I'm getting a new ASUS board delivered tomorrow with a BIOS Flashback button on it and you just made the best easy to follow video I have seen about how to do that in the past week thanks for your time!!!!
Glad I could help!
Thanks!
Thank you so much for the support! Much appreciated. 😃👍👍
Very helpful video, thanks so much for the info! I have done this before, but is has been a while, so it is always nice to have a video to help refresh that data in your brain :)
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the info man. This video was very helpful. Keep them coming.
Thanks, will do!
.Getting a new ASUS motherboard delivered in a couple of days. I've been watching instructional videos on UA-cam, and this one was the clearest and most up-to-date.
Awesome! Glad I could help.
Thank you so much for explaining this well! I originally was watching someone else show how and their directions almost made me ruin my Motherboard.
I'm happy to hear my explanation was helpful and clear!
Just flashes my motherboard ready for my build tomorrow thankyou 🙏
Glad it was helpful 😀
Thank you so much! This video was very useful!
Glad it was helpful!
thank you really helpful video! just got my mobo updated thanks to this
Glad it helped!
@northern Viking everyday
hello i was wondering if i could still do this with my cpu installed with my stealth cooler or should i remove them quick then do the bio flash update
This video was perfect! Thanks!
You're so welcome!
Respect from Brazil, brother! Thanks ! Btw, chinese version has different USB for flash bios. Ppl need to check their mobo printed guide from its box!
Good tip! Cheers!
How long it takes to complete the bios update?
can i update my bios without disassembling my ram/processsor/gpu/ssd?
can u?
@ yes tried it without disassembled it work perfectly, but now im using the bios update inside instead of flashback
mine isn’t blinking will that cause any problems? the light is on still
According to the Asus website, it wasn’t clear that everything needed to be disconnected - unlike your tutorial!
This is the new version, the old one had a M2 slot for WIFI, I bought 2 of the older ones. Just because of the issues and the extra M2 slot.
That was very helpful thanks
No problem!
do we need to plug in cpu power supply too or just motherboard power suply?
how u know it was updated? mine does this but it wont update
Great video! One question, r u using the b550 (ATX) motherboard or the b550m (matx)?
It's an ATX. The link is in the description if you would like more info.
thanks for the info
You're welcome 🤗
Would skipping this prevent the computer from connecting to your wireless network?
Does the CPU socket heat up being powered? Wanna do this on a new MOBO before install, do I need to remove the plastic protector?
could this fix a no post issue? I am sure it should be one of the first steps after the whole checking to see if it's plugged in and all that, I am not getting a post no response to power button. removed cmos bat I did the normal multi-meter checks for shorts to ground... just not use to easy flash bios.I guess if the bios is faulty will it cause a no post but led is on?
Im building a pc with this motherboard and a ryzen 7 5800x thanks for the tip
You're very welcome 🤗
Does it work with the Asus tuff gaming b460m Intel motherboard
How do I do this if the pc is setup allready
I don't see RAM in MB slot ?
Why it doesnt come renamed already? Whats the point of doing that? ....
You're right, it's odd
My ASUS B550 gaming plus II wifi doesnt boot/post, it only shows the ASUS RGB logo on the VRM cycling different colors, no response from jumping the front panel pins either. I have a 5800x installed, could this flashback solve my issue? And would i have to remove the CPU to do the flashback? I only ask because i have a BeQuiet cooler installed and that thing is a major pain to take apart/reassemble. Would appreciate a response and thank you for the helpful video!
I should also mention that none of my fans or my GPU turn on either, no debug LEDS, thing is dead as a doornail besides that RGB asus logo
Hello, I'm having big trouble with the flashback. First, is the button stiff/tactile or something? I can feel any mechanics or "clicks" when I press it. And now, the led light keeps flashing with or without the USB drive. I took off the CMOS battery, discharged the CLRTC pins and still haven't find out the problem! I can't run my mobo, fans and CPU not working.
Hello, i have seen some bad reviews about this motherboard saying that it cannot recognize it’s own wifi card is that true or it just needs the update to be fixed?
I haven't had any problems. It's worked great so far.
The problem with this mobo’s wifi is that the driver on the asus website is not the correct one. Asus has you downloading a mediatek driver instead of an intel wifi driver.
How can I tell if my BIOS on my A520M PLUS needs updating? Thanks
When it stops working if you install a new CPU.
If everything works than no need to update.
Or you can just press del or f2 on start up see what the bios number is go to the cpu manufacturer's website and see if the cpu number is less than the board if it is no need to update save putting in a new cpu first and then it not working
Obrigado 🇧🇷
You're welcome 🤗
Boa tarde.
For those who have the light of the flashback who stay on, try to format your usb key with Diskpart.
1) Open cmd as an administrator
2) diskpart
3) list disk
4) select disk (x) x is the number of your usb key
5) clean
6) convert mbr
7) create partition primary
8) select partition 1
9) format fs=fat32 quick
** and try with an up to 8gb usb drive, not higher **
I did the same method but it did not work is it possible that the bios battery has a problem please answer brother
I have the same problem as you, how did you solve it?
Red light no working ??? Wahy!!!??
After almost 2 years
thanks man this is very helpful 🫡
You're very welcome! 👍
