Don’t forget that under Bruce the squad were only training 3 times a week and were criminally unfit, now under Eddie we have one of the fittest teams in the league
Not just that though, he frequently wasn’t even at the training sessions himself. He’d just let his assistants do it and stayed in his house down the country
Best English manager currently and has a very bright future ahead of him. As a Bournemouth supporter, I'm jealous of Newcastle because they have a legend, but I'm pleased to see him doing so well, especially with some ex Bournemouth players in the squad
The work done at Newcastle is amazing, it's only one season but Eddie howe, the coaches and the recruitment is amazing. If they kick in they can really go for the title soon
The atmosphere at St James has been extraordinary. Even in Howe's very first game (Brentford, Nov 2021) the fans were excited, bouncing and united, after a decade of misey on and off the pitch.
Its crazy that how after Steve Bruce got sacked, almost all of them wanted Unai Emery except Yasir Al-Rumayan. He was the one insisted on him and what a right decision that was. Hopefully, this is just a start and more success to come.
What a fabulous video. I'm not a Newcastle supporter but always want the underdog to succeed. So watching this team succeed has been wonderful to watch 🙂
Ashley and Bruce were the living end. Now I can die HAPPY. it’s sad how good players think they can mange a team, so often they are disasters like Bruce. Ashley was hardly ever at a match. Hooray for Amanda, she never gave up wanting the Toon team and it’s mostly due to her that this has come to fruition. I always thought highly of Eddie and now he’s adored by the fans and the team as a whole.
We are not great again, we are on an adventure that hopefully will lead to silverware and glory these are the very early stages of this adventure, we are still laying the foundations, at almost 68 I get to say this, being a son of Tyneside, a boy from Scotswood Road, who was 4 weeks old when we last won a domestic trophy and 14 when the miracle of the Fairs Cup happened. The early 50's when won the cup 3 times in 5 years, were our most successful years, 1927 was last time we won the league, the fans have been let down and betrayed by a series of poor owners who took the fans for granted, Ashley being the worst as he hung around for 14 years. The revolution which has occurred since 21 October 2021 is truly remarkable, I now believe it's when not if we lift our first trophy, as the cliche goes the first one is always the hardest... this is truly a magical and fantastic time to be a toon supporter especially for the young uns but more so those of a certain vintage who have suffered relegations, hope being removed, ambition cancelled and a feeling of complete helplessness and disenfranchisement from our beloved club. TOON TOON Eddie Howes, Black ⚫ n White Army. PS we are not in the final of the Carabo Cup, We are 1 nil up after the first leg of the semi final with the 2nd leg at St James on Tuesday, fingers crossed
Thank you so much for your story. Of course it is early days but I have no doubt that Newcastle United are the next big thing. The future is certainly bright for Newcastle and we are only at the beginning! ⚫️⚪️
The most amazing thing Eddie did was increasing the fitness levels in all areas of the club. Players who were viewed as average suddenly (in a manner of speaking) became world class. Sides who thought Newcastle were a potential easy 3 points suddenly found themselves under an onslaught for the entire 90 minutes. Several very wise incoming transfers and you had a side most premier sides suddenly dreaded playing away to Newcastle, never mind at home to them.
Great video - we are nor in the Carabo Cup Final yet but hopefully we will be by tomorrow evening. The Spurs game with Bruce in charge was the first of the new ownership. Think we will challenge for the title next season...or maybe this one if all goes well
Not only the mens but the woman’s is soaring too. You can see the love the owners have and the city can feel it. It really is nice to see. Amanda is a Diamond 💎 Eddie was an amazing choice, just shows they seen what they had
I didnt see people whinging about human rights issues when the saudis put money into Man united or the fact that Abramovich had links to the russian mafia. Two faced bollox is what it was.
You talk about the January spend. But Bruno was just slowly integrated making mainly sub appearances. Wood hardly played. It was Burn, Target, and Trippier which at the time only cost 25 million for the three.
You’ve been a bit defensive here, he literally just stated a fact, we spent a lot compared to our previous seasons but in the grand scheme of things, Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool etc. have all spent near a billion yet Newcastle are already there. He clearly points this out in the video… I mean it’s not like Trippier, Botman, Bruno, Pope etc. arrived for free lol
@@XXXTENTAClON227 I am just sick of pundits and UA-camrs stating that Newcastle spent their way out of trouble and that it was money alone that saved them and got them to where they are. @@XXXTENTAClON227 Newcastle were starved of investment by Mike Ashley we were still using a squad of championship players and Bruce was not good enough to get the most from them. We were shipping so many goals and players were knackered by 60 minutes because they were not getting proper training. Player fitness has absolutely helped. While Trippier and Burn were not free they were extremely cheap compared to what could have been spent. It's not about the money that was spent but getting the right players. 13 million for Trippier and 12 million for Burn could have been spent under the previous owner it's not like they were some crazy amount the club could not afford until the new owners came in. However the policy that was in place by Ashley preventing the signing of anyone over 27 prevented this

Not sure about you being title challengers next season. Tifo raised the point that you’ve gotten close to FFP spend limits and you’ll have Champion’s League football. The team is tight knit but Eddie Howe now has the challenge of maintaining that closeness whilst bringing in talent over the next few seasons. Definitely doable but will take time. Definitely on the up and you’ve made the Premier League far better for it, but the next set of challenges are a tough climb. Liverpool have absolutely petered out just trying to stick with Man City and I suspect Arsenal’s ascent might hit a stumbling block next season for the same reasons. Good thing with Newcastle is that you’ll have consistent, large investment unlike those teams.
