Scenic Cycling: Exploring Folsom's Lake Natoma Bike Trail
Come along as we ride the eleven mile loop around the *Lake Natoma trail* in Folsom California. The trail is a great place to ride a bicycle, walk, or run. There are lots of places to stop and enjoy the scenery!
This is a safe place to ride considering how dangerous streets are for bicyclists these days! There are so many things to see including a wide variety of wildlife (birds, deer, etc).

    recently bought rail 9.8 gx axs gen 4 on sale for 6800 dollar. Holly shit what a bike this is. I have a gen 5 2022 Slash 9.8 xt also. Rail is less slacker than Slash, but rail riding is way more fun. I have ridden several specialized ebikes, YT decoy 4 also tried some other ebikes. I have not ridden anything as stable as a rail. The motor is an animal and the bike is so smooth and stable. Its almost like its gliding on the trails. You def got imo best ebike out there. It might be slightly more expensive than other bikes due to brand name, but still a menace of a bike. Also the design of the bike just spectacular. Whatever they say about Trek. Imo no other brand can make bikes look as sexy as Trek. I cant even count how many times people comment the looks of the bike, random kids cheering on the streets. Its a special bike. I was hesitant of buying because it was 10k bike and i payed 7k of it and i actually never tried the bike before buying. When i picked the bike, after 10 mins of riding my way home all the remorse was gone. Now two months later, i cant even describe how much fun it was.

    • @DigginSoCalOutdoorAdventures
      @DigginSoCalOutdoorAdventures 2 місяці тому

      Love your comment. I have not been on a bike since I was way younger. My brother is really into bikes and after some research I made this choice and it did not disappoint. I think I got it on sale for just under 6K which I never thought I would spend on a bike. I thought I would not get much exercise with an ebike but it is not like the cheap ones that propel you. You do have to work and can work hard or a little less which I like. I do try and switch it up for a better workout and when I am beat, crank up the power a bit. I did have a nice fall but I was trying a climb I had no business doing and have a nice scar for my efforts...lol. thank you very much

    • @Stockfish1511
      @Stockfish1511 2 місяці тому

      @@DigginSoCalOutdoorAdventures Tbh i never had any issue with work output. Your legs work less, but your upperbody works way more because the bike is heavier. Also the fact that you will probably ride an ebike way longer makes up. I love my slash on downhill, but on flat trails with jumps etc, my legs are dead after an hour or two. On rail you can go for hours. Forexample today i had 70 kilomter on my rail. My record on my slash is about 45 km and my legs were absolutely destroyed after that cramping and all. Also i can say one thing after about 2-3 months now on my rail i think the nervous systems changes and your perception adapts to the ebike motor. I picked the slash after like 2 months on rail and it felt superweird. It felt like i was riding while the breaks are on, its felt so tough to pedal. It was terrible feeling. I did some research and turns out its not legs that are weaker. But the perception and nervous system. My body adapted to the ebike and my brain expects way more speed from the amount effort i put in. Its really weird to describe. Try manual aftrer two months on rail and you will feel it. I will probably keep slash most for bikepark and downhill riding. Other than that, on just every day casual riding etc. Rail is on another level. My only issue with the bike is that the motor is restricted to 25 km/h in my country. I kinda wish it was like 35. 25km limit feels pretty slow on road riding. There is the delimiter option, but im afraid ill lose warranty

    I just made my rice packet. Not only did I have to lower the heat, I added 3/4 cup extra water so all of the liquid didn’t cook out before the rice was done, but I also had to let it sit for about 20-30 minutes for the rice to fully cook and absorb all the liquid. Once it’s FULLY cooked, it’s good to taste. No additional flavoring needed. This is processed food, NOT freeze-dried. You’ll eat it as survival nothing else to eat , but know if you have to eat this in a non- emergency scenario but just needing food to feed the fam, cook low and slow. I made the Mac n cheese as well. REMEMBER- low and slow, lol.

    UPDATE: The L Line (the original Gold Line) no longer exists with the Regional Connector tunnel in Downtown LA open since June 2023. The East LA portion of the former L Line is now part of the E Line (formerly the Expo/Aqua Line), with the L Line's gold color assigned to the E Line. The LA Union Station, Pasadena, and San Gabriel Valley portion of the former L Line is now part of the A Line (formerly the Blue Line), making it the longest light rail line in the USA. That also finally achieved LA Metro's vision of the Pasadena Blue Line from the 1990's.
