Planting a Perennial Container Combination

Most often when we think about planting container combinations we think annuals. However, perennials and even shrubs are a great choice when planting in a container. The plants I used are linked below.

Sun king needs shade while the coneflowers need more sun. Wouldn’t work in my area.

In the late summer the sun is not as intense as it is in high summer. The Sun King can handle part sun conditions here in MI.

In a cold climate, where do we put this pot over winter? Leave it outdoors; in an unheated garage? Important info that should have been included.

I would not recommend leaving this pot out in a cold climate, it may crack. Once you are done enjoying the flowers in the fall you can plant them in the ground.

This would have to be emptied before winter hits. You dont want it to freeze and thaw
