Jack, the blue dotted line is the acumulative water and it is not the goal water flow, such as the brown dotted line is the acumulative weight
Thank you for clarifying. Yep, I realised it can’t be a target but it is great someone confirmed that. As you can see I am new to Decent but hopefully with time and help of viewers I will get there.
Jack, based on my calculations using that corked WDT as reference, you are max 4' 11" in height. Also, announce your Decent giveaway next video!!!!
You are very perceptive 😛 As soon as I get 1mln subscribers I will personally send my Decent to you😛
I have had my best flavour and extractions from using my WDT, distribution tool, obviously a tamper and a puck screen.
While some feel that the puck screen doesn't really do anything other than preventing a soupy puck but I do find that a puck screen does give a more even extraction in my opinion due to the puck screen acting like a secondary dispersion screen enabling the water to go through the puck without creating any visible channels
I often use puck screen for my La Pavoni, mostly to keep the group head clean. I have noticed that it slows down the extraction a bit. Maybe that is why you notice the difference.
There are a lots of sensors in the Decent, just above the puck and I think the puck screen could potentially interfere with their readings.
@@mycoffeeshow111 that's true, I have the sage dual boiler so I don't have that amount of technicality behind my shots.
Besides the fact that the group head stays a lot cleaner requiring fewer backflushes and cleaning when tested with and without the puck screen it can make 2-3 seconds difference in total yield
@@mycoffeeshow111 also @therealsprometheus did do quite a detailed video using a WDT an ONA OCD and just tamping which is quite good
@@CoffeeandCoilsYT Sage Dual Boiler was on my list of coffee machines. The value for money ratio is amazing. Have you tried any modifications?
@@CoffeeandCoilsYT I think I saw it but will check again. I was not planning to do this video but many viewers asked. I wasn’t expecting to find any significant difference but here we are.
