Beautiful! Love the fabric! I’m about to sew in the hem and sleeve end portions on a coat lining and wondering if just sewing straight across the bottom (lining to fabric) does the same thing of pulling up the hem to the correct location? Or did you also press and hand baste the hem in place?
Thank you 🙏
The lining is shorter by 2cm, which is evident when I turn the jacket inside out revealing the right side. The difference in length means the lining is not visible on the right side of the jacket. I did struggle with stitching the vent on the back, so be aware of that step.
Hmmmmmm
Very nice my dear
thank you ^.^
This is really nice. I just moved to the UK, and I stay in the eastern part of UK, getting varieties of fabrics has been a really great task. Can you suggest where I can get nice fabrics online? Thanks
I’ve done a video about this on my channel. See it here ua-cam.com/video/GJDxZRJ9YbA/v-deo.htmlsi=JstHJsqVFTStF_V8
Can you link where you got the fabric from or name the type of fabric?
I got it from Empee silks, it’s a cotton twill weave
Dear Priscilla, I love your videos, all if them. Today however, something is odd. Where is understitching ? The corners are not as crisps as it should and seewing precisely without basting stitches or exact shape without being drawn as a pattern is just no go. I wonder what would make you do it to yourself? Thus my question Are you ok? All the best ❤.
Thank you Darina for checking on me. I actually enjoyed working on this jacket without the pressure of perfection and I’m proud of how it turned out 😁
Where did you get your scissors?
The gold one was a gift from a friend. Think it was from John Lewis
