I have found when I get lost (on snowy mountain in a blizzard as an example) and can't figure out which way to go ...some type of small animal shows up like a fox or rabbit. Follow them. They know the way
@@worm82075 I have followed many a single rabbit or fox back to the trail that leads me off mountains. I tend to get lost a lot in game which is why I name my chars like Getz Lost Eazy or Wrong Way Wanda.
Honestly, It offers you different role play options. Like, a thief who desires to become the richest person in Tamriel will take the goblet of Fortune. A warrior who desires to be the strongest of Fighters will take the goblet of Power. Finally, you could be a noble warrior who doesn't desire material possession, but finds peace in helping others. Just a few different ideas. There's a lot you can actually do with this quest.
@@RevanReborn3950BBY I don't know. Learning a unique spell is about the same as a unique helm you put on display. I wish it did more than save one spell cast though.
I'm planning to make a mod where the master transmute spell will do what some bandits in the game say as dialogue: change wood to gold. Sure changing iron to gold without going through silver is cool and all, but since there's dialogue in the game about "wizards changing wood to gold" I figured it would be more fitting to the master transmute spell!
Only downside to these spells, is that sometimes you do like to use silver. And transmute silver to gold always takes precedence over iron to silver. I think separating the first into one for iron to silver, and silver into gold would have been a good option. Especially now that we can make silver equipment. Meaning a separate spell for each stage instead of one transmuting both.
It can be good once you got your alternation all the way up as i wouldnt want to spend a hour just converting, too bad telekillnetics arent easier to find
Thanks for covering this in detail, ESO! I'm inclined to agree with you on your choices; Rulnick is a competent and powerful mage follower, but there are other followers filling the same role with more personality (Marcurio, J'zargo, even Serana). The Master Transmits spell just skips a step of the basic Transmute spell, and while money is nice, it's extremely easy to make a ton of septims in Skyrim: alchemy, the Farm, etc. Power gets you the unique helm and that sweet gladius, plus loads of armor pieces. I do appreciate the fact that the Bittercup quest plays out very differently depending on what part you choose. Cheers!
It's a shame that the creation didn't give us a whole set of armor to go with that helmet. It looks really good, and a whole set would've been more than enough reason for me to start a Legionnaire build using said set. *Edit 1:* Also, being able to craft the helmet and the other hypothetical armor pieces would've been nice too -- what if I want to enchant the helmet? I usually end up making a number of armor pieces w/ varying enchants before I decide on what I want most, not to mention how many I usually throw out in my quest to squeeze out as much power that I can get from said enchantments. *Edit 2:* So I just created an Imperial, and no doubt he'll end up being a Legionnaire -- but all things considered, I'll probably end up going with the Altar of Nothing. On top of getting another companion (who I can use for RP purposes), I get to feel kind of good knowing I saved his life, as my Imperial will be a morally good character that protects the people of Skyrim. Besides, there's already two great swords I can get that'd work for a Legion build (that being the Sword of the Crusader and Dragon's Tooth.) I guess if anything, wish me luck so that I don't lose with this character... _again!_
The helmet and sword were actually already in TES: Blades, and the Creation Club just ported them over to this game. It's the same for a bunch of other CC content apparently. The rest of the set didn't exist in that game either, which I thought was kind of strange.
considering it's based off of a gladiatorial helmet, there wouldn't be a full suit of armour as gladiators didn't wear suits of armour, just a helmet (if lucky), and adding on to that fighting for the legion wouldn't make much sense as a gladiator
@@alexbattaglia8297 gladiators very often fought in full armor and were competent fighters. 90% of fights also didn't end in death neither. Learn your history before speaking on it.
There is the champion quest in creation club, It comes with the anniversary edition. You get the stormcloak and the imperial one's. I personally found the imperial one to look rather corny but the weapons looked pretty badass. You can get them pretty much at level 1. Rather OP tbh for a good while( Probably transition to something else past 50ish lvl if you are on legendary). Just be careful because if you are on legendary the champion you face in a group battle can and will one shot you on legendary diff
@@jamessauls7533 I never mentioned their fighting prowess, nor the mortality of fights, so I have no idea what you're one about. In addition no they did not wear full armour, Roman depictions of Gladiators, (AT MOST) they wore a helmet, shield and armour on one of their arms (not including clothes worn). Learn your history before attempting to correct others
The Transmute Master Spell transmutes iron to gold directly. The Ironwood Fruit is occasionally sold by Khajiit caravans even if you didn't take the Nothing part. The follower can be made into a steward for Goldenhills Plantation though. The Grand Champion items are nowhere to be found when not picking the Power option. Those are what I've found by testing these paths myself. For me the Power option is the best one, since I'm a collector of unique items in Skyrim.
