- Selena’s older sister, Suzette Quintanilla, opens up exclusively to ET’s Deidre Behar about the late Tejano superstar receiving the 2021 GRAMMYs Lifetime Achievement Award. Not only does Suzette react to the honor, but she also gives fans a close-up look at the award and shares where the Quintanilla family is keeping it. The Los Dinos drummer also recalls the night Selena won her first GRAMMY award in 1994 and shares her favorite memories from the experience. Suzette praises the Recording Academy and Selena’s fans for keeping her legacy alive over the past 25 years, following her untimely death. The entrepreneur explains why Selena’s legacy is still so strong and resonates so strongly with generations old and new.

It's about TIME Selena received a Lifetime Achievement Award. I've been a HUGE fan for going on 24 years - in fact, she's pretty much all I listen to - and, it's really a mystery to me that it took as long as it did for her to receive it. It was LONG overdue. And, the fact that Selena's fan base continues to grow at such an incredible rate, nearly 26 years after her passing - which is virtually unheard of in the world of music - is undeniable proof of how loved and admired Selena continues to be around the world. She had a combination of talent, charisma and stylistic versatility that was, and will forever remain, unequaled, and was a class act. Add to that the fact that she was sweet - natured, and so incredibly humble - despite her great talent and the remarkable things she achieved through it - and you have the reasons why I've been a fan for so long, and always will be. It's the combination of the artist that she was, and the person that she was, in general, that make me love and admire her so much. I just know Selena is looking down, saying "All that fuss over ME"? She deserves every bit of it, and then some. She was the best, both professionally and personally, and there will never be another like her.

Selena was the embodiment of what you can do in this world if you really want something. She inspire this irish redhead to sing my heart out no matter who is looking or listening and I appreciate that every single day. I was still only a kid when she was taking away from us but I still continue to sing every single day because I didn't want to give up on it. And it landed me in a couple of cool places to sing in some cool venues because I stucked with singing and I sing every single day. So thankyou Selena for teaching me this important lesson. Thankyou to all of her family who help support her then and today, thankyou for sharing her with us. She will never be forgotten, ❤❤

I'm in tears over this news! That biopic about her was my introduction to Selena during my days in middle school. Music is powerful and still has that ability to carry on for decades among generation. Selena's no exception. I still have those few songs in my head. I was 8 years old when selena passed. I love her song even though im not speaking spanish.. my sister and i used to sing her song “dreaming of you” since we were kid and yet we didnt even know that singer of that song “selena” was gone for many years! Last 2019 i just found out that she pass 1995 and i feel so sad and hurt by knowing that so i started to watch selena movie and watching all her videos i have been fascinated about her and also do some research about her😭😭😘😘 i love her so much and I admired her alot rip my love and congratulations u deserved it!
