I had an Ironman bought in 1994 that lasted over a decade. User friendly, aesthetic, comfortable. Great watch, extremely durable, got me through basic training and any environment or mistake I made. About to buy another.
Timex all day…everyday. Timex digital watches are no nonsense screen displays and the numerals are almost three times the size of the g-shock. For my everyday needs…Timex win this one ✌🏼
Hawk 158. You're not wrong. I love g-shocks but if asked me which one i wear more ? I would say the Timex hands down. Its not even close. In a given year I say the casios get 30 accumilated days time. Maybe less. The Timex gets the other 335 days of the year! Like I said not even close. 😂 I appreciate you stopping by to comment. My vids have gotten a little better since I shot this one and I have gotten more relaxed and crazier! Lol. Just check this one out among others. 😆 subscribe if you like them. 500 subscriber giveaway soon to come. Thanks my friend ua-cam.com/video/Rr2aOVPc8A0/v-deo.html
in the Army I found that the medium sized Timex was the most comfortable. I wore them till the battery died then got another one 6-8 years later. Never broke one.
Absolutely. Timex make great watches. People argue that Casio G shock are better. I agree but then I hear stories like yours and then second guess my position. I really think they are too close to call. 😂
Loved the review!!! The Ironman was a “grail” for me as a kid, lol. I don’t have one now, but this is making me think of grabbing one. Luv the G-Shocks tho I don’t own many. Hopefully as my collection grows I’ll be able to grab some G-Shocks, tho I know that’s a huge 🐇 🕳 in itself!!! Keep em comin Sensei!!!
Both awesome, I always had Timex Ironmans as a kid over Casio... now im an adult I own 3 soon to be 4 GShocks....I did buy the ironman as a nostalgic trip... I would say as a clumsy kid the Timex never let me down but the straps did
Great video. I own each and they are great watches. As far as water resistance goes I think 100 meters is enough for daily wear and most water activities. If I were to go diving I would use one of my automatic dive watches.
Unscratched Ironman crystal for 20 years due to recessed design. And a smaller watch than Casio for us thin wrist guys. Will buy another Ironman manly due to wearing out the band.
Tried G-Shock but Timex has better display, better buttons, I prefer it, I have a five year old Expedition digital, still on original battery, great display.
The Timex looks so much nicer. I have a newer Timex Ironman unfortunately it's leaking moisture into the case, if i take a shower with it or get it wet washing my hands. :(
I have 7 g shocks love them, but timex will soon join the party. As a 80’s kid, I have a thing for digi watches. They get more wrist time then my iwatch or my automatics watches.
you totally forgot that Timex has night-light on the indiglo, which casio doesn't have at all. that makes it 7 vs 10, or maybe 8 vs 10. also, the factory casio strap has those annoying warbles near the lug, whereas timex flows around the wrist.
Warbles near the lug would be subjective depending on the wrist size. I don't feel any discomfort from the Casio g shock or I definitely would have mentioned it believe me. They aren't paying me to be nice. 😂 and as far as the Indiglo I did give it a 10 which is the very best I could give it because I believe it is well deserved. I see that you too are a Timex fan. 👍 I appreciate the input Greg. It helps keep me informed on what viewers are searching for as far as information is concerned. Your night light comment is spot on as well. I don't know how many times I've gotten up in the middle of the night and hit the Indiglo button for instant (flashlight)!!! Haha
@@WINDINGCROWNS the night-light feature i was intending (and maybe it's called something else) is when you press-n-hold the indiglo for 5 seconds, a moon icon shows up and then for the next 8hrs (all night) ANY button press also triggers the indiglo and yeah, casio is better value and more budget options, but i prefer timex for functions and comfort and display layout. and my fav is a timex expedition shock which displays both the day and month in 3-letter-words (SAT MAY 8 instead of SA 5-08)
@@gregr1154 wow!!!! That is a feature that I wasn't privy to. You just taught me something and to the others who will watch this vid in the future. That is why I always ask the viewers to leave comments. That what I like about this hobby. No matter how long you're in it. Always more to learn. 👍Greg, please subscribe if you haven't already.
@@WINDINGCROWNS one other feature that some (but not all) ironman watches have is an interval timer (in place of occasion timers that most current ironmans have), which is great for people into HIIT sessions, so you can set a 30sec+10sec loop. the occasion timers are "ok" but the intervals version is worth seeking out!
@@gregr1154 I did not know that either. Interesting info. I believe that feature is very good since alot of guys that use iron man watches use them when doing rigorous activities.
I mean, not to sound like a Timex fanboy, but you also didn't mention any of the actual functionality of either watch. Something which, IMO sets the Timex apart for the win. Unless you're in the military.
Yes agreed. This vid was shot early on when I first started the channel. Now I am trying to get more specs in the vids. Slowly getting my rhythm. Thank you much for watching and the input. 🙏
A comment, I have an Ironman watch have had for several years, alarm not working, contacted Timex, and their repair service is not taking repairs and have not for months. They dont service their watches now. Casio is a much better choice, I will never buy another Timex, have had a number of their Ironman watches, often their bands are difficult or out of stock to order. Thumbs down on Timex and Ironman, go with Casio, military grade is the best, and they will always repair your watch. My comments, thanks for your review.
LMAO Casio's customer "service" is just as piss poor as Timex's. The watches will run forever, the problems are usually the straps which wil tear after a few years.
I swear by my g shock. The wife swears by her ironman. I will say there is one thing you didn't compare. Though you did a very good job doing so. Price. G shocks are $100+ where you can get an ironman nowadays for under $30.
You are absolutely correct. Good point! And sometimes that is the big deciding factor for some people when choosing which to buy. Thanks for the input and for watching. Dont forget to subscribe😂 new vid drops tomorrow!
Extremely misleading information. This is Casio DW-5600E-1V. The price is around 40$ but can be found at 25-30$ on discounts. The GWM5610-1 is 100$+ and its way superior over 5600E due to solar power and multiband + some other difference. This Timex is T5K417 WX and is set at 40$.
@@TheMutefy I have never ever been lucky enough to get a 5600e that cheap. 😂 I always get them for 40 plus dollars. Nice that you found them cheaper though👍 I gladly pay the $40-45 I am not patient enough to wait until they go on sale. 😂 As far as a 5610. Your are right way more money. I have had one before and paid a little over 100. That's why I did not compare the timex to a 5610. The 5600 and timex are close enough in price for a good comparison. Thanks for the input. 👍