It is aggravating, though, since the Master Transmute is otherwise unobtainable. Yeah, it's basically useless, but it's still annoying because it's locked behind the different choice.
I started playing Skyrim V week ago. I am loving this game. And thank you so much. Even though I'm not playing special or anniversary addition. You still help me understand things.
hate to be that guy but skyrim is the 5th elder scrolls game. So it’s TES V: Skyrim. So a lot of the things in skyrim are from the other games, which only makes it more impressive tbh.
Im lvl 58 right now when I play Skyrim. Shadow-archer as you are. Having a new mage follower would be next to useless to me. Mostly as archer you want a tanky follower insted of mage. The unique seeds or fruit would be lovely. Depends what potions you can make from them. The fortune is again next to useless to me when I have over 100 000 gold on me and not able to use it on anything. And lastly the Power path. Even when I wouldnt use these unique items it feels like the best path to take. At least I will have an unique helmet and sword to display in one of my many houses.
I've been at 65 level for 3yrs. I don't wanna finish cause I prefer trying mods and just side questing for a hour or two. My laptop needs a upgrade too.
Tbh, I find no follower at all best for a sneaky whatever. You one shot everything just about regardless, especially with a dagger and rolling you can be done with a dungeon in a couple minutes. Mainly about if you like having a follower for carrying( if you really think you need to) or if you like their dialog. I find every follower in the game to be completely boring outside Serana somewhat
@@diegoveka1170 nah bro, you can one shot Dragons even on Legendary. There's a few ways to go about it if you really want that power.. but trust me, you don't.
@ESOdanny, Ataxia is also an illness in real life not just in Skyrim. It is a term for a group of disorders that affect co-ordination, balance and speech.
Basically means that DB for example dosnt have control of their movement or what they say. Which is a bit ‘Third Wall’ in a way as DB dosnt have complete control of those things as it’s the player who does that.
part of what i like about mage or battle mage builds is that even if you lose your stuff, you can still kill most things in the game. makes prison breaks surprisingly easy
Why carry a lame metal sword and shield when you can just *summon* a magic sword out of thin air that weighs nothing while rapid firing fireballs from your free hand?
Exactly what I was thinking too - you can use invisibility and muffle and still sneak a dagger kill mid combat, for instance; never run out of arrows; always have access to a personal army as a conjuror; make the enemies fight themselves before stepping outside the cell…or just destroy everyone with Unbound Storm 😂 It’s exactly why I RP with Magick maxed out: I never want to feel like “oh no I only have 6 iron arrows…”
Pickpocket exploiters do not get sent to jail 😑 the exploit is scum saving.. normal pickpockets do get sent to jail though.. since you know RNG will catch up to you@@khajiitimanus7432
I think any wealth related rewards are largely irrelevant past the start of the game as your character can quite easily get rich. New companions are interesting but disappointing as they aren't voice acted. I agree the power option was best for the unique weapons and armour. I'd rank the wealth option as worst because the unique rewards aren't that special. A master Transmute spell doesn't seem as useful next to a new follower or the unique sword and helmet.
I respectfully disagree since followers are most of the time useless . Although if the mods and procedures I mentioned above are used power and wealth can be obtained . Then you can a play through with both choices. It was kind of weird how eslaf room didn’t anything spawn until you pick the quest but the power options does so regardless is just a matter of getting in there and getting out.
Easly get rich? How? You know, I'm just started playing skyrim in 2021, and most of the issues i had with this game in every playthrough is financial issue, lol.
@@PiccoloNamexio I know I am late but if you haven't found a way to make money just grow dragon tongue,Scaly Pholiota,Fly Amanita in goldenhills plantation it's near rorikstead west of white run
@@PiccoloNamexio make some money and keep resetting the merchants til you find a fortify alchemy enchanted item. Disenchant it to learn it. Then make a potion of fortity enchanting. Drink it, and then enchant a new ring/gloves/whatever with fortify alchemy again, but stronger. Then make another fortify enchanting potion with that, and repeat the cycle. Eventually you'll end up with insanely high enchantments on things, which you can sell for ridiculous amounts of money. Even early game. With that, you can build up your speech skill, which will make the selling prices even higher. Eventually you'll have plenty of money with pretty much 0 cost.
