Eric, I have to say that your channel is truly wonderful. And the Craftsman's Legacy series absolutely hooked and captivated me. It had also inspired me. I got into wood craft after nearly 20 years in uniform. Before, it was just an escape, but now it's my life. After a traumatic event I put the uniform and that lifestyle in the rear view mirror. As you have said, I'm doing it for my soul. It has been a challenge after giving up the security of a career, but I've never looked back or regretted it. Seeing these craftsmen that you feature, and hearing their stories has really stoked the flame, given me something to relate to and helped to remind my why I'm doing this. This is the best series I've stumbled on to in a long time and I hope to continue to see more from you.
In my opinion, a Craftsman is someone that can build something as close to perfection as possible. An artist dreams of things that don't exist and make them come to life.

As a glazier by trade and having a friend who owns an art glass studio I never get enough of watching this. I prefer warm glass as a medium, but having tried this I can honestly say this is amazing every time I witness it. Love the channel and I'm so glad you had a day of exposure to this craft Eric!!!
What an interesting episode to watch! The process of blowing glass is so amazing and almost mystical. April is truly a master of her craft. She makes it seem easy, which I'm sure it's not!! The glass cup you created together turned out awesome! You seemed very at ease doing that work!

I would love to make my art my lifestyle and this just cements my ideas. Id love to give glass blowing a go. The arsenic shape and material just calls me.

I'm from Brazil and I work with sculptures and dolls. your channel helps me a lot. however the subtitles are in English and there is no option to translate into Portuguese! Please release the subtitles in Portuguese! I don't understand English and I'm curious to know what you are talking about. The videos are great, but I don't understand English, which makes me frustrated because I don't understand what you say.! Well its interesting Eric, my opinion is that craftsmen originally made products of a functional nature in wider society and in that respect you could consider even a butcher or a vinegar maker as a craftsman. In the 1800's the term craftsman was generally respectfully applied to time served qualified people. The idea of middle class product culture fuelled craft faddery did not really occur to them. Shows you how much we have changed. But say you are a craftsman and you become so good at mastering what you do that you are considered a ' Golden wizard' of your trade. You then become a master craftsman, finely tuned into what you do. You then can use your craft for the purposes of expression. Then you become an artist or artisan. Its probably no accident that todays successful artisans generally seek to have an educated back ground just like they did years ago. Though I always find it strange that we seem to have dropped the 'apprentice' and artists have to find their own way. Sometimes I think that we loose the generational knowledge that way.
Interesting and delicate subject. Totally agree that she’s pretty - but what made her gorgeous was how in-tune and knowledgeable she was with her art, and and how she seemingly - so effortlessly conveyed that information without the slightest hint of stress, or rushing… now that i found sexy!
