It's a Great Motherboard. I'm using it. The bios , Software , Thermal And Dedicated 10 Phase VRM with Quality Component's make this Board very unique. No dought it's Capable of Handling Ryzen 9 5900x overclocked With ease. Also there is lot of Connectivity. I'm happy with this Board. Absolutely no Regret that I didn't own an expensive X570 Board .
@@bigsam9987 no. By Default it had bios ver 2403. and according to website info inwas more than updated for Ryzen 5900x. So No. Just Install the Cpu And cooler then your are good to go with windows installation.

Just a word of warning. My backplate had a flaw where the hole for the flashback button was not lining up properly with the button. It activated the flashback causing a boot delay. Solution is to make the hole wider. Noticed others had this problem.
I just built and the flashback button was on I was able to get the button to align after a bit - make sure that the button does not get stuck behind the plate At first I could not get to post but after I turned the power supply off and turn it back on it's all good. I installed the 5600g which is awesome with a 3060 founders edition
hey man just got this mobo for new build. first build, i feel like the only thing I'm going to struggle w the most is the Wi-Fi side of things, mine came with the antenna. do you know how that works getting the Wi-Fi setup? obv you gotta screw the antennas into the back panel. i have Wi-Fi at home but then will it find it automatically or how does that work thanks man
Thanks for the video! I just got this motherboard for a steal on amazon for 118! Right afte I ordered it went back to 169.99. I am building a new pc and I am just waiting on my case to arrive. Did you have any issues updating the bios? I have to upgrade the bios before I install anything else; I saw there that there is a beta firmware but decided to go with the one just before it. That is because it is a beta firmware and not the final version. Im going to continue watching the build process and I am going to subscribe! Thank you so much for the video! I haven't upgraded my pc for 8 years now other than the GPU and RAM haha

I haven't had issues updating the firmware, though does take over 5min but it is what it is. I believe the Beta firmware is more related to being able to install Windows 11. Hello, if you have done all the installing of the mainboard and you press the ON button of the computer, does the bios view pop up or do you need to use a F COMMAND button just like a windows system? Thanks in advance!
I am left with the smaller of the 2 usb cables coming from the case. I cannot figure out where it goes. In this video it looks like it's plugged in down bottom left, but I am unable to locate it there
I have the ASUS TUF X570 Plus with Wi-Fi in a complete new case build. I bought the ASUS TUF B550 Plus Wi-Fi to put in my old computer for granddaughter and her kids to use. The Wi-Fi works great because the computer has to use their Wi-Fi where it is. I put 16 GB ram in it with the WD Black M.2 1 TB drive that reads around 5,000 mb/sec. I like that the B550 has the BIOS button so if there was a problem with the BIOS on board you can update it and then compatible with CPU etc. Didn't have any problems due to already compatible with AMD Ryzen 5 5600X CPU. Put Windows 11 Home on it and works great.
@@Marcelis I had to enable the Wi-Fi. The you have to go into settings to connect to your Wi-Fi. Once I did that it connects no problem. I upgraded my old computer for our granddaughter and her kids. The modem is in another room and Wi-Fi is only way to connect where the computer is at. I think the settings to enable using Windows 10 or 11 B are on right side of taskbar. Click there to view Wi-Fi and make sure enabled. Once the Wi-Fi icon is in the right side of taskbar double click it and use setting to join your network.
@@Marcelis You need to make sure Wi-Fi is enabled in Windows. Then click the Wi-Fi icon in the taskbar and connect to your Wi-Fi find the SSID name and select it and put in your password. You do have Internet at your home?
Hello Did you manage to use an equalizator on audio driver of this motherboard? i have the same model and realtek audio console doesn't let me configure a graphic equalizer for sepeakers
I'm not getting a video signal using the onboard HDMI port. Tried a new cable. Is it coming from the other display port? I've never used that cable before, so I wanted to ask before I bought one. Tried putting a GPU in and got no signal as well. Hard to test what I can't see. lol The board cycles through colors and ends on white. The manual says nothing about troubleshooting of course.
if you're seeing colors, something is wrong with the signals. Have you been able to try another kind of connection like DVI or DP cables? Also, the monitor you're using has no issue using HDMI with anything else, like a laptop?
@@Silent157 Appreciate the reply, but I slept on things, which is what I really should've done. It was either the power supply or the GPU I was using to test with. I was able to get it working with some spares I had. It's been 10+ years since I kept up with hardware, and I made a noob'ish error too. I completely forgot the 5600x (which I probably should've mentioned before) doesn't have ANY integrated graphics. That would have saved me some time and frustration. Everything seems to be running great with this combo. In fact, I have to adjust to the new build running so much better than I'm use to. It's a wonderful problem though. For the record, the board is handling 32gb of 3600 memory like a champ in case anybody wanders in like I did. Make sure to grab the software/drivers from ASUS as well. Oh and I have no clue if it needed it or not, but I did Flash the Bios (version 2803) while trying to figure out the issue (me) and that worked like a charm as well.

