His reaction is fucking amazing because he's a metal fan hearing the roots of all modern Metal ahahah, ONE of the best songs ever by the best band ever!!
Doesn't really matter for us, we (well, most of us anyway) already know the song. However, for your own enjoyment it would be good to use some proper speakers.
Metallica is one of the best bands that ever was and is , I love these guys and have been a fan since before you guys were born , 1986 !!! When these guys were younger they were beast and they still kick butt !!!! Thanks for checking them out !!!
I got to see them live about 6-7 years ago. My dad took me (i was 25) and holy s*** i seen this song live abd always was a huge fan of it from the day my dad played it when i was a kid. Core memories for me. Awesome to see young men like yourselves love metal 🤘
I really enjoyed your reaction. The look on that one guys face was priceless. BTW, I think if you guys wear headphones or earbuds improves sound quality for your viewers.
Thank u very much! :) we’re trying to figure out how to connect 2 Bluetooth devices to one laptop at the moment to try and solve this issue however there are a few videos pre recorded so it will take a couple weeks to notice a difference 👍
As a Gen Xer, I take for granted living through this whole metal era. Soooo glad I got to be a part of it. If you like metallica and you haven't listened to "Master of Puppets", "Ride the Lightning" and "And Justice for All", you owe it to yourself to give them a listen. I don't know how someone can claim to be a metal head and not know Metallica intimately.
I would’ve loved to have grown up in that era but here we are haha. Listened to all of MoP and a fair amount of those others now. I know quaid has better Metallica knowledge than me tho :)
Seattle 89 (the tour for this album) is metallica at their live peak. The moscow concert is more famous due to the size of the crowd but Seattle is epic for the performance
Im sorry man respect to you but I gotta draw the line somewhere. The first 5 metallica is required listening to call yourself a metal head. You may have enjoyed some metal before this moment but if you havent heard the band that literally defines the genre you are not metalhead bro. You got some homework brother.
5:31 drum kicks and guitar riff displays artillery shells explosions and machinegun fire. When I heard this song on live show, had goosebumps everywhere, specialy when second part kicked in
Hi boys. (english is not my first language, so mayble I make some mistakes, excuse me) I watched your reaction and inmediatly I remember when I discovered MEtallica back in 1985 (I was 15 years old) probably like you, and I reacted mostly like Lewis; I felt my mind blow away that day. I remember the first song I heard from them, it was Motorbreath (actualy it was a copuple of songs from a new band from San Francisco... That's was how Dj introduce this songs) the other one was The four horsemen; So I would be excited to see how a today boy react to that song (or both songs if its posible). A big hug from Medellin Colombia.
The solo is actually really easy to play and in fact it was the first guitar solo I ever learned. But because the tapping part in the beginning probably sounds quite difficult to those who don't play guitar themselves it was a great way to show off your new skills 😂
It kicks ass to see young people who have been fed monotone formulaic aural crap most of their lives exposed to some of the stuff I grew up with in the 80's and 90's. You can literally see the effects of their neural pathways being blasted wide open as they hear it for the first time! It brightens my day every time I see another such exposure, because it has been so sad to see rock music shoved to the side in favor of autotune junk for the most part over the last 20 years. I'm not going to say that somebody isn't still making good rock music in 2024, but they aren't getting the promotion the genre deserves. These chaps need to check out the "Enter Sandman" video from the Monsters of Rock tour in Moscow from I think 1991 or 1994 or some time in there - you'll see 1.5 Million people rocking out and Russian military helicopters flying over the venue at treetop level. It's an effing awesome visual to match the incredible stage performance.
You guys should get around to some of their live stuff, particularly anything from the Seattle '89 show. It was filmed during what was arguably their prime playing years. The Justice album is my favorite from them. Something about their guitar tone on it drew me in completely. When it came out, i was just in middle school (6th ot 7th grade). This was the one that got me into metal. Then the Black album came out while i was in high school, and absolutely everyone i knew had a copy. Back then, it felt like Metallica and G-n-R actually ruled the world for a few years. Almost everyone my age was listening to them. It was amazing for bands that got no radio play at the time. All we had was MTV, and they actually played mostly music videos back then.
To not react to the official music video with the additional layer and context given by the footage from the movie Johnny got his gun imo is a wasted opportunity, though. It's giving this master piece so much more depth, to a degree it becomes devastating. Even the drums and guitars hit harder... Hope you showed him in the meanwhile :o) ...plus it lets the song appear less long, as it's telling a whole story, even if one doesn't understand the lyrics of the song immediately - the meaning is punched into your face anyway. And while it's one of my all time fav guitar solos I have to admit when finding Ultima Hypocrita by Mental Cruelty with Yo Onityan's solo at the end I'm not quite sure I can still call it my number one... but actually too different to compare.
You're modern metal heads right, I suggest Checking out Tremonti: "Throw them to the lions" is a good start. He's the lead guitarist from Alter Bridge. I'd also recommend you review Alter Bridge: Sin after Sin. The rift is Godlike
It took me thirty years to realize my current opinion of the heaviest, nastiest riffing song that Metallica has produced, and that would be Leper Messiah. Might you give this one a listen?
I’ve barely delved into Metallica but I have heard that song!! The whole master of puppets album is my fav at the moment and that’s one of the best songs on it imo :)
if you are gonna do lives do lyric vid of the same song . as it was in real life back then.. hits diferent when you know the song and you miss the performance to complete the 'stage'..
Hello, please react to the song EVOLVE by the band The Warning, there are 3 sisters Daniela (guitar, lead vocals), Paulina (drums, vocals, piano) and Alejandra Villarreal (bass, piano, backing vocals) from Mexico and they started to playing since they were little thanks to the game Rock Band and went viral after covering the song Enter Sandman by Metallica and Kirk Hammett shared it on his social networks... later they made their own version of Enter Sandman and participated in the Blacklist album, today they have They are all of legal age and have already released 3 albums and are coming up with the fourth one soon.
Exodus is another classic thrash band! Can recommend anything off of Tempo of the Damned, along with the song The Toxic Waltz, among a few others I can't remember. A couple of Metallica's riffs were brought over from Exodus actually, since Kirk Hammet (Metallica's lead guitarist) used to be in Exodus pre-Metallica!
Greeting Guys!! New subscriber here :) Today, I'd love to suggest a new song entitled "Dissociation", from the French Canadian Death/Classical Metal project named "Disorientation". This is a lyric video*
Old metal was distinctive! Nothing sounded the same. Unlike much of today’s metal.
His reaction is fucking amazing because he's a metal fan hearing the roots of all modern Metal ahahah, ONE of the best songs ever by the best band ever!!
Creeping Death live Moscow 1991!!!! It is a must see.
I do apologise for audio quality, we are looking into it :)
It wasn’t that bad.
Thank you bc its bad.. lol Metallica deserves WAY better! xo
Doesn't really matter for us, we (well, most of us anyway) already know the song. However, for your own enjoyment it would be good to use some proper speakers.
Dude I remember having this reaction as well like 30 years ago.. 😂 that was rad to see 🤘
Nice one! 🤣 glad u enjoyed!! 🤘
Same to me. About 30 years ago :) It was so fun to see this reaction. I would also recomend "For Whom the Bell Tolls"