Thank you for an awesome storytelling of what has become one of my favorite quests. My wife does not play reindeer games ( her verbosity ) as I have many. But to the short, I played this on the big screen and she enjoyed your storytelling of the quest. So I bid a huge THANK you. Of the 3 I chose MONEY the 2nd for early boost in crafting and selling. This fits my game profile of Thieves Guild, sneaky back shooting, Archery and light armor. For alot of negative feedback towards Anniversary Edition. I am enjoying another long ( due to added club content ) journey back through Skyrim. To me worth the cost. Thanks again for your narrating. Good day Sir.
Man I had to sell my PS4 for my gfs medical bill & she doesn’t have insurance ..me and her both used our savings ( not a lot ) so I had to sell my games and my ps4 I’m 21 turning 22 on December 15th. But honestly eso I’ve been watching you for so long . I started play Skyrim 11.11.11 my cousin my grandfather and I ..age 11 stayed up out side GameStop for the release . Figuring out my level 14 tank build can’t beat the whiterun giant , to becoming the guild master .. grandpa passed away in 2014 and I’ll never forget plying skyrim with him . It was the best time of my life . I wish I could play skyrim right now
Wait you lost me at “I had to sell my things to pay my GIRLFRIEND’s bills”….hospital bill or not: they have a payment plan option at every hospital. In the US they can’t deny you lifesaving medical care due to insurance coverage 😂 She’s have been perfectly healthy without you selling off your own property and she’d have learned a lesson in being a responsible adult paying her own expenses. Even if she was your wife, you understand she would still get her medical treatment anyway? 😂😂😂
If they'd hurry up and make Elder Scrolls 6 he'd have another 5 to 10 years of extra content. He does a great job with other games but people seem to love his Elder Scrolls content in particular.
I was able to travel to Giants tooth after completing the quest without doing the altar of nothing. So access to the location at least isn't tied to picking that option.
Note: From what I have heard, Ironwood fruit will pop up as a khajiit caravan item after the quest, regardless of which altar was chosen. Still, I'm kinda peeved that the Grand Champion gear and the Master Transmute are hard locked behind different choices. Wish there were alternatives, such as being able to buy Master Transmute from Tolfdir at high Alteration or smith the Grand Champion stuff with Dragonbone and Advanced Smithing perks. I kinda understand why they're locked, to make the decision more impactful, but as someone who really likes to be a goblin with hording every collectible item I can, it's kinda annoying.
Remember, the Bittercup is a Daedric Artifact of Clavicus Vile, and is actually better at preventing the Dragonborn from gaming the system than Vile himself in A Daedra's Best Friend.
In the path of power I used the Ritual Stone power to resurrect every dead NPC in the arena to fight at my side, and they stomped the crap out of everyone, including the champion
Put the Ritual Stone on the Aetherial Crown and you can have infinite undead. Just remove and put back on. Bam, no need to wait 24 hours. My current playthrough, I'm doing the Tower Stone power, unlocking everything.
I’m also a conjuror and was thinking how easy assembling a summoned army would have been at that moment too; or just use Mayhem and eat popcorn - or do Mayhem then use the ritual stone power.
I just now downloaded the anniversary addition and I've fallen in love all over again your videos have been so incredibly helpful to me over the last 2 years thank you so much! Btw the calmness of which you say get wrecked son is highly entertaining lol
If that island has other unique ingredients available then maybe that choice is best. As for the Choice of Power if planned it out more so you don't get your stuff taken then maybe that is best.
@@alexbattaglia8297 yes but rather specifically plan to only let the crappiest stuff be taken initially as a f*ck you to the bandits and the carry weight aspects of all this new gear and other loot.
31:09 - 31:18 That's not true. Transmute reads: *"Casting it converts one piece of unrefined iron ore in the inventory to silver ore, or silver ore to gold ore at the base cost of 88 magicka."* The only difference between that and this Master Transmute is that you transmute iron to gold immediately instead of transmuting it to silver first. No difference for Silver though.
I feel like each alter adds an equally entertaining quest and, depending on your character's skills and morals, equally good rewards. This is especially true if you're early on in a play through because you pretty much choose between a pretty good companion, an enormous amount of gold to spend on whatever you wish, or really high level gear if you have the right skills. Pretty what I am trying to say is this is one of the best creation club quest in Skyrim.
That sword came in handy when I did the battle of Whiterun. People can say what they will about the creation club, but the Skyrim creation club got some top-notch kit.
I’ve always been curious how many people worked on the books from Elder Scrolls and the computer terminals from Fallout. So much content there, and it feels pretty under-appreciated.
