I was glad to hear the origins of the trailer and the dedication behind it since its what drew me to the game.
The snippets from the filming of Joel's death. Among the most important aspects of the game to me are the incredible cinematics, the nuances of the performances. Seeing how invested all the actors were, how hard it was to film all this, was heartbreaking and great at the same time.
@@Sturzfaktor2 Absolutely. Sometimes it's easy to divorce the actual acting performances when it comes to the game, but god did you ever feel it with that sequence
when neil said that it looks like we may have another chapter , not a lot of games get me this excited about wanting more.

I love the part where characters would float in the air sitting criss cross applesauce, and now I want a whole game of that.
Games, even mid games, are pure magic. It is zeroes and ones coming together to create active entertainment. Everytime I watch some behind the scenes thing for any game, I am filled with nothing but respect to all these hardworking people. And ever since I got a Bachelor's in 3D art + animation and started pursuing a pre-production art job in the field... My respect has just shot up even more, and I have started relating with a lot of these devs' struggle (even if our disciplines are different). Making art is hard.

Being honest I was mad at the game when it first came out ended up not watching the game or playing it until recently last year. I’m glad I gave it a chance, sure I have some complaints but who doesn’t?
During the beginning where the game came out I heard that people had sent the voice actress for Abby death threats, that is where I just got pissed my thoughts were “what is wrong with you people, she just plays the character”. It wasn’t until then where I decided to check out her work and see what she had voiced in and worked on and I became a fan of Critical Role and their Amazon show.
Seeing this part in the documentary made me feel bad for Laura Bailey because she never deserved that treatment not one bit because she did great for the character.
I’m too excited to watch this but I’ll definitely come back here when I’m ready! Gah so exciting!

This game is considered one the most divisive titles in the industry for a reason, is that not an indication of mixed bag? The reception for this game is in no way comparable to Elden Ring. Elden Ring wasn’t divisive at all. Plus I’m not a hater, I actually really like this game if you did a little bit of research. Having received awards or getting lots of positive reviews by so called critics doesn’t change the fact that a huge part of the audience didn’t like this game and for their own valid reasons. Just look around and there is plenty of valid criticism for this game. Is it too much to ask for them to look back at the very divisive reception, the feedback and reflect on it?
@@Aether2125The metric used for the "most awarded game" thingie also used polls and reviews by non-critics.
TLOU 2 has one of the biggest completion-rates out there too (which isn't a thing in "highly controversial" games, lol).
The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered managed to sell twice as much as the The Last of Us Part 1 Remake did upon it's launch in the UK in 2022.
The game is nowhere near as divisive as Twitter or Reddit leads you to believe.
@@b.u.l.1734 completion rate only means that they completed the game. And obviously a lot of people who greatly disliked the game still completed the game. It is the sequel of one of the most beloved titles. If you want to see how the reception of a non divisive title is like in the same universe, just compare it to part 1. There was a lot of common criticism for part 2 around that you can find in every corner: how Joel behaved in the Jackson ambush being uncharacteristic of someone who survived for 20+ years, how so many players couldn’t relate to Ellie’s choice in the end of sparing Abby, the pacing, the writing of some characters, etc. I’m not saying I agree with any of these but those things don’t come from a place of hate, and are valid criticism points to be discussed about. At one part of the documentary they talk about criticism for one of the demos/trailers in depth regarding the violence against female characters. I was just hoping they would be more direct at addressing those well known criticism points when the game came out.

Wish they let Joel go out in a dope way like protecting everyone from a infected encounter and then maybe protecting Jackson instead of treating him like a side character
Love the last of us part 2 and Ellie and Dina are so much 🏳️⚧️🌸🌺🏳️⚧️ my favorite character's and I love the story and Abby 🏳️⚧️ and the soundtrack is awesome and I subscribed to your UA-cam channel 🏳️⚧️ at first in 2020 I buy it I was hurting the die of Joel but years later I let go of the hates of the game and story and how I love it and Understand I love naughty dogs my childhood 🏳️⚧️🏳️⚧️

To be honest I don’t think Part 3 should be made there’s nothing more to the story imo, then again I thought the same for Part 2 it was an unnecessary sequel to a game that didn’t need one I’d rather ND move on to another IP since they haven’t created one in 10 years

Ellie and Abby are both alive and have their lives ahead of them, there's plenty of potential stories to tell. Also Naughty Dog is working on a new ip right now just hasn't been announced yet.
A new IP is definitely something exciting to think about but there's definitely still a story to tell for Part 3, I also want to see how much bigger they set the bar for gaming and visuals in the next one.. we also have to get a Tommy DLC showing his journey. @@quietdemon8138