Pantera - A New Level
Been meaning to get more into pantera! Thanks for the suggestion! :)
9:38 I would recommend "Disposable Heroes" if you want to get into the heavy sh*t.

Awesome reaction I think y’all would love to react to creeping death live in Moscow by Metallica
Ooo that sounds really cool! We’ll bear that in mind!! Thanks so much for the feedback! :))
FUCKING SLAYER!
some songs n bands so good that if y made a video about are bound to get views in all formats! :)
Love this tbh!
You need to watch the Video. It will give you the full effect!

Metallica: Masters Of Transitions.
Watch the official video next time around...
I reckon you should try the video version
The ending of this song makes me want to drive 150 mph.
I feel that 🤣🤣

Could y’all react to blackened? Its from the same album as One and its really good
We have done the recording for that song and it’ll be released within the next couple of weeks so stay tuned ;)
Harvester of Sorrow makes this sound like Joan Baez.
Damage incorporated or disposable heroes(someone mentioned below) for the heavy. but my fav is For whom the bell tolls.

The music video does visually what the song does sonically.
You really don't need the video to get the feel of this song. Really, most of Metallica's stuff was like that.
The best song on that album is Harvester Of Sorrow, do that one next.
Eye of the Beholder too.

We’ve both seen that and it’s one of the coolest things we’ve seen!!!

You HAVE to show him the live performance from the Grammys of this song. That they didnt win the grammy that year is criminal