I've learned that If you have your health, magicka and stamina the same amount (say all three at 200 points), it will either randomly pick on to decrease or just decrease your stamina. For me, it went for stamina three times in a row. So id say it targets stamina
that's because in coding, most of the time "it" will pick the last X in the loop. Thus, stamina being the third and last in the row, it would pick that, if all values are identical. (I think that would be the reason, if you got them all 3 at 200.
I'm pretty sure, that just by looking at the bowl of Fortune, that "rare material" it's made out of is half of a dragon's egg. I've seen fantasy dragon egg designs before in movies and other video games, plus lots of fanart. They use dragon scale design on the outside of a lot of dragon eggs to indicate the creature inside. Those things would be more than worth their weight in gold. Bowl of Fortune, indeed!
I went Altar of nothing because I thought not being greedy would reward me in the end. Looks like its time to make a new character for the 15638087th time so I can rock that helmet.
For an alchemist character nothing is not a bad option tbh, you unlock an ingredient with all 4 benefit effects. It's the only useful thing in legendary imo.
It's incredible that this game is over a decade old and still is going strong! It makes me so pumped to hear Bethesda is embracing modders for Starfield!
I'm glad this video is here, I haven't started it because I didn't know which decision would be the best. But I'm giving Bethesda credit on this one, I loved the way I just stumbled upon it. I was traveling to Falkreath, on my horse because I'm a real Nord, and decided to take a shortcut around half moon mill. I've known about roadside ruins for a long time but haven't payed it much mind. My companion Erik started to fight the spriggen there so I got off my horse and decided to help. Then when I actually went inside the ruins to get whatever treasure was inside I saw that alter. I didn't know what it was and couldn't interact with it so I just went the rest of the way to Falkreath. After doing my business, eating, selling things, taking a bath to get all the dirt and blood off (Its a mod), I went to the inn to go to sleep for the night and begin bounty work in the morning. But lo and behold there a journal right on the nightstand and it's talking of the alter in roadside. It was just such a cool "No shit!" moment that Skyrim has filled me with for so many years. And it's awesome that even after all this time, they still are adding things to give me the same feeling 💯💯💯
I don’t remember if this has been in your videos, but in Skyrim you can get both Deadric Artifacts: Savior’s Hide and Ring of Hircine, if you kill Sinding after you get the ring.
@@I-AM-EL-ZOZO That's the point of the comment. If you duplicated the cup and drank it while your health is your lowest stat, it would make your health 0.
And decrease your other status bar too? 😂 Horrible idea. It’s much easier and more effective to learn to fortify Resto loop and enchant gear to get the stats you want. No downside
I do really enjoy that these options can be better or worse depending on how you built your character as awesome as that sword and helmet is it's useless if you're a mage character but the companion becomes a fantastic option and if you're a thief racking up gold that little pickpocket quest line is perfect for some character driven storytelling
@@salliemckenna6668 when I first played on my main account(Xbox 360) I had 1: destroyed the dark brotherhood 2:killed parthanax 3:I killed the forsword in the markarth prison instead of joining them These are all decisions I regret considering 2 of the 3 followers I got to join the blades have died because of me I got valdimar(not sure if it's the correct spelling), Eola(cannibal cult lady) and Marcurio to join it Marcurio died from me stabbing him cause he wouldn't be my follower(I didn't have a follower with me) and he had my nightingale bow in his inventory, tried pickpocketing it off him and he caught me I killed him My follower (teldryn Sero) attacked valdimar so I used unrelenting force on both of them forgetting I had the power which makes it have a chance to disintegrate enemy's and it disintegrated valdimar
For me, saving the NPC in the nothing option was the best option as you did a great deed. However it wasn’t as interesting or unique as the other two. It was just cool that you fulfilled his wish.
I would agree that the alter of power is the best hands down. I feel like the alter of nothing is second because it actually unlocks a new location, a new food item, and a new follower who is actually pretty good. The alter of power with some unique items is pretty nice as well as the pit fight being fun. But the alter of wealth is just a room full of gold and weapons and the only thing worth getting is the spell but none of it is unique plus there are so many ways to become rich in this game that’s it’s pretty useless lol.
Alter of nothing can be a bit more better, if there's an old fort you can "own" and is largely set up as for crafting from the resources you've acquire on the island.
There’s also a note that gives you an idea on what’s going on in one of the chamber pots. Also, as far as I can tell, there is no way to access the arena around the pit, even though disappointed gamblers are all too happy the relentlessly fire arrows at you.
