I love this -- I hang actual eucalyptus bouquet upside down on my shower rod. With the hot water, it helps the smell infuse AND I get that green plant visual that makes my bath feel spa like.
Love this channel. Just found you and am now subscribed THANKS!

I have to shower before bed AND in the morning. Otherwise, I feel gross. I love a clean bed, and I love feeling energized and fresh during the day. Luckily, I've mastered the 5-minute shower, so I'm not wasting water.
Thank you for the spa-bathroom tips, Melissa! Love it and love you!

A bath tub tray that sit across the tub. It holds my iPad and wine and is perfect for a relaxing. Also I find lighting is key, candles or a salt lamp can transform the washroom into a place of luxury very easily.

We have a Spa at my Tribal Hotel near my Indian Reservation but it disappointed me that they didnt incorporate tradition so this is what I have done in my bathroom: Cedar bowes, dried them, use them for decor and fragrance. Use Cedar Scentsy blocks in my lightplug warmer. I have a metal 3 tin assembly from the picnic line at Walmart. I used tape to cover small holes on bottom of buckets but one has epsom salts and wood scooper, another has pain relief bath rememdies and the third has my favorite body mud masks and facial masks. I keep a $1 Tree back scratcher and $5 dry body brush on hooks. I use a eucalyptus oil spritzer because it steams better than drops. Hope this helps♡ Loved the vid

I like showering before bed. I couldn't go to sleep comfortably if I didnt shower after sweating all day! Keeping everything you don't use hidden and just having a bare, label free/label hidden, white, bathroom with a few plants is how I keep the bathroom spa like!

Many of the beneficial herbs that are commonly used are extremely easy to grow. I have a mint container garden, and I also grow calendula, chamomile, lemon verbena, and many other herbs. Before taking a bath, I usually go pick some of these herbs, along with some rose petals, and toss them in the bath. I also add some baking soda, epsom salt, and several drops of my favorite essential oils. Seeing the leaves and petals floating in my bath water makes me feel like I am at a plush spa, and it smells AMAZING!!! If I am really needing to relax, I also light a candle or two. The ambiance is simply marvelous!

I'll shower at night and sometimes right after work, just because of the nature of my job, which is outdoors. Haven't made a spa in a long time, but this sounds tempting! The other thing I'd put in a spa are candles. I love plants, flowers and bamboo. I'd aim for a very tropical decor in my bathroom, versus the more modern spa setting. I also like smooth jazz to listen to. Thanks for the bath scent ideas! I like them!

I decorated my master bath in a spa decor as well. I use neutral sand colors and neutral sea shell art with turquoise elements as an accent color. My garden tub has candles and basket full of body scrubs, bath bombs, and bath salts, along with eucalyptus candles and a Buddha statue that's also a candle holder. I play classic jazz tunes when I take my baths which is only weekly as I'm more of a shower person during the week. My weekend baths are a treat I look forward to.

My husband and I don't go to a spa locally, but we took a trip to Jeju Spa and Sauna in Atlanta, GA and loved it. I am a huge fan of public bath houses. I like evening showers because I want to be able to lay around afterwards without having to go anywhere, like work.

Love your videos! I'm an evening shower'er! It relaxes me before bed. I have a spa-like bathroom with candles, hand-made scrubs and bath oils, along with playing soft music while having a warm bath. I use all white towels along with spa looking bath mats. I also place the soap bars in a beautiful basket as they're smelling great along with enjoying the beauty of their colors and shapes.

I like having a pitcher of cold cucumber/mint or lemon water or a small cup of green or jasmine hot tea. I like things that remind me of nature at the spa. Bamboo, reeds, leaves and cedar all are perfect in a spa bathroom. A towel warmer is very nice. You can buy a free standing on at Bed Bath and Beyond. They make getting out of a shower so much nicer. Finally, you can make your own body salts and body scrubs. They are so good for your skin.

I just built our master bath in our new house. I found a shower tower (the ones with a rain fall shower head and multiple sprayers to your body) for about $200 at home Depot. They sell similar ones on Amazon that retrofit to existing shower head and handle combos for about $130.
I also got a bluetooth speaker, bath fan, light combo fixture from home Depot, about $60. It has a blue led nightlight that's so soothing and i can play spa music in the shower and have the fan running quietly.
    I love it!
Also, i have a bath tray for putting your phone, book, or wine glass on.
And of course, comfy towels are a must. My dad bought me new towels when we bought our house 5 years ago, they are frontgate.com resort towels and they are amazing!! Still super fluffy and soft 5 years later.

@cleanmyspace I love to start out by clipping and filing my nails, taking nail polish off and scrubbing my feet really good so they're nice and soft. Then I like to use my personal microdermabrasion device on my face after I cleaned it. I take my hair and put a deep conditioning mask in it and clip it up while the bath water is running. Toss in the bath bomb and light some candles.. turn on spa music, and pour a nice tall glass of infused ice water to drink in the hot bath. I a moisturizing soothing mask on my face and wrap my hair in a plastic bag to keep all the heat around my hair. This helps the conditioner to work really well. When I am done with the bath, I like to rinse with cooler water to get my circulation going after I wash off the masks of course. Get out and moisturize! (; (except the feet) then I dip my hands and feet in hot paraffin wax, and hang out for a while to let that do it's thing. Take off the wax to reveal super soft hands and feet, moisturize, and turn on Netflix haha.

