The Moment Distribution Method is an iterative structural analysis technique used to determine moments in statically indeterminate beams and frames. Developed by Hardy Cross, it simplifies complex structures by distributing unbalanced moments at joints until equilibrium is achieved. The process involves fixing joints, calculating fixed-end moments (FEMs), applying distribution factors, carrying over moments, and repeating the distribution until the moments converge.