You can always start the mission over you can even delete your saved information if you have to but you can just return to an earlier save and start the mission over and just do all three then decide which one you like the most do it and keep it
Just started playing skyrim for the 1st time and your guides are so useful , I am dyslexic myself so I feel your pain 😅 I think your doing a great job tho keep it up 😎
You can kill some variants of the courier, the only essential one is the one that spawns to give you messages, you can sometimes find him around the map
My fav game video host, concise coverage killer vids, at a speed anyone can follow, complete coverage of all points of interest and options. best skyrim vids out there my goto
I think the wealth option is the best pic the helm is ugly even if it is unique but the improved transmute spell plus the cash is better for long run you will be able to lvl smithing better with the gold ore and can spend all the extra money on training
I definitely appreciate you and your gameplay tips especially for the quest for Bittercup.. this was one that I had forgotten how to do, or at least how to get it started... So I just wanted to say thank you for uploading the video and as always you are appreciated, keep having fun doing what you do!
Hello everyone. This is my first post. I just had to thank ESO for making these vids. I’ve been playing Skyrim for years on and off (mostly off) but he’s rekindled that sense of adventure in me that I haven’t had for a long time. I do have a question though. I play on xbox one and I watch your vids on my iPad, I was wondering if anyone knew how and where I can access the ‘description’ so I can get a ‘list of the mods’ ESO is using, I don’t generally play with them but TBH, I’m really getting tired of the vanilla ‘appearance’. I don’t have a PC, so I can’t access the ‘description’ there. Oh yeah (almost forgot), I like your vids so much I just had to make a character named Ghet Recqed (LoL). Every time you say it I laugh. Anyways, thanks again ESO for the great vids. 👍
i like watching your videos it is like watching a tale with a narrator. Very calm explanation of things going on or things to come. Very good job. Thank you
Bittercup quest is a favorite quest, because if one chooses "no cup" - or something like that and goes back to Falkreath right after, you're led into a quest that can give a new follower that could be a great farm-hand after 1 quest.
After trying all 3 options I still like altar of nothing best. Since wealth gets irrelevant at some point and unique weapons/armor are irrelevant to my current magic-only playthrough I think Rulnik teams up very well with my ultra op mage build: he can use summoning staffs while using his own summoning spells which makes me legion 😈 And he is also suitable for marriage. Edit: I also think some of the new spells they added with creation club are the best thing ever ❤️ I didn't know I needed so badly a paralysis rune spell, not even master level required😍
Two tidbits: The ironwood fruit is unlocked regardless of which altar is chosen. Apparently, the ferryman to Giant's Tooth is available after quest regardless of which altar is chosen. Thus, the Altar of Nothing functionally only gives a Nordic Dagger, a follower, and the morally correct choice. For a more pragmatic approach, the real tricky thing is weighing the annoying fact that regardless of option picked, unique and otherwise unobtainable items are locked behind other options.
@@khajiitimanus7432 Well, that's the point of the choices. They lock you from different outcomes. You either get a follower, or a lot of money (and spell to make money), or unique helmet and weapon. Exactly what you choose.
@@dasik84 I full well understand that. But it's not the point of my frustration. I can understand having to wait to be able to get the other rewards, but as a collector, the idea of simply being _permanently_ incapable of ever getting the other rewards later on is infuriating.
I kind of like the arena from the bittercup DLC I kind of like the experience it’s like fighting an actual arena on the game kind of reminded me of a Oblivion wish they would add something like that completely to the game where you can actually fighting their move up in rank into fights like once a week or once a day. The follower is not really bad either adds an additional character to the game skyrim does not have enough NPCs The only quest I didn’t like is the thief one the quest was too short that’s why but the item you get is the worst of all I like to keep my attributes pretty balanced out so I don’t like it when there is a defect in my attributes But the overall to the DLC I think it’s pretty good
Thanks ESO. A good video. I play with the god mode toggled. Now I know what you are thinking. I worked 12 hour shifts when I played, and as I got home I couldn't go to sleep straightaway. Hence my gameplaying and movie-watching. I'd play or watch till I got drowsy and sleep for 4-6 hours. So when I played, I decided to go into god mode and play to follow the campaign. I didn't have time to go into the long way. Anyway, I just cut to the chase all the time now. Thanks again and cheers.
When I play Skyrim I never increased magica, even on mage playthroughs. When I am a mage, I always end up making robes that reduce the cost of destruction spells (or whatever magic I'm using) by 100% so every single time I level up, no matter what build I am, I only upgrade my health until it gets to a thousand, then I do stamina until it's 500, then the rest in health forever. The best way to use the bitter cup with the strategy, is to boost your magic with fortifying stats, so therefore your stamina is your lowest stat, then use the bitter cup, it will increase your health by 20 and decrease your stamina by 20, but will not affect your carry weight. You can then use your next two level ups to invest back into stamina to regain those 20 points, and you'll get that extra 10 lb carry weight as a bonus. Just kind of a nice free way to get an extra 10 lbs carry weight by using the bitter cup to your advantage
Idk if you know or covered this already but if you keep the sheogorath shaped amber at the end of saints and seducer you can take it to the atronach forge and get a new follower
I just found this quest book last night and this video appeared on my "suggested" list lol. I chose power right away. There's a bucket in one of the cells with a note that gets the optional marker completed, and the note will tell you that it's rigged so that even if you win, you never leave.