Hi, just for clarity this isn’t a Newcastle fan channel so our opinion is unbiased. In your opinion, how well do you think Newcastle will do in the Prem next season?
@@OffThePostYT My mistake! Wanted to bring up points to the comments section and channel on a whole. On next season, I think it’s too hard to guess. With Newcastle, you’ll have potentially 7 solid teams vying for top 6, so long as Spurs get their fingers out (Game over without Kane though) and whatever Boehly is doing with Chelsea starts to stick. We could even throw in wildcards for Brighton and Villa. It’ll really depend on if Newcastle aren’t spread too thin in the Champions League that it affects their intense play style. Personally, I’d like to see them duking it out with Man Utd and Liverpool for 4th at least and I’m expecting a top 6 finish.
Not just best English manager best in premier league. If you look what he's done with Newcastle imagine what he would do with a line up like man City or Liverpool etc. Thoughts???
It wasn’t the construction of a state of the art training centre it was it was an improvement to the existing one. There is a lot of talk about a new training ground and new stadium ( or redevelopment on existing stadium) but is a way off.
So according to this video “minor details” like knowing your people’s birthdays, names of their families and children are “crazy”? That’s absolutely standard practice in the military and I think you’ll find that this applies in any close knit team. It’s more of a family than an occupation.
Correct. It is clear that Eddie Howe and his players are a ‘family’. However, it is uncommon in football to act upon this ideology as your first task in a new job.
@@OffThePostYT Well that’s fine and I agree, maybe the words you chose were just a little excessive. This is indeed an uncommon approach in a lot of ways for most organisations but I think that when you consider how the winning England rugby world championship squad took lesions from the Royal Marines on how you take whoever’s in your team and make them contributors and not people who remove anything from the team, then all you do is produce a virtuous circle of positivity where the team feeds off success and everyone feels that they make it better by being themselves. This is I think what Eddie Howe has done for my club. I’m in the navy myself.
Ok, pausing on formations. A huge huge difference. First of all 21/22 season's 4-3-3 plays: ST LW RW LCM RCM C(D)M LB LCB RCB RB This a Dutch system so to say, but the players were in the wrong position all the time. Shelvey is an attacking midfielder and should not be in the tip back. Put him RCM. Joelinton is a striker, why is he LCM?? And so the entire formation fails due to wrong positioning. The other 4-3-3 playes with LCM - CM - RCM and RS/RF - ST - LS/LF and opens op for more atting football with Joelinton now where he belongs. Miggy is good there as he should classify as a wing-attacker. As a RF or a RS he can cover the flanks as a RW would do in the previous formation. Also, even benched, Shelvey would perform better as this is closer to his play style as CAM. So, in short: old 4-3-3 with wingers fails because A) don't use the players for those positions and B) all players are on the wrong position. New 4-3-3 is far better and suits the players better and they are on the right position or even a better one leading to more threats, more consistency and better football.
Astonishing rise to glory Not so astonishing when all of a sudden they’re the 20th richest club in the world and still climbing. Football is a money game and nothing more.
20th??? What have you been smoking? I’m guessing you mean revenue, which is a lot different. For example, Man Utd and Liverpool make more revenue than the actual net worth of their ownership But Newcastle are incomparable financially with anyone else besides PSG and MAYBE Man City (Man City are owned by a high level government official but not the state themselves). Newcastle is state owned, and they share a chairman with Saudi Aramco, which was the #1 company on earth prior to the pandemic with a market cap of $2.2 trillion. The PIF (their owners) also own Saudi Aramco! Not to mention, it’s a consortium, involving the 2nd richest family in Britain, the Reuben Brothers, meaning they would STILL have the highest net worth of ownership in the Premier League without the Saudis (albeit not in the context of companies included though).
Your comment also makes no sense in a season where Arsenal are 1st, Liverpool are 9th and Chelsea, who have spent more than Newcastles purchased value since their takeover, sit in 10th. Your argument is redundant 🤷♂️
you said you beat giants like spurs ,they haven't won a trophy in 14 years, newcastle have no domestic trophy since the 60's, not a coincidence that you are doing well after a Saudi takeover, same as happend at city, money talks, but good luck to you, you've got a great English manager, I'll be shouting for you against utd.
Of course, you cannot ignore the fact Newcastle got a huge money boost from the new owners. Eddie Howe and his team deserve praise for spending money in the right areas.
