They went in from the bottom. No, the engine did not need to be raised and the steering shaft did not need to be disconnected. I did remove the starter for added clearance.
I got the dipstick used off the Corvette Forum. They are tough to find. I had it up and regular 2 ton jack stands. Pretty much maxed out. Nothing crazy though. Trust me, not a difficult install at all.
@@EvoBlk if you got an early vette where the dipstick tube attaches to the stock manifold you should get the later style dipstick tube which mounts to the cylinder heads. You also need the associated dipstick because the tube's length is different
I don't think so. It sounds so much better, it gives you the illusion of more power. I have not gotten it tuned yet, as I'm planning a cam swap next month. I will tell you, I felt a difference going to the LS6 intake. I have a 2000 and had the LS1 intake.
@@Chepo1500 The 2000 models had an LS1 intake stock. You'll want to check the part number on the intake to be sure you have an LS6 intake. They are worth a few more hps.
@@302vettelife2 yeh I've heard that from others, I'm doing headers some time this summer and I think I'm going with the high flow cats. Thanks for getting back to me.
@@Chepo1500 the Corsa system was on it when I bought it. Plan on having a muffler shop weld everything up for you while you're done. I think I paid around 90 bucks to have that done
@@jasonclement8205 not yet. I have a few more mods to do before I tune it. I was thinking about a mail order tune to get my by. Very happy with the exhaust though.
Love the aggressive sound!
Nice! I’m also from Delaware about to install headers on mine this weekend.
Sounds good brother! I almost bought a yellow one myself.
Sounds good man!!! All these yellow vettes looking good and sounding great!! @YellowvVette04
Thank you. Ive been very happy with the headers. And Corsa is just the best.
I need these on my build for sure!
I have a 98 c5 and just order this exhaust set up. Do I need a later or dip stick?
great video, the car sounds great....
Thanks man!
Sounds great man. The way a corvette should sound.
Thanks man. Love your channel
How much did they charge for the weld if you don’t mind me asking
Is there any cabin drone with the Corsa on this setup? Asking for a concerned wife. I just ordered my set today.
Shawn, zero drone. I'm not going to lie, its noisy when you are on it, but nothing sounds as good as a corsa on the vettes, in my opinion.
@@302vettelife2 awesome I put Corsa on every V8 I buy. Looking forward to it.
@@psycoe Awesome. Good luck my man.
How do they go In? From top or bottom and did you have to jack the motor up to install them?
They went in from the bottom. No, the engine did not need to be raised and the steering shaft did not need to be disconnected. I did remove the starter for added clearance.
@@302vettelife2 thank you very much
@@kenporter4833 You're welcome. Let's us know if you go with them and how you make out.
Straight pipe no cats or mufflers correct ? I was thinking about doing speed engineering with torquer V4 cam
I have a corsa sport axle back, no cats

What cat back are u running? Car sounds good
I have a Corsa Sport axle back. And thank you!
No CEL problems without having cats? Any need for o2 sensor extensions?
Yes. You'll need to have the cats tuned out. No, I did not use extensions.
You didnt need 02 extensions? Place told me ya do lol. Why not?
@@SimplyJustRandomness I had plenty of wire without using the extensions. You can use them if you want, but it's not necessary.
How are headers holding up?
Nice video, where did you find the 01-04 dip stick? How high did you need to lift the car to go from the bottom?
I got the dipstick used off the Corvette Forum. They are tough to find. I had it up and regular 2 ton jack stands. Pretty much maxed out. Nothing crazy though. Trust me, not a difficult install at all.
You have to swap the dipstick?

Ls1 doesn't have egr? My 02 c5z does. That's what's delaying my decision on headers
No C5s had egr's. What are you talking about the AIR injection?
Did you notice big difference after long tubes ? I heard like 25lbft at like 2k rpm

Most definitely

What size is the tips ? 3.5 or .4in ?
2.5 probably
Did you have to change the oil tube and lip stick ?? I got those headers too not installed yet .
Yes, I had to get an oil pickup tube and dipstick from a 2001 through 2004 LS1. The earlier dipstick will not fit
302VetteLife ok so I would need it also .
And you still have mufflers correct ?

302VetteLife you welded the exhaust? You didn’t use the clamps ??
So all you have is just headers and x pipe that’s it? No other modifications? Imagine if you crammed it
This was like the first mod I did. Yes, I did a heads/cam/intake down the road. Made good power for an LS1.
My car is a 2000, not a 2002. I miss spoke.
