I THINK FOR ME YOU ARE MY NUMBER ONE. I tried all including cleaning all encoders, removing and cleaning pump assembly and the carriage all in vain. It's your repair that fixed mine. Be blessed and keep on sharing video
Hi, thank you for your detailed video.I have a 7720 and i'm experiencing a similar problem but I know for sure it is not my carriage lock. When I start to print, the paper wont feed through the upper paper assey.Do you know what could be going on?
Can you do a video on a paper jam 7720 but no jam? Theres a little black lever in between a little white clip and i cant figure out which way the lever is suppose to sit. Im afraid im gonna break something. Right now the lever is dangling
I have two 7720 printers and I keep getting error 031008 on both of them. I've replaced the cartridges on them both and just can't clear the error. Any ideas?
Steve, thanks for the video. It didn't fix my problem, but I have the same error code. You seem clear and concise, so I am hoping you may be able to help with my issue, since I haven't seen anyone else showing the issue I have. My carriage is going through initialization and once it gets to the left it makes a grinding noise and stops. Then the error code comes up. I am using OEM inks. I have printed about 800 prints tops. Probably overshooting that figure. There are no jams. I am dust free. Worked one day, didn't work the next day. Have you come across this issue? Thanks for any help you can offer.
Do you have the 7720 or another model? Their error codes can be the same across different printers but the carriage assemblies vary greatly with Epson so that information will help possibly troubleshoot your issue.
@@merrette I appreciate that you cared to respond. I hope you don’t feel as though you stumbled into an extra project. If at some point you have an idea of what might be the issue I am all ears. I’m just trying to prevent myself from buying another printer, when fixing this one may be something that is simple. Good luck with your channel.
I replaced my print head on my Epson WF7710, and now it won't print black. (Which was the same problem I was having before replacing the print head). Any ideas?! Thanks!!
@@merrette Yes drivers are up to date, and yes I tried new cartridges. Before replacing the printhead, I did multiple head cleanings, manual cleanings with solution, printing purge files, and forcing air through the cartridges in case it was blocked. Still wouldn't print black. Replaced print head, then nothing would print. After several head cleanings, now only black will print and no colors. Ink is full. I can get ink to bleed out onto a paper towel when I force air through when installed, but cannot get it to print.
I’ve literally been trying to fix my printer for almost two months……. YOU JUST SAVED MY BUSINESS! Thank you!

Could not see the release lever, camera was too far away. Need closeup.
