Hi Sophie, I'm currently on the market for a new range, and I'm considering an ilve. 6 yrs later, are you still in love with the ilve, and is it still working well? -Milla :)
What setting do you use for the oven when baking cookies? I recently got a dual fuel Ilve range and seem to be having a problem getting to to temperature on the "conventional" setting which is what I thought I should use for baking.
For cookies, I suggest the convection setting. The fan keeps the temperature even throughout the oven so all the cookies get done evenly. As for "not getting it to temperature," if you're using an American model oven you need to make sure you convert any European recipes you might be using from Celsius to Fahrenheit.
I’m considering purchasing the 48” oven although it looks like the oven is now sold under the name of Hallman but I’m not sure why. Anyway, I really loved your hood and wanted to know if you could share what kind of hood you purchased. Thanks
Ilve Majestic, we find the top element only/browning function is soooooo slow to toast or brown bread. Manual does not help. Seems the "broiler" ought to be super hot. Tried setting the thermostat on 500 when using the top element only.
I’ve read lots of reviews that say the set up is tricky in the US and that there isn’t good customer service to help. So you find this to be true? I want to purchase one but am afraid I’ll get it and then they won’t be able to hook it up correctly 😬
Whitney, I'm with you. So very interested but concerned about service. The places I've contacted to date haven't gotten back to me :( Doesn't look good!
Elaine Paphides that’s a little nerve racking. There’s no place around the west that has a store. So I’m pretty sure no one has installed one before. I did get a little confidence from the Home Depot reviews and questions. There were a lot of questions and the company replied to them
@@SaltandPepper8010 the Home Depot sells the Hallman brand range, from what ive read they are still made in Italy by Ilve but at least you would have the ease of Home Depot for any returns/warranty issues. The Hallman headquarters are in Texas (someplace near Austin i believe) and Mr. Hallman is accessible via emails for any complaints/warranty issues as well.

Very nice oven, looking forward to more great recipes from you!
Hi There would you have any comparison with Wolf and La Courne?
Hi Sophie, I have heard that their oven fans can be loud. Have you noticed an extraordinarily loud noise? Thank you!
Hi Sophie, Could you please let me know what is the Model Number for this range? And also the Range hood. Please and Thankyou.
Is this a 36" range?
Can you do a review of the range as you have had it for a few years now? Have you had any issues with it?
I still Loooooooove it.
And another year on? Any issues?
Who makes the hood you have?

I wouldn't use pure olive oil on that skillet, never cook high temp with it either.
I love that set up
Grapeseed oil is recommended for seasoning.
Is the “Ilva” range the same as the Hallman range???
Thank you
Same manufacture in Italy, different specs. Hallman is their lower cost/feature brand, Ilve their premium brand; both, the Ducati of ranges.
what the size is it ?
I like your tea kettle; who makes that?
I believe it's a Le Creuset!
what model is your Ilve?
I'm not sure - Let me research and get back to you!
Nostalgie 36"
I just got my 36" Ilve Pro dual fuel double oven. I don't even know where to begin!
So complicated, right???
@@SophieUlianoGorgeouslyGreen Lots of stuff I have never had before!