Have bad eyes or something? Even with my own presbyopia, I have no problems reading Casio watches.
I’m a huge G-Shock fan, however, as a runner 🏃, I opt for the Timex Iron Man 👍🏻.
The Iron man is a great choice. You can't go wrong with either. Both durable and keep perfect time. Thanks for watching. 👍

Just came through from your IG when I saw the Ironman was an immediate click. Good to see the random rob mug too 👍
Awesome thanks for subbing. I did the same on both IG and YT. 😁👍

Nice 👍🏼 review, I also chose the Casio ⌚️
Can't go wrong with either watch. Both great watches. I like both for different reasons. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for watching. I agree 100 meter is enough. 🏊
Which one would be better for casual daily use, the Timex Ironman Triathlon Flix Reissue or the Casio WS-1300H-1AV? Any clarification on it, please?
Both are great. That Casio has a 10yr battery life. The Iron man is also a great choice. I like both. The retro styling of the Timex gets the win
Mineral glass usually falls in from a 5 to 7 on mohs hardness scale. Probably a better metric since it’s comparable.
👍👍👍👍👍👍
@WINDINGCROWNS Glad to have found your channel and please keep making the vids. The information will always help someone.

Like both 🤩
I agree both great watches
Great review

Wow. I'm sorry to hear that. It should definitely not do that. Can you return it?
There is an Iroman that is 200m water resistant, but hard to find. The timex ironman shock t5k584
Wow. I didnt know that. Thanks for the info. I will research it. 🙏👍
