Thx!! It works for the hat companies, that’s how I get shipments, and how they’re warehoused. Just with or without the box.

Hi Kev. Just put mine in the closet last week. Got a jar of mothballs in there with the lid open a little. Gotta make a couple of those rings.

Hi: Have you ever noticed any moth eating away a felt hat? See my question in the comments too. Thanks.

@@Mr.HarryPottergenerally they attack lighter colors like white or super light greys and tans, winter white etc.. but I never get any issues, but I’m also careful to only take vintage hats that are 100% clean, if you have had moth issues, you might get them on lighter hats, but if not, stay away from old looking vintage hats, or vintage in general. and moths are rarely a problem.

I do not store my felt hats in the summer. Here in Texas. it gets very hot but I wear my felt hats all year around. I go from air conditioning house to air conditioning car to air conditioning office. I wear whatever I feel like that particular day, no matter what season it is.

Thanks so much for your video. Do you believe that moth could destroy felt hats? My hat seller tells me that moth cannot eat up my felt (Beaver) dress hat. I left a pack of moth ball with lavender scent in my hat boxes because I got scared of the possibility of the moth making holes in my hats. The horrible smell of the moth killer filled up my apartment so badly that I got rid of them including the new ones I bought for my closet. I replaced the packs with cedar rings because so far I haven’t seen any moth.

Moths can get to hats, but moth balls suck I would get rid of them now before you’re known as that smelly moth ball guy, the whole apartment will smell like so,e greasy grandma from Brooklyn in the 60’s. There is a much better prevention, but don’t bother unless you had any issues, they won’t eat your dark hats, only light colors. And that’s rare,
If you had issues before, they might come back, but otherwise, ditch the balls now. And if you need moth prevention, I have a pleasant smelling solution for you. No need to do it unless you saw bites. Or moths flying around.
I have 300 hats in my home, vintage too and I never get a single moth.
      Not even one.

I don't have a ribbon, I have a Cavalry mens cord with acorns

Then no worry, you can just stack them, loosely,
or you keep the ribbon one on the bottom and the western bands inside of those
