This is actually a fantastic iteration of the band. They should have developed this style of playing more into the 80s. They could have still slotted in songs like Lick It Up and Tears Are Falling. But this kicks ass
Agreed. They put out 4 mediocre at best albums following Vinnie's departure
What a badass show! The power and energy of the band and the crowd.. Is awesome!
I saw every American KISS tour starting with Dynasty until present and the Creatures tour with Vinnie and Eric was always my favorite KISS show by far. So loud, heavy, and in your face. Now let me say I love Ace and I went to the Creatures show mainly to see him and when I learned outside the arena that Vinnie was on this tour I was really bummed out. By the time the concert was over though I realized I hadn’t even missed Ace. Vinnie was so awesome. I wish he hadn’t fallen out with the band because he was the perfect replacement for Ace like Eric was the perfect replacement for Peter. I would have loved to see more than one more album with this lineup. As a metal head I had been longing for a heavier more metal KISS and this line up was it hands down.
As unstructured as Vinnie was on stage, he never once tried to play it like Ace. His guitar work was totally his own. Props!
Velhos bons tempos! Curti muinto. Saudades desse tempo.
Vinnie Vincent fez um show impecável
stick to funk moral you know no guitar shit
Rest In heaven Eric Carr. We love you
I saw this tour back in '82 in Detroit, MI. :) First KISS concert. The only other one I saw was when they did the 1996 Reunion Tour at Tiger Stadium. :)
Incredible! KISS rules!! Awesome 83 footage from South America!
Gotta love Vinnies' Dr.Love solo!! Great:))
They were in their prime then as a hard rock touring band. Saw them in La Crosse with the Plasmatics opening up for them. Unbelievable energy that night‼️
I wish VV solo was longer in dr. love........so awesome
Vinnie's Dr.Love solo here is the best fucking solo ever in the history of this band!
Yes! and I was there.
was there actually seats or chairs there or did people just stand wherever they wanted? It seems like people are just piled on top of each other in the audience, I'm surprised no one got trampled!
Kiss was clearly at their musical peak right here talent wise, ironically in the states they were at a low point popularity wise, it's too bad this lineup didn't last longer especially Vinnie Vincent , Who absolutely nailed that solo , light years ahead of ace technically.
wrong, Peak = 1980 EUROPE TOUR
unmasked ?
The best quality I've ever seen oh this show.
O maior show da história do KISS, segundo declaração deles mesmos.
@@alexsantana1780 Cara, a estimativa real é quase 300k, teve invasão, derrubaram 3 portões.
Eu tbm fui kkkk
Hands down Eric Carr was their best drummer!!!
Really good crowd!
Chris J
205000 people in the Maracana Stadium in 1983
+James Boyles there's never too many for KISS
James Boyles I disagree with you being able to speak about it.

Ace ; no way , this solo is untouchable
Vinnie ; ok watch me 🤘
Tbm gosto dele fazendo Love Gun 🤘
Achei o inicio do show!!!❤
Long Live Rock and Roll
Assistindo em 2020 dá joinha
Yup...the most energetic best songwriting years.
War Machine. Vinnie’s playing was nuts
Got DAMN THIS SHIT IS GOOD..... best line up other than the original.
Eu estive neste show. Insurdecedor. Muito bom.
Eu tinha 22 anos e estava lá.
I hated Vinnie back in those days, probably because I was a huge Ace fan and nobody could replace him. Looking back now, though, Vinnie brought some inspiration, energy and good songwriting to the aging band. They made some good albums with Bruce Kulick, but imagine had they just hired on Vinnie as an equal partner, and let him do his damn awesome extended solos, how good the next few albums would have been.
Chris Clark sorry by the poor English , Ace was my first hero and i love 70's albums but a few minutes are enough to see that Creatures and Lick it Up have better songs, better solos , better drums and Paul singing too much ... i don't give a damn for the haters , is just listen to the songs and to perceive that its true. Cheers from São Paulo, Brazil
Say what you want about Vinnie, but he has always been an excellent song-writer.
Wow! KISS truly sounds Amazing here!
Eu estava lá nesse mar de doidos!!!! Estava com 22 anos que loucura
Eu também estava lá,inesquecível.
good rare footage...
pauls jump at the beginning was right on time. and gene was going nuts there lol
"I Love It Loud" and freakin' "War Machine," that's some heavy metal. Gene keeping it alive! Wahi' Valleys
Vinnie was the best thing that ever happened to KISS.. he fucking saved this band single-handedly with his style, raw power and talent. and he made Paul and especially Gene so envious. It's remarkable how he shreds the best version of the "Creatures of the night" solos and the cameras are ordered to stay on Paul and Gene DURING THE FUCKING SOLO!!!
Vinnie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Some ppl say this is the biggest audience ever in Maracana...200.000 ppl were there