I love making essential oil shower disc and adding oils that fits my mood. Also I love making my own E.O. cologne using Edens Garden "Tobacco and Patchouli" synergy blend and spray it on towels and bath robes which makes them smell super luxurious-In the 18th & 19th century the finest furs and silks from the mid- east were wrapped in Patchouli leaves (to ward away bugs) and the rich verified its authenticity by the presence of the Patchouli smell, one if the reasons why I chose that blend besides it smelling absolutely divine. If you haven't noticed I'm obsessed with EO's lol. To add to the spa- like experience I make my own anti-age serums using rosehip seed carrier oil with luscious Blue Tansy (the start of the show is amazing for skin), Frankincense Frereana, Frankincense Carteri, Geranium, Lavender Fine- they make your skin feel and look perfect. Then my Blue Tansy body lotion that has that, Ho Wood, & Sweet Orange it smells amazing and works even better. If any one has questions on how to make all your own home & body products just hit me up I would be happy to help!

Hi Melissa and Chad, and everyone else. I've been watching for a long time but a new subscriber!
I have a few tips for the spa touch.
I love the EO diffusers! Mine was an amazon purchase, less than 20 dollars. There are many that are just alike with different brand names.
I shower various times of day for CLEANING myself, and I bathe usually only at night or on a weekend when I have time to really relax. I put the laptop on the toilet seat and watch Netflix so I can keep my fidgets under control and enjoy the water. I love the spa music, too. I like to listen to anything acoustic.
I have epsom salts in a cereal keeper. Sometimes I mix them with baking soda, usually not. I also often scent them. I have a growing collection of essential oils. You might also try your hand at your own melt and pour soap or making your own soap, face masks, and hair goodies, even your own toothpaste! There are a lot of common ingredients between these kind of products.
My fav scent for spa freshness started with mixing my Dr. Bronner soaps but now I do it with my EOs as well. It starts with eucalyptus, then add lavender and sweet orange...you will want to fiddle with the proportions until it's right for you but I kind of like them in equal parts. They are beautiful together and you can also improvise a little...substitute different citrus oils, or swap out the eucalyptus for tea tree or any form of mint. Cleaning your home with any good quality castile soap is a great way to infuse my whole house (not just the bathroom) with spa-quality scent. In fact, I will step on out there and say you want to use those natural scents in your home or you might never really get that spa freshness you are looking for. Stay away from commercial, synthetic scented cleaners and laundry products, and toiletries and cosmetics. In time your home will take on a fresher smell without them.
I agree with your tip about staying organized and I also separate my stuff...everyday stuff is in reach in a basket. Overflow or lesser often stuff is in the cabinet. I have a very minimalist routine.
If you were going to replace your shower head you might want to get one with LED mood lighting, and/or a speaker built in.
For your tub...they have this thingy that you can buy that goes over your drain latch (where the tub starts to drain) and gives you a few more inches of water if your tub isn't very deep.
Thanks for all the videos! I'm a big fan. I watch them one after the other sometimes!

First, your hair, makeup, and top are GORGEOUS! Loved your tips! I have a basket with products I only use for my special "spa" baths. I save those little bottles of shampoo and conditioner I get from hotels and keep them in it for my spa. I have very oily skin, so I mix bentonite clay with water and use it as a mask. I use Epsom salts and homemade bubble bath (search for that on vasseurbeauty's chanel). And I too use a diffuser with lavender and play Julie True's soaking music on my phone. (Gee, I'm long winded, lol!)

I love spas too! I replicate it in similar ways you do, but the other thing is to dim the lights. Spas are always ambient and dim with the lighting. When I need extra relaxation, I turn off all the bright lights, light a few candles, draw a very hot bath, and fill it with yummy scents. An eye pillow is nice too if you have a place to rest your head in the bath.
And I shower at night b/c I like to 'wash my day off'. It helps me transition to being home, and since I'm not a morning person, it allows me to sleep in a little longer!

I prefer making a bath soak instead of bath bombs. It has the same dry ingredients plus essential oils and I store it in a pretty container on the sided of the tub. I have a little wooden scoop and just put a scoop or two in the bath. I love my jetted tub!! I always soak for a little bit and then turn on the jets. Low lights or candles, my diffuser and my YT calm music playlist. When I get out, I apply my homemade body butter. Might have to have spa night tonight!! Thanks for the idea!!

Peeling labels on products on the counter or in the shower, it makes them look so classy and elegant. Shampoos, Face Wash...even hand soap. Epsom Salt is a natural muscle relaxer and add a few drops of oil direct to the water makes it good to go without making the bombs. Only areas with hard water need baking soda (ph 8.3) and the citric acid is just for fizz. While you are at the big box store getting go shower sprays--pick up some amazing towels--they have great prices. Candles too. Store razors away from moisture to make them last. I love hotel style bath mats which you can bleach weekly and replace cheaply.

In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I’ll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1,000 now. After I remove the ice pack, I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water-activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face, an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm, followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.
You mentioned music. "Do you like Huey Lewis and the News? Lol

Showering at bedtime. I don't like slipping between the sheets with dirty skin. Especially since I live in the steamy hot south.

I really love this channel and Rachel Talbott for good spa ideas. But when i want a bath i take it at night with my hair in a claw/clip. However i shower in the morning, I have fine/ oily hair. in order to do any thing with it, morning showers for me.

Music, epsom salts and I use a small beaker, put a little epsom salts in and add essential oils and almond oil, mix it up and add to my bath after its run. I prefer to shower or bathe in the evening, I don't like the idea of a days dirt on me getting in the bed!!

I like to shower in the morning to start my day off. I love to go to the spa too. I also try and have a massage once a month. A facial once a quarter.

what kind of towels do you have... they look AMAZING! Also, what kind of bath mat do you recommend? The ventilation in my tiny bathrooms is not good at all, and I always worry about mold & mildew and the damp/wet mat doing more harm than good.
any take on the super plush comfy memory foam kind?
