I got the dual arb compressor and a 1 gallon air tank and the bracket I got holds both the tank and the compressor for the same passenger side location
Thank you for going into detail on the wiring- it really saved my install. Seems like all the other folks doing install videos have s-pod units and they don't explain what each wire does.
@@DigginSoCalOutdoorAdventures I got an issue myself. I see you put two fuses onto the adapter... my compressor isn’t turning on. Could it be that I need both fuses per adapter?
@@edgardorodriguez1314 You do need two 10 amp mini fuses in the ignition fuse location where you connect the red/yellow wire or it will not turn on. The 5 amp is only for the switch light.
One of the more helpful install videos ive watched. Interested in seeing how you managed the wires aling firewall and up to battery. Planning on doing this install in the next week or so! Solid video!
appreciate the video, I know its been awhile, but in case you havent found solution for interior fuse box cover, Meso Custom sells one just for that scenario, probably have to set a notification for inventory, but its perfect
I am pleased I was able to help. I am going camping at the end of the month and will probably post a video of it being used along with a few other things. Cheers
I had a really hard time too... it is the most difficult part of the install... I can try and take some photos of it if you want to send me an email....you can reach me at bill@digginsocal.com
One wire is for the switch light and the other is for the compressor to know your ignition is on. I could not get it to work without the one wire going to the ignition fuse under the dash. I am not sure if there is a way to bypass that and wire it into the main fuse box under the hood.
I saw that. I should have been more specific. I was originally going to purchase the VIAIR 400P. In all fairness, I think either product mounted would be a good choice.
I really appreciate your post. I will be installing a duel arb and the one thing I was worried about was the wiring process. If I Dont have a dremel tool can I hand sand the panel to fit the switch? Or sand the switch to fit the panel?
Fuse adapters do not come with the kit. I first went to an auto parts store and bought some only to find out the fuses I grew up with were to big. The ones for the tacoma are small and I bought them on Amazon.

I did a lot of research and Saw many locations people have installed a compressor. I went under the hood for a couple reasons. I felt it was the best place when considering the wiring and it was a good location that I could easily reach. Other locations for me were up by the radiator or in the bed in the cut out compartment. I chose not to put it in the bed due to difficulty accessing it when the bed was packed up. I saw a truck with it under the bed and it was covered in dirt/mud. Also, his was more difficult to reach. In conclusion...it could technically be installed anywhere.
Simplest and best ARB wiring explanation on UA-cam for those not running air lockers. Thanks!

I normally don’t comment on install videos but this one was short and to the point. I will be using as a reference when my arb arrives. Thanks

Sweet. I am glad I could help. Initially, the fuse wires were a challenge. But, figured it out! Thank you very much for the comment.

love the video, but where did you end up putting the relay at?
Thank you... I zip tied it to the wire harness directly behind it and it has been good to go.

How much should the t-connector be tightened? 🤔I don’t want to over tighten it.
Actually this was my first and only time I have ever done this so I just went by feel. I don't have any specs on how much torque to use. sorry
