Played with my 8 year old daughter. As long as i gave myself a 15 second time limit to make a decision the games ended up being split. We both enjoyed it greatly.
Hi Maggi, lovely tutorial! I feel that there are some inaccuracies (like Tiger being overpowered or generally holding on to a specific "best" card), but overall it's a very helpful guide and you touch on some interesting topics! I am planning on starting to create some Onitama-specific content, I want to create an in-depth strategy tutorial for the game and play some recorded games against as many good opponents as possible -- would you like to play a series of recorded games with me? Cheers, Onitama Oni
Forking is when you place a piece or pawn in a fashion that it's capable of attacking more than one square. It forces your opponent to make decisions they may not want to make. They may need to address one part of the board that they don't want to focus on.
Nice work, Marguerite this game wasn't even known to me until now. Bravo
+Adam Harvey it's quite fun! perfect to throw in the car to have while you're out and about.

I like you. You seem like a nice person :)
Tiger is overpowered. Kirin could be even more.

Are you familiar with forks (in chess)? - attacking 2 pieces at once?
Not familiar with that term, sadly. like placing threats on multiple pieces or is it a specific formation?