You're welcome and glad you found the video helpful. I very recently moved this CPU from one board to this one for purposes for the video, and there was already thermal paste under the heatsink itself, otherwise I would have cleaned it completely and reapplied.

Do you have Windows or another OS installed on one of the drives connected to your motherboard? If there are none, you will see this message, similar to my case since I didn't have any drives connected at the time.
Heard a similar issue from another comment regarding the back plate or related. Does it clearly not fit in, or just being difficult to be installed? I saw pictures of the case and it accepts these back plates.
@@Silent157 It seems like the cut out on the case is too big for the I/o shield, whenever I try to put all 4 corners into place it just falls right out
I built my pc with this and I can't get it to turn on. There is power to the motherboard because the rgb lights on the board are on. I have a ryzen 7 5700g cpu. Any ideas. Literally I hit the power button and nothing. I do have all the connections in the correct spot.
This motherboard can definitely support the 5800x CPU, though it may require a quick BIOS update to use it, and this can be applied even without a CPU installed. Also be sure your CPU cooler in mind can fit as well.
I Guarantee , You Can overclock Ryzen 9 5900x with ease and get a stable performance. And with Ryzen 7 5800x , no dough you'll be satisfied . Just go ahead and grab it.
If you're referring to the ones that stay on when the system is turned off, those likely can be changed or disabled using the Asus Aura software to choose which colors you would like. Let me know if for some reason that doesn't work for you though.
@@Silent157 I can use the Aura software to adjust my RAM RGB but my motherboard does not show up on it at all. Oh well, at least the RGB on the MOBO isn't too big or noticeable.
If i put in 16gb ram stick kingston beast is it taller than the top vram heatsink pls i need to know as if its shorter than it wont fit in my case cuz my aio is too thicc
Which memory are you using? Usually each RAM has their own software which controls the RGB, but many motherboard software also does it. You can download ASUS Aura and see if your memory is detected.

Is that a more recent BIOS to the one seen in the video? It's likely they updated it since this video was made. It's also possible the BIOS was updated to a less graphic friendly version too.

Not sure I understand your question here. Once you have all the hardware install, you can install your OS via a USB thumb drive or other storage options.

My one is the same board but non wifi . There No Difference at All except the WIFI .

I have the same mb and i actually cant enter bios with del and f2 key. I can only access it if i clear cmos. Does anyone else have the same problem?

What Wi-Fi card did you use for this motherboard since it doesn’t have integrated wifi?
I usually don't use WIFI on desktops, so did not use one in this case.

It is usually disabled by default. You can go into the BIOS and enable it there.

How do you set up the wifi?
ASUS motherboards usually have the WIFI disabled, so you can enable it in the BIOS. Then you can install the drivers for it.

You can definitely use a dedicated PCI-E sound card if you would like. There is an integrated one, but you can always disable it if you wish.

I think you should be able to completely turn off LED by tweaking sleep state setting. Those S4/S5 ErP thing.