The British media are talking about the Gulf and Saudi Arabia regarding human rights. You are shameless!! Abu Ghraib prison and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, what is this? He who talks about human rights should not have blood on his hands
You messed up with the 2022/23 team there’s no schar and take out target move burn to left bk I might be knit picking but I think if you’re gonna do a video get it right I’ll still leave I like ha
Our brand of football is not something I would describe as attractive football tbh. Attractive as a newcastle fan but not as a neutral. We are shithouse as fuck this year
Too unlucky in front of goal, there have been a ridiculous amount of chances missed that people gloss over, Joelinton has missed an open net in 3 separate fixtures (Man Utd, Arsenal, Southampton) for example, and Isak, Wood & Wilson have missed 1 on 1 chances too. Look at Crystal Palace for example, where valid goals somehow get cancelled out for no reason
@@OffThePostYT depends on what happens tonight I think! If we play our football and not let Barca dictate play then even a draw would be great!,then I think going into Sunday we will be full of confidence. But will be more interesting if we get our arses handed to us on a plate tonight which ain't gonna happen Rashford could score anywhere at present and whole team more than doing their jobs so Attack,Attack, Attack Attack Attack Come on Man U👹

Howe did they do it you ask ... 😛
Because of the Messiah
Edward can not pick a Striker and it will cost him
He has good choices tbf 🔥
those top tier training facilities, dont exist atmo.
Not yet. But they are plans introduced and funded by the Saudi owners.
Astonishing rise to glory
Not so astonishing when all of a sudden they’re the 20th richest club in the world and still climbing. Football is a money game and nothing more.
Thank you for your opinion.
20th??? What have you been smoking?
I’m guessing you mean revenue, which is a lot different. For example, Man Utd and Liverpool make more revenue than the actual net worth of their ownership
But Newcastle are incomparable financially with anyone else besides PSG and MAYBE Man City (Man City are owned by a high level government official but not the state themselves).
But only 10th in the transfer spend this season, even Nottingham forest have spent more than us.
only one reason MONEY
It goes deeper than that!
it's not the only reason, chelsea have spent money, a lot more.
Glory? I’d like to see them win something for the long suffering fans. No glory as yet though.
No trophies just yet. Carabao Cup pending?
you said you beat giants like spurs ,they haven't won a trophy in 14 years, newcastle have no domestic trophy since the 60's, not a coincidence that you are doing well after a Saudi takeover, same as happend at city, money talks, but good luck to you, you've got a great English manager, I'll be shouting for you against utd.
Of course, you cannot ignore the fact Newcastle got a huge money boost from the new owners. Eddie Howe and his team deserve praise for spending money in the right areas.
Always said he shud have been. Fregie replacement
Imagine where Manchester United could be!
We drew 1-1 to wolves in 2020? Didnt we?
Correct
The British media are talking about the Gulf and Saudi Arabia regarding human rights. You are shameless!!
Abu Ghraib prison and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, what is this?
He who talks about human rights should not have blood on his hands
Thank you for your comment but I don’t understand what you’re trying to say.
Newcastle will break up the top 4 and it’s just a matter of time before they’re winning Premier League titles.
For sure!
IT'S NEWCASTLE, not NEWCARSTLE
Up the toon! 😅
Hi Maria who spelt it wrong
You messed up with the 2022/23 team there’s no schar and take out target move burn to left bk I might be knit picking but I think if you’re gonna do a video get it right I’ll still leave I like ha
Thank you for your like :)
Shar not Targett
👍
HWTL
Toon toon
But Eddie Howes teams can’t defend 🤣🤣
They’ve done very well defensively this season!
Rise to glory? Howay man not done nothing yet mate 😂
Soon there will be trophies 🤞
What glory????
Hopefully the Toon can get their hands on some trophies soon
They Spent £100 Million + On Players & What Glory ? They Haven't Won Anything
Money well spent 👏
Our brand of football is not something I would describe as attractive football tbh. Attractive as a newcastle fan but not as a neutral. We are shithouse as fuck this year
Personally I love it though. The attacking style is a pleasure to watch. It is unfortunate that Newcastle can’t score more goals than they already do.
@@OffThePostYT agreed
Too unlucky in front of goal, there have been a ridiculous amount of chances missed that people gloss over, Joelinton has missed an open net in 3 separate fixtures (Man Utd, Arsenal, Southampton) for example, and Isak, Wood & Wilson have missed 1 on 1 chances too.
Look at Crystal Palace for example, where valid goals somehow get cancelled out for no reason
Good riddance Steve Bruce
It’s scary to think back to those times 😂
Rise to glory!😂😂😂😂😂🤦 you ain't won f#ck all geordie!! But Eddie however is the best English Manager buy a mile
Come on Man U 🏆🏅
The Carabao Cup final will be interesting! 🔥
@@OffThePostYT depends on what happens tonight I think! If we play our football and not let Barca dictate play then even a draw would be great!,then I think going into Sunday we will be full of confidence.
But will be more interesting if we get our arses handed to us on a plate tonight which ain't gonna happen Rashford could score anywhere at present and whole team more than doing their jobs so
Attack,Attack, Attack Attack Attack
Come on Man U👹
What rise..they haven't won anything. Most deluded club in England.
Newcastle had a huge rise from 20th to 3rd in the table.
Prince harry and the whole army are laughing on the “human right history”
Thank you for commenting
Money talks, bullshit walks.
You have to respect Newcastle’s rise
