chest height, distance between the chest, product length.
Check and adjust the pattern lines to ensure they match the main cutting lines and maintain proportions.
2, Pay attention to the joints of the parts and, if necessary, adjust them to fit the new (your) dimensions.
3. Before starting to work with the main fabric, it is advisable to first sew a test pattern from cheap auxiliary material to ensure that the changes made are correct.