This is a great quest good rewards which ever path you take. The only downside I find with it is if you kill the rogue and loot the treasure room you can have hired thugs sent after you, strange because it is done by the noble that you set up and kill? Rulnik makes a great steward for the Golden hills Plantation. The helmet is nice, a little derpy but ok, sword is great. Found that if you use the pits entrance tunnel you can level up your archery/sneak killing all the spectators. Oh yeah if you have any (goat/mix hound-best choices) of the CC pets you can summon them and pack out most of the high level loot. Cheers, Battle Bro!🤙
Ataxia is also a disease in real life. I have cerebellar ataxia, it affects my speech and my balance but is in no way painful. This small detail is kind of immersion breaking for me
I love how the rouge's brother was just like "anyway don't worry about how to pronounce his name" and at first you think it's just a Nord or something being nasty towards Altmer just to find out it was an Altmer both posing as another race and insulting your capacity to read at the same time. That was pretty good.
I'm guessing Ironwood fruit (like nirnroot) can't be planted (as you might plant tundra cotton or leeks) in the Lakewood Manor garden or greenhouse...?
I alway play a conjurer because im a diablo witchdoctor stan. I have no qualms with my equipment being taken away. Bound dagger and wrathmen all day. And i prefer to be naked.
Just as you were here to show me the pros and cons of the original DLC’s, you’re here to show me all this new stuff I can’t play. But for some reason I haven’t been subscribed to your channel.. so cheers, sorry it’s taken so long. You are one of UA-cam’s best content creators, keep it up!
I ran into a glitch where I put duskfang on a weapon mount and it glitched its position and disappeared after I left house. Idk if it’s any weapon mount or just the one in Hendraheim, but I can’t get the weapon back. What’s worse is that I don’t have a save point before I did it, and the quest already says complete. Is it just… gone?
if you are playing on PC you could just console command it in. other then that i do not know of any way to get it back. I always make and keep multiple saves going back to the start of the game when it comes to Fallout or Elder Scrolls. Sorry you lost your sword man.
HENDRHEIM IS HORRIBLE MASS OF GLITCHING AND DEATH SCREEN OMG. Everytime i enter the building I crash at some point. No matter what I can enter with nothing and just be koving stuff - crash. Enter with mass of inventory - crash Doesnt even enter home - crash I had to kill the warrior twice, and ALMOST lost a weapon due to the mount above the door when you go downstairs.
its cool doing it like a roll game where u are a gladiator, but the arena, i think its way easy just if u are a vampire lord or a were wolf, like "hey boy, u dont know what u have bringed here..."
I've done this quest once. I did the "secret" follower choice. I followed two couriers once. They both were attacked and died. And they both had two letters for places that I could go and get stuff, I guess, but I haven't gone to those places yet.
@@ansfridaeyowulfsdottir8095 so the Anni version basically is another 60$ release of Skyrim with all dlc and all creation club mods, but if you already bought the Skyrim Special edition when it was released for Xbox one X (in 2016?) then it only cost 19.99$ (17.99$, if you have game pass). I think it’s worth it if you don’t already have Skyrim or you like Skyrim and play it for many hours. If not then I say no wait until a sell.

A great video (as usual!), but I've found I'm unable to start any of the Anniversary paid content... I've been to the start point of a couple of quests (like the one where you have to collect the book in the Raven Rock temple) and not found the item that begins the quest. What am i doing wrong?
@@shadenaugle7970 I'll check it out, thanks. I'm just worried that my purchase of the Anniversary Edition Upgrade hasn't installed, or there's something I should be doing prior to heading to that room...
I noticed a flaw in your sneak attack attempts. If you are hiding and fire an arrow the enemy starts searching. They come directly toward you because that's where the sound came from. But if you notice the eyes not opened meaning they have not found you. Fire an arrow past them and they will turn around to the sound of where the arrow hits. I've done entire dungeons with multiple enemies and have never been seen using this tactic. I've even Lord enemies out by firing an arrow where I wanted them to go to. And then shot them in the back. When they start coming my way I fire an arrow back to the original position then they turn around. It works even better with the Shadow warrior sneak perk. As soon as they turn around stand up and crouch back down. If you are in a dark area the perk activates and you basically disappeared to the enemy.
