Being a South Indian i never released how hard it is for people to break open the coconut and take out coconut milk. A suggestion rather than using stainer along with small cloth just use a bit bigger cloth and twist on both sides to squeeze the coconut milk out. How they do it for cheese making using cheese cloth.
I never have seen someone open a coconut so sophisticated in my life 😃 Normally we just bang it hard against the concrete ground and edge of the step here in Trinidad, until to splits open
Lovely recipe; An easier way to soften coconut its to put in in the hot oven for maybe 5 minutes or on top of stove's top, tap it on all sides and crack it open. Then grate the meat and use cheese cloth, so much easier.
I really appreciate that you don't use artificial colors in your products. All natural is the best way to go specifically with all the industrialization and all the colors and low quality soaps.
Hola Srta. Me ha impresionado este proceso de como usted elabora el jabón. Me parece increible y el ver q no se corta la leche de coco con lo cítrico. Estupendo
Fantastic video and awesome, beautiful soap! You did make a doble effort making this soap. Now i realize how lucky im having various places where a can buy the coconut open and ready to use. Love the soaps you make, so natural. Thank you for sharing.
Greetings, your (SECRET) soap making looks amazing, I say "secret" because there is no ingredients listing while making the soap. And, a note for future videos...wayyyy too much background noise, with slamming of your dishes, yet I enjoyed the soft background music. I would most definitely watch more of your videos without so much (utensils) background noise...hurts my inner eardrums when using earphones. Giving thanX for sharing. Much respect and love 💪🏾🙏🏽
Wow, what a lovely soap, i recently made a soap with spirulina, mixed it with half the batter, the other half was left without any additives. And I too used Palmarosa EO, but mixed with cedarwood and peppermint.
@@tellervo. I got a less intense colour more like pastel green as my oils had yellow colour. Also I didn't infuse the oil I used spirulina powder directly.
Hi, what is the name of the little white cloth that you used to put inside of the spring there because when I try to use a napkin or paper towel inside of my screen or it doesn’t come out and pour out like yours do because it’s just really give me back the olive oil you color instead of mix with the spirulina
Another peaceful and beautifully presented video. You stay so calm and take your time whilst making soap its always a pleasure to watch. I can smell the lime just watching and the lather was amazing. Thank you again.
First of all : I LOVE this video, it's relaxing and really shows the beauty of the products and how you make everything by taking your time and care. My question, can you tell us please how to replace the lye ? I have read with baking soda ... do you have info if that works in your recipe? Thank you so much! I can;t wait to try and I hope I can try with a replacement...
I am from PHILIPPINES,,it's easy to break open the coconut by using the back of a big thick knife for safety not to accidentally hurt yourself and than we use a manual or electric coconut grater, next we squeeze the coconut and use a cheesecloth to strain it...I learn all of it during my young age
Wow! I've got 10 fallen coconuts and was planning to make oil tomorrow! Will definitely try this! I need to know whether you have to take off ths dark skin? It's such a hassle. I just take the coconut 'flwsh' with the skin to my neighbour who grinds them for me. Thanks!
Beautiful!! I'm substituting EWG Castile soap with the coconut, coconut oil, and fresh limes. I also added tea tree oil, lavender oil, herbs, and rosemary to it because I'm making shampoo too. Thank you!!!
Mee again lol, 🤗I gotta say. This was not only relaxing to watch but i aslo Doozed off! 24, man i'm getting old. I woke up & was a bit upset it you wasn't making a Key Lime Pie!! 🥺😆 It's great to see you take a lot of Pride & love into what you do. If you sold any of this finished product online i would buy it myself even. All those Camera angles, Super! & Very well edited. The first time I watched one of your video I thought that you were angry due to the slamming down of your utensils and tools, the louder sounds sounded like suppressed frustration to me. Now I realise this is an aesthetic and your video style, part of your niche as it were. And I love it, so long as those crashes are not too abrupt. You usually balance out the sound effects perfectly, just like your beautiful soap making. There are a couple of clashed here that were a bit too much, and I started to think about your life state rather than the soap making itself. Nothing wrong I conclude, it just became a distraction, just my personal thoughts only. It’s okay if others disagree. I love it, the audio, so long as it’s not toooo much. Your recipe is absolutely amazing, in its creative idea, in design, form, colour, and ingredients. You are one of my favourite teachers and soap artist. Peace!🦋
@@susangarland6869 Like I said Susan, it’s okay if you disagree with me, I expressed my thought in good spirit. Your opinion is as valid as mine. Thanks for the suggestion to turn the volume off, I like the music so I don’t.
What did you add to the coconut when you were crushing the coconut in the beginning? Was it water? Love the video. Very detailed. I kept looking up the ingredients you were using in google to know what they were. I learned a great deal, thank you.
Thanks for sharing this beautiful mind-soothing video. That seems a lot work to enjoy doing and the fruits out of that work is fragrant. But for how long? I mean how long is the shelf life?

I tried your recipe for yellow soap and it's fantastic. My only problem was pouring in small molds becouse it start to get hard on me. I would love to try this one as well. Can i start pouring soap in molds when it's more liqudy? And i would also like your advice regarding coconut milk. I do not have where to buy real coconut and do it your way. Can i replace with one feom the store? They have something like coconut cream, coconut water. I would greatly appreciate your advice. Love your work❤
i never thought that you could add lime juice to soap ( i did watch another soaper use lemon juice and it failed miserably) - i'll be following your method
Amazing work! I was mesmerized while watching this video. I'm new at making soap and I like using natural ingredients. For how long do you put the soap into de freezer if you don't mind answering. Lovely soap. Thanks in advance.
A vegetable peeler works well to remove the brown layer over the coconut meat aka flesh. Blending the meat with a high speed blender and straining it through muslin or cheesecloth would yield more milk.
So calming! Thank you for sharing. I noticed the smell of spirulina while I'm making this recipe. Will it remain its odor to the soap after the soap is cured?
Beautiful video as usual. I can imagine how nice smells when you are making it. I only afraid that I probably finish eating the coconut meat before I start making it😄
I'm going to make this soap this week. Is it okay to omit the essential oils? Or only use a little? I would like to add some bergamot essential oil, but don't want to take away from the coconut and lime too much.

Beautiful!! I thought I was not possible to make soap out of citrus because of the acidic nature but I'm willing to try this one.
Thank you! Definitely possible but it will just raise the superfat so it's good to be aware of that😊

very informative video. Any substitute for olive oil like almond, coconut. Please suggest.
As a farmer.. we used to extract coconut milk by using greater to shred the coconut meat..then squeeze the meat using cloth..

gorgeous. I don't know if I watch to learn how to make soap or to be inspired by the scenery
A safety tip: put a damp towel under your cutting board to keep if from sliding around. That's a bad accident waiting to happen.
Thanks for the tip I'll do that next time😊
