I hate it when they force you to get a bigger device for the better specs. I'd pay extra if the regular size came with a full he screen, two cameras and more ram. One thing the pixel got right

You don't need QHD resolution on smartphones, 1080p is good enough on a 5.5" phone. Samsung unnecessarily drains battery by putting QHD on their 5.1' S devices
It has nothing to do with QHD, you can lower the resolution to HD and it still drains around the same rate.
12391videos It still affects the battery and gaming performance. Its the quality of display which matters not resolution past 1080p. Though Samsung makes the best display , its because of the great brightness, color modes, viewing angles. Not the QHD resolution.
I returned my 7 plus for an s7 edge solely because of the battery life. They are obsessed with making there devices thinner when there already thin enough. Removing the headphone jack and making the battery smaller for this. The 2 hours more is a lie what I found ive used the 6 plus and the battery life was about 6-6.5 hours screen time when the 7 plus is 5.5-6.5
Yet the S7 edge has a better battery life than the 7 plus, so your argument is flawed.

i had the 6s Plus. and i just got the 7 last week. and the battery is GREAT. speakers are amazing. Water Resistant *i definitely don't recommend you guys to shower with this, water resistant is just good for just in case it rains outside, or an accident of it falling in the sink*
Great review. I always stick to my word. I said I would let you know what model I choose, well I chose the standard 4.7 iPhone 7. I've now gone back to my S7 Edge. I've realised iPhone isn't really for me anymore. And that was 6 years I with iPhone. S7 Edge has converted me. x

Going from an iPhone 5s to the 7 Plus is a huge improvement. Not only is the screen real estate bigger but it functions much better in my opinion. So glad I upgraded.

Just got the Matt black iPhone 7 plus 32gb. Best ever phone I've owned and that's from someone who's had or tried practically every phone available. The best overall is undoubtedly the iPhone 7 plus in my opinion.

I have had this phone for 3 months and it's a great device. I am always on my phone and I love how responsive this device is.
I find the iPhone to be extremely expensive and not worth that huge premium especially since Android offers you so much more choice at every price!

The Peel Case for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus gives it good grip without the bulkiness of a regular case.
After taxes and in the states this phone will cost me about $950 for the +128gb model. But I'm using a 4 right now so I'll deal will the massive price. This review help me with that, thanks!!
if you use a Iphone 4 its a mayor upgrade, but the phone is bigger so you need to get used to that :) otherwise if you intend to keep it for long like 4 years go for it, if not wait for next year iphone 8 or whatever its gona called. itl be more worth it...
I've been using my iPhone 7 plus for over a week now and I cringe at the thought of ever using another android device, they're clunky, power suckers and just unreliable, Apple charges so much because their phones aren't junk. The way of the world is, you get what you pay for. I've had lots of other phones and they're not even in the same category. The display, the speed, the easibility, and I'm addicted to iTunes. lol, I love my iPhone 7 plus.

My sister bought me the plus in jet black and I used to have an iPhone SE and going from 4 to 5.5 inch screen is a big difference
It doesn't seem to bring much new to the table. It's like an iPhone 6S Plus 2.0. I think the Note 7 is (I suppose I should say was) a better device. It has a bigger screen in a similar form factor and a higher res display. That Jet Black sure looks slick, though.

I have a silver iPhone 7 plus and it's blazing fast, with the most refined design don't ask if it's worth the upgrade.. just buy this phone. Or wait till next year both the 7 and next year's r worth it IMO

I have the iPhone 7 Plus in Rose Gold and in my opinion, it didn't have to be so thin and heavy, it feels like someone is pulling your phone to the ground all the time
I just sold my 6+ and next month I'll get the 7+, I just can't wait! A lot of people think I'm wasting money because they don't see the difference between them.
Felipe The best thing to do is wait till next September. That is the 10 year anniversary for the iPhone and everyone knows it's going to be a major overhaul, which explains why the past two years the upgrades have only been incremental to the 6.

Battery is for most part better then on the 6plus... But if you can wait one more year definetly go for one next year. Could even be that they release iphone 7s and 7s + with special anniversery iphone 8.. or just the iphone... since 7s and 7s+ are mroe optimization treats then upgrades.... that said it could be they just drop the s version since the 6s to 7 line was and updating .... dunno will see.

