I was looking at it thinking if that was me I'd keep that basic layout...rotate the amps flat facing up bring that up higher so he can still use the rearview and then do 12's or 15's in the extra space on the subs side. Very cool install. Lost points on the "They're not even a 1/4 of the way up" though. Jacob should be educating peeps that say this sort of thing and passing on the knowledge.

Imma throw this almost exact same setup in my 2006 Acura tsx. Gonna go with a full skar build. 4 sdr 10s on 2 skar rp.1500s and then do 4 skar tx 6.5s, 2 skar 240 watt tweeters and 2 skar tx 6x9s. I’ll be putting in a plug and play amp as well which will make the rear 6x9s act as full range speakers (they currently act as “subwoofers”) and then an agm battery and a 320 amp alternator. The one thing I’m not an expert on is boxes so it will be 2 of the dual loaded enclosures which I measured out my trunk and those are the biggest subs I can fit that will run on the 320 amp high output alternator I’ll be buying. Would have liked to go with 4 sdr 12s but you win some you lose some. Gonna run me about 3 grand but it’s gonna be tight. I’ll be making this purchase in late June/Early July so Jacob if you’re ever in the Cincinnati area around that time, hit me up and I’ll give you a demo.
If it were a as much shorter as that port made it, and therefore a sealed box, you could throw a 3 inch memory foam pad back there, stab some holes, and mount the seatbelts to the box and still have a usable rear bench seat.
Why not get the EVL's or the VXF's instead , I mean that box looks really nice and expensive why not give it something better, EVL's will not disappoint
Yeah because skar amps are powerful. I have a 1500 on one fifteen and it's turned only to two o'clock. I turned it to pull power one time and it was giving my mid size passenger car hell. I'm going to go with a 2000 watt soon. Im sticking with skar amps.
@@areasonablethought610 The amp gain is not a volume knob, its simply to match the output the head unit so itll be a clean signal without clipping till you hit the distortion point in the head unit
@@TheOne-yc1wt my skar nor Kenwood head unit distorted though. The bass output itself made me cut it back down. It was so loud that it scared me by it being in a car.
I can only imagine it sounds like shit unless the mids & treble are the same level give or take. That's one of the ways you tell whether subs sound good or not....NOT simply their ability to go low. It sounds like shit on all the videos anyway....but to be fair it's a UA-cam video so ..

evls are weak, they have weak parts and dont take abuse well

Why is everyone having a problem with him having his gain only a quarter way up? I think he realizes he needs beefier 10s to turn it up more.
Because gain is not a volume control of power i guess.

You could almost run all 4 10" EVLs off 1 skv2.3500 lol. Each sub is only rated at 1k watts rms a piece