I've no doubt the content creators have to work to lots of limitations, regarding the engine and time commitments but It's something I actively talk about because I know we will also see the creation club in Starfield and I'd love to see the inclusion of fully voice acted content.
I’m not gonna lie to you that sounds like a load of cap when you look at the amount of Mods made by random people in their moms basement that make voice acted mods😂

There is a mod called Leveler's Tower that has a spell in that does that.
But where do you find wood ingots? 😁

Only downside to these spells, is that sometimes you do like to use silver. And transmute silver to gold always takes precedence over iron to silver. I think separating the first into one for iron to silver, and silver into gold would have been a good option. Especially now that we can make silver equipment. Cheers!
I sold 73 cabbages once. Great and easy money because everywhere you go theres cabbage.
jzargo also has no lv cap so he can even surpass the base games lv 81
Besides, there's already two great swords I can get that'd work for a Legion build (that being the Sword of the Crusader and Dragon's Tooth.)
I guess if anything, wish me luck so that I don't lose with this character...

That's not true.
Transmute reads: *"Casting it converts one piece of unrefined iron ore in the inventory to silver ore, or silver ore to gold ore at the base cost of 88 magicka."*
The only difference between that and this Master Transmute is that you transmute iron to gold immediately instead of transmuting it to silver first. No difference for Silver though.
there's a diffrence, the new spell does ingots, not ore where as the old spell only does ore.
The writers don’t care though - they got paid a long time ago 😂
I like it how you not just one-shotted Naski, but turned that scene into a fight interesting to watch.
When in the pit you can use the conjuration spell,"bound bow" if you run out of arrows plus it's a more powerful bow.
Very good to know
I've learned that If you have your health, magicka and stamina the same amount (say all three at 200 points), it will either randomly pick on to decrease or just decrease your stamina.

I would agree that the alter of power is the best hands down. I feel like the alter of nothing is second because it actually unlocks a new location, a new food item, and a new follower who is actually pretty good. The alter of power with some unique items is pretty nice as well as the pit fight being fun.
Thank you
Really cool to see Bittercup the daedric artifact return from Elder Scrolls 3!
Bittercup quest is a favorite quest, because if one chooses "no cup" - or something like that and goes back to Falkreath right after, you're led into a quest that can give a new follower that could be a great farm-hand after 1 quest.
After trying all 3 options I still like altar of nothing best.
Since wealth gets irrelevant at some point and unique weapons/armor are irrelevant to my current magic-only playthrough I think Rulnik teams up very well with my ultra op mage build: he can use summoning staffs while using his own summoning spells which makes me legion 😈
And he is also suitable for marriage.
Edit: I also think some of the new spells they added with creation club are the best thing ever ❤️ I didn't know I needed so badly a paralysis rune spell, not even master level required😍
Two tidbits:
The ironwood fruit is unlocked regardless of which altar is chosen.
The follower is not really bad either adds an additional character to the game skyrim does not have enough NPCs The only quest I didn’t like is the thief one the quest was too short that’s why but the item you get is the worst of all I like to keep my attributes pretty balanced out so I don’t like it when there is a defect in my attributes But the overall to the DLC I think it’s pretty good
Thank you for continuing to make Skyrim videos! These are my fav ones🙌🙌
After watching all your Skyrim videos of late I’ve finally saved enough to buy the 10yr anniversary Skyrim pack
22:32 gives new meaning to the term "dead drop" lol.
The NPCs don't loot corpses, they're checking their pulse.
I'm confused if you never increase Magicka why you wouldn't want that one to go down?
18:04 was half expecting a bunch of Huey helicopters to appear out of portals playing that song
What if you have the same amount of attributes (e.g. 200 Magicka, 200 Health, and 200 Stamina)? How will the permanent effects from Bittercup work?
I tried that. For me it lower magic and raise health . It is the default setting.
Idk if you know or covered this already but if you keep the sheogorath shaped amber at the end of saints and seducer you can take it to the atronach forge and get a new follower
My build was OP anyway, so I just went with the theif bcoz
1) I was a spellsword, wanted to try being theif
2) Money money money baby
I just found this quest book last night and this video appeared on my "suggested" list lol. I chose power right away. There's a bucket in one of the cells with a note that gets the optional marker completed, and the note will tell you that it's rigged so that even if you win, you never leave.
Eslaf Erol spells False Lore backwards . ( In the journal of the high elf ) .
