On the more serious side. You should have used new fasteners with a locking device on the new headers. The stock bolts will start backing out quickly and you will have exhaust leaks. Do not use spacers on the rear wheels, you are asking for trouble. I know it is expensive, but buy new rear wheels that are wider to get the look you want. And lastly, your transmission seems to be short shifting (or you don't have your foot to the floor) You might want to look into getting your shift points changed. AND yes, sounds great and a very good upgrade, congrats!
Good looking Vette! I've got an 04 in the Reno area myself. I'll be doing Texas Speed heads/cam/longtubes someday, but for now I'm just working on some smaller stuff to compliment the "stockness".
Ship your PCM out for a tune! 100 bucks for 20 HP. Im mid install now in my Z06 with LG superpro's and its such a PITA... Also doing lots of other stuff so im in no rush. Great video!
I miss mine being straight piped (headers, catless x-pipe & muffler delete) i have videos on my channel bro & now you have the same rims as me sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeshhhhhhh !! looks & sounds great man 💫
Now that you've imstalled the LTs you shouldnt wait too long to get it tuned. You're likely running lean at low throttle and pig rich at WOT. The tune will dial in your AFR and net full HP potential. The tune will help your upstream O2s from failing. The aftermarket wheels look cool but you were better off with the OEMs or the C6 OEMs and a spacer. Aftermarket wheels are heavier. Bad for steering response and slow the car down due to more mass to move. Good luck with the build and have fun!
Did you have Drone before you installed the xpipe and headers? We have a C6 with Corsa axle back and the rest is stock. it has terrible drone at highway speeds.
I'm between a C5 or a Jaguar XKR man, I just know the Vette is cheaper and better driver focused car. Way cheaper yo maintain too... is a clear winner BUT the XKR is such a gorgeous car :(
Did you do a dyno tune afterwards?I'm getting long tube headers on next week already have borla exhaust and cold air intake then week after I'm getting dyno tuned
Did you recently purchase the Texas speed headers ? Looks like they have a bolt on flange to hook up to axle back . Pics on their site and customer service state I must cut the factory H pipe and use rear section to hookup axle back
Purchased them directly from TSP’s website on May 8th. I had that same question based on the online pictures not showing a bolt up connecter. But they do in fact have it, and the fitment is 9/10. In TSP’s description I think it says something along the lines of “this will bolt up to oem and most aftermarket axel backs”, which does appear to be the case. No cutting required, and I think they're on sale this weekend for Memorial Day. Thanks for the question! Cheers!
Were you able to use your stock size tires with the z06 rims ? I have replica ZR1 rims that are zo6 speck ( 1 inch wider than stock rims . ) I was told by several tire professionals the tires will fit , not do sure . If you did buy new tires what I are the sizes. Please and Ty
I purchased the replica C6 Z06 wheels used, and they came with the tires already mounted. The front tires are 265/35 R18, while the rears are 305/30 R19. So I've gone a little wider than stock, and a little taller all around. I think the stock 275 rear tires would be a little over stretched if I tried to put them on these C6 replicas.
I used the factory o2 wire clips to hold up the majority of the sensor wire, then used the wires stiffness to arch them in a way where they wouldn't come in contact with the headers. I've had the car on stands a few times since the install, and the wires haven't moved at all.
I don't know the exact specifications; they are the gaskets that come in the TSP kit. They're MLS and fit perfectly on the ls1, looks like the part number is "TSP MLS Gaskets (25-EG7944)".
Sounds amazing!!! In person will be great to hear!!
True fan!
Sweet sound. Nice ride.
Thank you for posting this Mr.
Gorgeous car!!!

Funny, American racing suggestion is to use old bolts.
@@deeznutzz101 They are probably afraid someone will buy the wrong bolts and either strip the bolt holes or crack the head.

Beautiful car and done well with exh upgrade 👌 sounds awesome
If you are going to play background music, two suggestions: #1 Don't #2 Don't play sh**ty music.
Super nice. Great work 👍

we got the exact same setup love how mine sounds too
My second role went crazy 💪
Indeed
TY-VM, WELL DONE
Nice ride, bro , I have similar set up on my vette too , no drone ether....hey a nice background music, that's my kinda play list

Thanks mate! Those C6 Z06 wheels were meant for the C5!
Those wheels are way better 👍🏻

nice video, sounds good but i prefer the „boaty“ H-pipe.
what are your seats?🤔

Cam swap will complete the exhaust sound
13:45 that sounded exactly like the minecraft oof sound lol

You deleted all of the cats? Did you get a tune? The check engine light will be on forever.
Sounds great, but now how are ya gonna pass Cali smog with that check engine light on?
is your check engine light on because of the headers? did you hook up all 4 sensors
Check engine light on and oil pressure sensor bad ?
check engine light is on! ha. drives me crazy!
7-8 mm spacer will fill the rear fenders….. don’t go more than 8mm or the tire will rub the fender even with the stock 285s in back
Did u hookup all 4 O2 sensors or did u just hook up the two on the manifolds. Also what did u do with air pump
Do a video on replacing your oil pressure sensor.
That's coming! 👍 The intake manifold will be coming off, no cutting into my baby's trim...
@@vetteroots4690 If you remove the intake manifold, install a remote sensor. They have a history of going bad
That sound tho
Did you do a dyno tune afterwards?I'm getting long tube headers on next week already have borla exhaust and cold air intake then week after I'm getting dyno tuned
Are they 1 3/4 or 1 7/8 headers
You jacked up the car at the oil pan?!
Need to remove the positive lead. Otherwise the whole electrical system is looking for a ground, and zap! The car sounds terrific!

@@vetteroots4690 that’s awesome to hear I’ll have to get a set ordered

how did you route the o2 sensor wires to where they arnt sitting ontop of the headers?
I used the factory o2 wire clips to hold up the majority of the sensor wire, then used the wires stiffness to arch them in a way where they wouldn't come in contact with the headers. I've had the car on stands a few times since the install, and the wires haven't moved at all.
Dropped on bolts? Or afterMarket suspension?
The front's lowered on aftermarket bolts, the rear is lowered on just the factory bolts.
Drop it down you will be surprised how much better it will look
Do you know what size your gaskets are on the headers

What's the tire sizes and wheels?
check engine light on!!!
Oil pan looks a little damp or is that just me
Yes, from a power steering leak that I have since fixed. Good eye!
Get a cam no heads, and you will have a hellcat eater!
