To anyone who's gonna have a chance to listen to this piece live - do it. You may be left stunned, but it's worth it. It's literally paralysing.

      That’s a very true statement
I had a come to Jesus moment a few months ago when I heard probably the most stellar wind ensemble performance of all time

Epic. He kissed the score at the end. That is true reverence to Respighi.

La migliore versione mai ascoltata. Noseda ha dato un senso musicale ad ogni singolo elemento.

I've listened to many renditions of this piece, this is my absolute fave. Critical tuning and a conductor who presents this as an homage to it's composer. Pretty damn good sound engineering too.

University of Texas Austin wind ensemble just knocked it out of the park this past Friday with the Cavaliers drum and bugle corps (some members) as their antiphonal brass during the Appian Way movement. Such an inspiring performance.

Apart from an impeccable opera conductor, mtro. Noseda is also an expert of the italian symphonic repertory. Bravi tutti.
N.B. I would like to add the last part of the work, the 4th. "I pini di Via Appia".

Краски получились лучше, чем массивность. Первые три части шедевральны, четвертой не хватило грандиозности.

imo too lethargic. Do yourself a favor and listen to Toscanini doing this, its mono, but the excitement... oh!
