Uncle Scott, We just got our new nostalgie cooking range and we have no idea what the instructions mean. Can you make a video that shows how to set the different timing modes for cooking? There seem to be 3, Automatic, semi automatic and manual. Thanks!
Wow! Nostalgie and ilves are awesome! If I had to nitpick anything, it would indeed be the instruction manual. It seems like someone took an Italian manual and ran it through Google Translate. I have actually not used the automatic start timer thing... I just use the clock and the timer. I have had several people ask about my ilve... maybe I can do a video on it soon! How do you like yours? What color did you get? Which configuration?
I have a touchpad instead of these buttons. It is not intuitive and the manual does not help. Are you familiar with the settings on this? I can’t seem to get to a clock
Can you tell me what color/trim your ilve is? I love the combination and am planning to order one- I am interested in the matte graphite with bronze trim, and i was wondering if that's what yours is or if you have a combination of bronze and brass or custom color? Thank you!
Scott I have a 36 majestic. I love it except for one thing. When the oven is on it vents to the front behind the knobs. Yours looks newer did they finally address this flaw?.
I think mine vents near the back. I think it has some sort of sensor in the electronics area between the oven and stovetop that kicks a fan on if it gets too hot in there. My only complaint with it is that it says it will get to 500F but I can only get it to 480F. But they say anything within 5% is "accurate."
Scott - I have the alarm symbol showing and can’t get rid of it! And the manual will only say how to set the alarm but not how to remove the alarm. How can I get rid of the alarm please?
good evening Uncle Scott, strange coincidence that i just started looking to buy the 48" ILVE MAJESTIC IN BLUE WITH POLISHED COPPER HANDLES/BARS and today i was video surfing on UA-cam and i landed on your channel. started watching the videos on the De Buyer Mineral B Pro pan and was immediately drawn to your 48" range and i kept hoping that you would pan down far enough so that the ILVE logo would come into view. went through all of the videos until i saw the video on how to reset the clock!!!!!
sorry but i tend to take forever to get to the point...... i believe its been like 3 years since you got your ILVE. can you tell me how you feel about it/etc.... any thoughts/complaints/etc would be greatly appreciated. thank you, richard
It's the only high-end stove I've used, so I can't really compare it to others, but I really love it. It really is a centerpiece of the kitchen and everyone that visits talks about it. I think it cooks great. if I had one nitpick (and it's really more of a nitpick on myself), it's that we don't use that smaller oven very much. I also don't use the griddle much, but having six burners is great... I think one time at Thanksgiving we had all six going at once. So it's expensive but I have enjoyed using it every day for five years now.