Those priests are probably the biggest scam i ever seen. Every quest they give involves kynareth trying to slay you with her spriggans for doing it.
The beauty of choosing Power is if you have decent magic to start with, you can be okay
Ataxia is also a disease in real life. I have cerebellar ataxia, it affects my speech and my balance but is in no way painful. This small detail is kind of immersion breaking for me
Honestly the helmet looks cool on it's own but when worn it's too big and it doesn't really fit with any armor except maybe the ancient snow elf set.
I love how the rouge's brother was just like "anyway don't worry about how to pronounce his name" and at first you think it's just a Nord or something being nasty towards Altmer just to find out it was an Altmer both posing as another race and insulting your capacity to read at the same time. That was pretty good.
Ahhh kinda like Jussie Smollet or whatever his name was
I'm guessing Ironwood fruit (like nirnroot) can't be planted (as you might plant tundra cotton or leeks) in the Lakewood Manor garden or greenhouse...?
Also, DON’T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I HAVE!!
The “Ebony Blade” weapon mount does the same thing in Hendraheim, so please be careful people!!!!
if you are playing on PC you could just console command it in. other then that i do not know of any way to get it back.
Enter with mass of inventory - crash
Doesnt even enter home - crash
I had to kill the warrior twice, and ALMOST lost a weapon due to the mount above the door when you go downstairs.
@@deathberryjam907 glad I’m not the only one
its cool doing it like a roll game where u are a gladiator, but the arena, i think its way easy just if u are a vampire lord or a were wolf, like "hey boy, u dont know what u have bringed here..."
Fuck, you beat me to saying that. It's not a tournament anymore. It's a buffet.
The fortune quest for Bittercup is almost exactly the same as the heist quest in Witcher 3 Hearts of Stone DLC. Very peculiar
Well, there are a lot of evil brothers in the world...
What a wonderful walkthrough of all choices! I’m glad I came across your video. Extremely helpful, thank you! ❤
Is there a level requirement for this quest, just bought the anniversary edition on steam but the journal to start the quest isnt there?
not there for me either
I've done this quest once. I did the "secret" follower choice.
I followed two couriers once. They both were attacked and died. And they both had two letters for places that I could go and get stuff, I guess, but I haven't gone to those places yet.
Ataxia is real lol im dying from it now irl
also, does ironwood soup cure vampirism?
Only if you are in the early stages of vampirism would it cure you. If you are full on vampire, you have to find a priest in Morthal to cure you.
you are one of those people who is keeping this game alive RESPECT
How odd to have a quest where everythign can be walled off. Is this vanilla Skyrim Anniversary or a Mod?
{:-:-:}
this is a new quest added officially within Skyrim anniversary edition and can also be brought separately as part of the creation club content
@@ESOdanny
It's a paid mod for SE, but also a free part of Anniversary?
{:-:-:}
33:06 the part how your striped of all your belongings kind of reminds me of this insanely hard dnd dungeon and i think it was called the dungeon of terror or something like that
edit: I was close it is called the tomb of horrors
A great video (as usual!), but I've found I'm unable to start any of the Anniversary paid content... I've been to the start point of a couple of quests (like the one where you have to collect the book in the Raven Rock temple) and not found the item that begins the quest. What am i doing wrong?
They're tricky to find, the raven rock one is down the steps to the room on the first right and then on the table
Someone needs to find a "feature" that will let us do all 3 in one playthrough
you can use console commands to reset your character back to the quest stage that you choose a bowl and do it again.
@@AnderZ312 You cant use commands on xbox sadly, so hopefully someones finds an exploit soon
@@AnderZ312 What command would be put in console?
that defeats the purpose then
Spiff : what's that? Can't hear you over my unlimited armour and mana while I sip my tea
It's actually because adding new voice lines to the game is a lot more difficult than on paper, in other words, easier said than done.
@@kevinc8557 remember Bethesda has to do the same lines multiple times in different languages so it can get pretty pricey paying all those voice actors.
@@demoniclemon9897 True, but again. Mods made by people in basements have more time and effort than what Bethesda did. Clockwork is one for example, the storyline, voice acting, and just overall amount of time and effort in 2 (two) languages is fucking beautiful. So if someone working for free can bring something out so great why cant someone who has a good amount of money under their belt?
@@deathberryjam907 Exactly because of that reason, they aren’t working for free, they’re given a set budget for everything and can’t just spent extra time or money on any given part unless the elites above who don’t even know how game creation works on the level of an employee give the go ahead. There’s also licensing, ownership, translations and official paperwork on top of the cash and time allowances
