One of the hardest hitting songs ever. The classic is always prime but real instruments bring this song to full life. It's really fun to play.

I love the part at 0:22 when the waveforms of DSP 3 and DSP 5 completely change from synthetic-sounding _bleep bloops_ to something a lot more realistic and ominous. That's the part of Gangplank Galleon when you realize that this is _not_ going to be an easy boss fight and you've been completely tricked by everything leading up to this point.
It's such a brilliant marriage of gameplay and music. The only other moments I can think of that are similar are the boss battles from two games scored by the Follin brothers (Equinox and Plok, to be specific). When you're up there with the Follins in terms of getting music out of the SNES sound chip, you're in truly sublime company.
P.S. Also maybe "Pokey Means Business" from Earthbound.