Me and my friend switched phones for a week, he had the 6S Plus and I had the S5 to see what they are like earlier this year, I have tested the iPhone 7 Plus but returned it for an S7 Edge, the main reason is the battery life. The 6S Plus lasted about 7-8 hours on-screen time when the 7 Plus lasts for 5.5-6 hours. I totally think this 2 hours extra is a lie.
good job you didn't go for the iPhone 7 - the battery is awful (compared to the 7 Plus which you were disappointed by)

Nah, A lot of us just don't want to carry around such a big lug as the 7 plus. The battery, screen, and camera are excellent on the 7. If you like to be able to use your phone with one hand, and you want it to fit nicely and comfortably in your pocket, want a phone with a low profile when you have it out in public, get the 4.7 inch.

if you want bigger battery life then yes, better camera go for it, faster phone yup, and nice display maybe... main advantage would be battery life and performence overalll smother working... vs the 6 plus... vs the 6s plus i wouldnt upgrade it since that one is near enough to say nah thx il skip to next year...
save yourself 1000 $ and tell the monkey to suck it up and wait for next year if apple dosent make a huge jump next model many will prob. leave for other company... I am using a 5s now did order the 7 plus but just since im gona keep it for the next 4 years like i stuck with the 5s which is having space issues only the 16g... if you tend to keep an iphone like 4 years use media appps take lots of pics and other stuff those updates will eat at your space :) but the 6s is for your needs totaly fine... no need to spend 1000 $ for a new one save those for the next model if your monkey wants to itch then... ;) cheers

iPhone 6s Plus user. Really thinking about getting 7 plus just because of the speed and home button and water resident worth it? Ik my 6s plus works fine. Btw how fast is it from the 6s plus? I read on apples site that it's the fasted chip in a smartphone but how fast? Will it be a huge deference? Or is it the same exact speed?
the speed difference is barely noticeable. the biggest difference as you say is waterproofing slightly better camera. I wouldn't recommend upgrading :)
The Tech Chap I noticed the home button feels better. I don't think it's a button but I really like that. I'm really thinking about getting a 7 plus. Ik my phone works fine. I think the iPhone 7 is cool cause of water resistant and the new home button and better camera.
the main difference would be camera and Battery life since that was improved on the 7plus vs the 6s plus...

i'm not sure what resolution snapchat records at, definitely not 4k though only the camera app can record in that resolution

You can buy a 128gb 6s plus on the Apple Store for £699 now. A jet black 7 plus starts from £819 in 128gb. You're probably not going to use the 7 plus no differently and you can save £120.

Great Review, very detailed and informative. I still have the Iphone 5S so i am well overdue for an ugrade and will be upgrading to the Iphone 7 plus 256GB. I have heard that next year Apple will be doing a huge overhaul of the Iphone 8 for its tenth anniversary so I will take very good care of my iphone 7 plus so I can resell it and get the 8. Im still undecided of the color of the Iphone i want for the 7 plus, im between Jet black, black and Gold, I do have the gold 5S and looks great so im leaning more ttowards the gold, and advice ?
Why would you buy the 7 then if youll buy the 8 next year i have and 5s and its stil rockstar like love it ordered the 7+ since il be keeping it for like 3-4 years as the 5s... save the money for the iphone 8 next year live one more with the 5s ... or you are throwing away 400 quids...

You laptop most likely doesn't have a 4k screen, so it would be pointless
with youtube and the way things get uploaded. you will always benefit from streaming in the highest resolution possible regardless of your screen resolution. as long as your internet can handle it.

The Samsung S7 edge backside camera is better than the 7 Plus camera specially in low light. Although Samsung's post processing software is a let-down vs. the iPhone's. S7 Edge's internal storage and memory controller are slower than the iPhone 7 Plus. The S7's storage expansion card speed is also far lower than its own internal flash storage. And offcourse there is the eternal issue of....Samsung's poor track record of OS and security updates while Apple gives you at least 4 years of timely updates. Samsung knows how to cram good components in a handset but ultimately lacks the finesse to marry them to the software platform..the Pixel is a better example of software prowess in the Android world.

LAELUIGI if you want an iPhone this is the one id recommend. if you're not bothered, the Galaxy s7 is my current favorite (though may change as I'm reviewing the Pixel at the moment). as for the Razer, I was in Berlin on Thurs at the launch so got to play with it! beautiful machine and seriously awesome specs. so expensive though
